[/quote]lol....as many did last week i went to the game...and it was so obviouse that we needed a big man up there to hold the ball up when we did have to go long and give us that bit xtra in the box...we did get some balls into that area...

In a couple of weeks lapp the window is closed and you cannot do international loans so time is tighter than that. 

How much more likely is it at the moment that we end up with neither?

However if they win and it becomes clear we''ve no chance then I feel sure he has plan B to fall back on. I don''t think Roeder will let his team stumble through till Jan without another striker as it''s the only obvious weakness in an otherwise strong squad.

No one  other than pessimists on this forum has said that money is the main issue. Roeder went to the board with his targets and spending plans in May and these were approved.

Why no denial or comment from the club media or the NCFC board, then to suppress the great unrest?

''Hype'' was 3 seasons ago, promising us the moon on a stick during the close-season.....And lo an'' behold! All we got was ''Crofty, the stick.''

Any other club would have had a replacement striker long before the old one retired, they knew Dion was going at the start of last season, So who''s to blame for our position now.?

of couse the whole saga is down to money,how much is iverson going to cost us,cant be alot, other clubs in this position would force the hand of the selling club by improving the ,deal.

as for no backup plan its down to money,roeder is a big admirer of ameobi but we cant afford him,simple as that iversons the only one in our price range!

Agreed Lapp, the rest of the squad does look OK for a season of mid-table consolidation but this last piece of the puzzle is a crucial one.  As others have said, time to up the offer if we really want someone like other clubs do (if money is not a massive issue as we are told).  It is a sellers market for quality big strikers so you have to pay the market rate.
