Bovril 222 Posted December 23, 2008 A friend of mine was in Hospital yesterday where he saw Leroy Lita in the bed alongside, who broke his toe yeterday in training. I''m surprised this story hasn''t broken out yet but I would imagine a broken toe keeps you out for 2-3 weeks atleast...so looks like we have seen the last of him sadly. Bovril 222 Posted December 23, 2008 no idea duffman to be honest! I''m not a doctor, just reporting what my friend told me yesterday...I''ve just noticed another thread on a possible injury as well on here, so it looks like it''s true :(

Philipo87 0 Posted December 23, 2008 It is possible to play with a broken toe, but unlikly that a professional would play with one as usually they have to be ''100%'' fit to play. Plus it depends which toe you have broken also. I wonder if he was able to jumpthe queue to get seen. Took me about 2 hours for someone to tell me it looked like my clavicle was broken (it was really obvious as well due to it sticking half way out of my skin) and then another hour wait just for an x-ray!! I couldn''t imagine Lita sitting there for 3 hours waiting for this!!

Just a thought!
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted December 23, 2008 Toes normally take 2 to 4 weeks to heal properly, but they heal in time and given rest. And yes i''m suprised he didn''t go private on his money, I am sure I would have done.

The person who started this thread is a friend of mine who doesn''t start threads for the sake of it so either the person who told him read one of the threads on here from last night or its true! WeAreYellows49 0 Posted December 23, 2008 Well if your mate is right then we will most likely not see Lita in a NC shirt again. However I find it kind of odd that there is nothing on the official website to say he is even injured, let alone in hospital.

DOGGER 0 Posted December 23, 2008 Ryan Bertrand was getting his toe looked at, think this may be a case of chinese whispers??
ncfcstar 296 Posted December 23, 2008 Doesn''t the NNUH have BUPA patients as well though, I mean if that''s who he had private healthcare with, or am I mistaken?Surely Leroy wouldn''t need a bed though for a broken toe! When I my big toe broke playing football there was nothing they could do for it, and it was fairly comfortable to walk on, just not to play football with! And as someone said yesterday, isn''t Bertrand the one with a dodgy toe at the moment?
Pieman 0 Posted December 23, 2008 They do treat private patients there too. They have a lovely free (well, not if you count the £100 a month or so!) coffee machine in one of the waiting rooms, and choccy biscuits!

If I really wanted to moan then I could say my sister had her knee op in an NHS hospital, caught a nasty bug and then had to have her leg amputated by BUPA. Or that my dad died through a tumour on his lung being mis-diagnosed by a Jnr Doctor as fluid. The Doctors, nurses, specialists and all who work in the NHS do a grand job with what resources they have. However we as tax payers pay in part for that.
