Delias Tasty Nibblets 0 Posted August 30, 2008 When Curo came on today there was a fair number of fans in the Jarrold booing, and a couple of blokes in Block M getting up and shouting pretty harsh stuff accross at him...these fans should be ashamed of themselves, how about a group of people come to your workplace and boo you as you come through the door?By all means come on here and say what you want, at least Jaime has an option to look or not! But you''ve got to get behind the lads, he''s going through a bad run, and may well have been inconsistent since we re-signed him, but the lad is Norwich City through and through, and noone in that team wants it as bad. Dont get me wrong, I think Jaime needs to up his performances, but some people in the crowd need to learn some respect and get behind the team, or clear off. InLambertWeTrust! 0 Posted August 30, 2008 I had a go at some of the people who booed. Totally disgraceful
lucky green trainers 0 Posted August 30, 2008 yeah, there was some muted booing/muttering in lower barclay when he was announced pre-match as being on the bench!!!and also a muted ''whoa - jamie, jamie'' from lower barclay area e - when he came on - not audible i reckon in the jarrold, mind you, neither were the boo''s to jamie hopefully...its sad to see, but jamie is lacking confidence, and the legs these days...he loves the club, make no mistake, but it doesn;''t seem to working out for him here... Karl Pilkington 0 Posted August 30, 2008 That''s totally out of order. Cureton always gives 100%, he may have lost a bit of form but booing is the last thing, so called fans, should do. He needs courage not abuse.

SnakepitCanary 0 Posted August 30, 2008 There were a few boos in the snakepit, but most people just ignored it or had a go at them.
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,234 Posted August 30, 2008 DTN - There were a few half hearted, muffled voices of dissaproval out of a crowd of 24,000+ and it all fizzled out before it started, I cannot see why you are getting your knickers in a twist, and no I was not one of them. Lincs CR 0 Posted August 30, 2008 I was in a lower jarrold seat and heard a few mutters and moans but no clear boo''s. I''d rather have people muttering and moaning about him to their friends and people nearby, hopefully these initial boo''s don''t get out of control or his form will just do nothing but deteriorate even more
Yellowfuture 71 Posted August 30, 2008 There was a tiny amount of booing in the snakepit but nothing really, could well have been directed at Roeder for taking Lupi off so early. Not an issue to get upset about, something and nothing.
Mr. Bump 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Did someone swap the A and I keys on your keyboard or was that a play on words to say "I like" Jamie Cureton?
lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted August 30, 2008 i didnt go to the game but listened on radio, heard a bit of booing but i thought it was because of lupoli going off and the timing of the substitution rather then aimed at cureton. if aimed at cureton then yes disgracefull but im sure the booing wasnt at him. Delias Tasty Nibblets 0 Posted August 31, 2008 All i know was the guys around me, Jarrold block M, were booing Curo, and shouting stuff at him when he was on our side of the pitch. One bloke in particular was leading most of it, gestures, shouting and booing, knob. I also heard a lot of boos comming from the top of the Jarrold behind me, and a few from the direction of the barclay. If those boos were aimed at the timing of the sub fair enough and Im wrong, but if they were aimed at Curo it was out of order.
GJP 79 Posted August 31, 2008 I don''t rate him at all and was diappointed he came on (pretty early) for Lupoli. But I wouldn''t boo him for entering the field of play. But if he''d have missed a sitter then the emotions would have got the better of me and I would have booed him, if I''m being honest.

ca 1 Posted August 31, 2008 There were no boos in the city stand when Jamie came on and if there had of been anywhere near me then they would have felt the wrath of my tongue.I agree he''s missed a hatful of chances and a penalty but if he''s picked to play then we should all get behind him. I know his love for the club and the passion for our shirt doesn''t make up for his lack of goals but at least he deserves to be treated decently. If anyone knows Jamie they will know that he beats himself up about missed chances so whats the point in angry fans doing it too? Delias Tasty Nibblets 0 Posted August 31, 2008 He was quite old and very much balding yeah, Jarrold block M row V?
kdncfc 0 Posted August 31, 2008 Don''t agree with the booing but it has to be said that he looks a very poor player at the moment, maybe down to a lack of confidence and the boos certainly won''t help. I thought Koroma would have been a better replacement for Lupoli, his pace could have caused brum far more problems. Cureton broke down the left in the last couple of minutes and only managed to pick out a brum defender when he really should have done much better. I''m afraid Jamie has had his day and he may be lucky to make the bench if this new striker arrives.

The fact is he''s not good enough, but that''s no reason to boo him, it''s a reason to try and encourage him. I doubt we''ll see him for more than 15 minutes a match once we sign someone else up front, unless of course there''s an injury crisis.Cureton is to the strike force what Doc is to the centre of defence. Limited - hard working - not quite good enough. Booing any NCFC player is to me unacceptable unless they are clearly not interested and couldn''t give a monkey''s (Brellier). Cureton is not one of these players.
Mook 0 Posted August 31, 2008 I don''t think the fact that he "bleeds yellow and green" should come into it, nor should the fact that he''s been @$%! for the past 6 months.Norwich fans should not boo Norwich players unless there''s some extremely important reason. Just being not very good doesn''t count as an important reason.
corbs 0 Posted August 31, 2008 Reasons not to Boo your own players 1. It undermines confidence 2. The opposition fans like to hear this 3. You will look a pratt when they score 4. You show yourself up as not a true fan
