KCanary 0 Posted July 7, 2009 What players were in your playground? Who were you aspiring to be whilst tearing your knee’s to shreds as you were smacking the ball in off your jumpers for goalposts? And why??!!!!!! Time to show your ages! Here’s mine… Chris Woods (my first sticker in panini 1985)Ian Culverhouse (lived round corner from me)Terry Butcher (1990, nuff said)Tony Dorigo (he was quick, weird one that I admit!)Neil Webb (had his sondico shinpads)Trevor Steven (don’t know why, liked his name??!)Ruel Fox (legend)Disco Gordon (the step over)Peter Beardsley (class but ugly)Ian Rush (goal scoring + Tash)Gary Lineker (err, goals) Not a bad team! Maybe missing a Rosario, Biggins, Putney or Bumstead! [;)]

McNamees attitude 0 Posted July 7, 2009 Good Post!Errm not that old myself tbh, only left school nearly two years ago, so most of the players will be fairly recent but here''s a list of players me and my mate''s used to pretend to be at school lunchtimes. Peter Schmeichel (When Rian played in goal)Crofty (ryan1992 when he played on the wing)Dion (Me when in defence or upfront purely cause I was big and tall but in all fairness have the finishing ability of Jamie. Sometimes I had to settle for Rusty if Reggie was playing he was huge!) Alan Shearer (My mate Stefan, the Newcastle fan, scored about 4 every time we had a kickaround)Vinny Jones (Jodi, who''d win the ball and crunch your ankle!)Cristiano Ronaldo (Mike, mental dribbling ability)Anderson (Snoop cause he looked a bit like him)

Herb 0 Posted July 7, 2009
i as a keeper was like paddy kenny (bit mental, NOT ON DRUGS)
I remember a game at Carra Rud a few years back when Paddy Kenny unwisely jumped for a ball he was never favourite for straight into (I think) an onrushing Doc. He was flattened and looked as if he''d been knocked spark out.As he lay motionless on the deck someone behind me shouted "Oh my God - we''ve killed Kenny....we''re b*st*rds!" GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 1,824 Posted July 7, 2009 John Deehan and Kevin Drinkell, was just lightly too old to ''pretend'' to be a player when Robert Fleck joined.
ACE 0 Posted July 7, 2009 I spent more time swapping panini stickers than actually kicking a ball...
The Chirp 0 Posted July 7, 2009 In goal i was always bryan gunn. To this day i always go to header the bar before the start of the second half... also only wear uhlsport ever since i was a little guy between the sticks just because that is what gunn wore... sad but true! When i play upfront i was chris sutton because like most keepers i love challenges in the air

ncfcfaithful 0 Posted July 8, 2009 In goal I was Grobellar, Des Walker at the back, Gazza in midfield and Linekar as the forward!!Italia 90 was a great Summer for me.
Blainsey 2 Posted July 9, 2009 Lineker and Gazza during 1990, and sometimes Klinsman!!Later it was usually Robins, Eadie or Crook.
Plastic Scouser 0 Posted July 9, 2009 I always fancied myself as a bit of a Hoddle...standing around midfield, not expending too much energy, shirt out, socks down and just casually placing those killer passes...Or at least that''s what I liked to think....[:D]
