Surely this is good news? Instant relegation for them if signed and who know''s maybe they will be blown over by the ''Fozzy Flick'' which we saw a grand total of zero times here at Carrow Road

"Mick McCarthy is on the look out for an impact signing. With Wolves dropping into the bottom three at the weekend, the pressure has begun to mount on McCarthy and his squad. Without a win in our last eight Premier League games, only two wins since August, our results of late have been dire.

Unfortunately the goal that Fozzy had an eye for was usually his own, as he either went backwards or sideways like a cut price Ray Wilkins[:P]

Hucks thinks he''s a good player, also said Carl Robinson was a good player. Maybe were all a little too harsh on these players? They were at the club in a pretty bad time, poor form etc.

Fozzy clearly has the ability, he just has a funny attitude, seems too arrogant. But at the same time seems to not really try anything to special, on the occasion he did try a Fox like long range pass, they normally paid off, he just went for the simple ball most of the times, and put in little effort to chase players down and cover defensively. Also making him captain was probably the second worst thing Roeder ever did for us. Not a captain in a million years.

Carl Robinson is/was a better player than Fotheringham.

 

David Fox is a significantly better player than Fotheringham.

 

Fotheringham is a decent player when it comes to keeping things simple but just too slow/sluggish with and without the ball to be good enough for a club like Norwich. Doesn''t have enough in his locker to play successfully at the level he seems to think he should be at.

I reckon I''m the only one who actually thought he wasn''t too bad for us (in the beginning)...he was a decent player in a pretty poor squad and the frustration of that fact took its toll.

Carl Robinson was a good player GP. Better than a lot that followed him. But so was Fozzy. Not everyones cup of tea but at the time was the hardest working player in the team. I remember when I was lucky enough to get a Colney visit they showed me the player stats in the classroom. Fozzy ran further than anyone and his passing percentage was excellent. I remember going to Blackpool in November 2007 where we won 3-1. I picked Fozzy that night as Roeder''s future captain. The next week that''s exactly what happened. We then only lost one of the next 15 games and by mid Feb we were just four points of 6th and a playoff spot. But then it started to go wrong for Roeder and Fozzy became one of the many scapegoats. The decline of our club had nothing to do with Robinson or Fotheringham. It had everything to do with Roeder''s inability to build on his initial success and ultimately destroy it.

Sorry but I saw fotheringham play enough times to know he was a very average championship player at best. I rated Carl Robinson but fozzy was awful and one of the worst captains ever.

As I remember it he was signed as a free agent in the January. His contract was for the rest of that season with a one year option. Which was sensible. I wasn''t aware that he refused to sign a longer contract. I thought the option was taken.

 

I''ve seen far worse for us and he certainly played for the shirt when I saw him. But it''s all about opinions I guess.
