NCISA regrets to announce the resignation of Chris Wright as Chairman, which will be effective immediately.

Due to the long term serious illness of his wife, Chris is no longer a season ticket holder and has not been able to attend as many City games as he would like in the last two seasons. This has, unfortunately led to criticism from some quarters, which Chris felt could damage the Association.

Chris will continue to help with the running of the Association’s website www.ncisa.co.uk. A new chairman will be elected by the Association’s members at the AGM in September, but in the interim Robin Sainty will undertake the role of Acting Chairman.

The committee of  NCISA wish to place on record their gratitude to Chris for his hard work over the last few months, having stepped into the role during a difficult time for the Association and playing a prominent role in its reorganisation.

Very harsh reasoning for his resignation in my eyes, I wish him and his family every luck for the future

[/quote]My God.... has it really come to this? A good man who chooses to attend to his wife at such a time then takes criticism from fellow ''City fans'' for not being a ''proper fan''?It stinks... and shame on anyone who thinks a football club should ever come before a loved one. Chris is a bigger man for this in my opinion and it clearly proves my point regarding the pathetic season ticket bigotry so rife on here and around the club these days. You have my sincere respect Chris and well done for getting your priorities spot on. Let''s hope the scum in question don''t find themselves in such a position... but then again, would they even care if they were?Wankers.

More shame you Clucktwerp for attempting to use a sad situation to fight your battles, quite transparent because you are nobodies friend.

Everyone has "another" life and no-one knows their personal circumstances unless told which we have been.

Leave the internecine fighting for your other trolling threads.

Can I just take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been kind enough to visit this thread and send their best wishes to Chris and Mary. I have go to know them very well during my time on the committee and can confirm others judgement of Chris as a person. He will be missed.

As far as NCISA is concerned the plan to effectively create a new organisation with a new name and new committee after the AGM (as the constitution doesn''t allow us to make radical changes before it) will continue. Like Chris I want to see a supporters organisation developed on a primarily social basis, for which the only membership requirement is a love of Norwich City Football Club. Frankly, I don''t care whether people are active attendees or long distance fans. We are all different and the only common denominator is the club.

Hopefully some of you will be at our forum at the Ramada on Friday, where Chris Lakey, Chris Goreham and Michael Bailey will be making up a very lively panel. If so, I look forward to the opportunity of speaking to you.

So sorry to hear of your wife''s serious illness Chris and will be thinking of you both at this sad time . I know from talking to other ncisa committee members that you''ve put your heart and soul and lots of time into your ncisa role so maybe you''ll be able to play a part in the future, meanwhile you''ll know its in safe hands with Beauseant at the helm.

xx

I have had the pleasure of Chris'' company many times and you couldn''t meet a more passionate guy when it comes to Norwich City. This guy has Norwich City written through him like a stick of Blackpool Rock! The work he has put into NCISA recentley is tremendous, especially given his personal circumstances which I wasn''t aware of. Chris, take the time to enjoy your life with the Mrs - you don''t need to be at Carrow Road week in, week out to be a truely passionate supporter, I am proof of this. Best of luck to you and yours for the future, I hope you feel there is a way that you can continue with NCISA in one way or another. So, as Acting Chair NCISA have found themselves Robin Sainty - Beauseant. I have got to know Robin really well over the past couple of years, and the only thing we share in common is Norwich City. I feel that Robin is the perfect person to take the group forward and realise Chris Wrights vision of the future of the organisation.

I''m disappointed and a little shocked that considering the subject matter and reason for this thread, taht it has turned the way it has. You''re all as bad as each other and the "but he started it" behaviour is shameful for men of your age.Chris is a lovely guy and I really hope he doesn''t read this thread. For goodness sake, most of the people arguing on here actually know each other in real life, if you feel this strongly on the subject meet up somewhere and debate it out (or kick the crap out of each other) and draw a line under it.

Could we please now draw a line under this? We are all Norwich City supporters regardless of how much we may differ in other areas. What has happened has happened and I see no value in raking over the embers.

We have a highly successful club again, which will hopefully go from strength to strength, and that  should be something we can all be happy about. As for NCISA, as far as I''m concerned the only criteria for membership should be a passion for Norwich City Football Club and a desire to interact with fellow fans.

Just popped on the say many thanks from us both for your good wishes, they are VERY much appreciated.

What Mary has is not fatal (thanks to modern medicine) but has some nasty side effects that we hope, with time will get better.

So given that time and TLC we can both again prepare to journey accross Europe supporting our team!

Good luck and best wishes to all

The Butler

Regardless of what they all think of each other, I am certain that all members of the dysfunctional family that posts here wish you and Mary nothing but the best.
