Syteanric 1 Posted August 23, 2008 seriously im pleased Lupoli scored.. but he is just a loan Acquisition.. someone who will return to his club in the future....what then?do we go back to square one? or do we stick with a midfielder played out of position and a has been up front.. which we started todays game withjas :)
Canariesworld 0 Posted August 24, 2008 In the current game you can''t predict what is going to happen next week let alone in a years time when his loan runs out. If he does well we could buy him? He could get a really bad injury and have to retire? We could become the richest club in the world and just buy Torres or someone instead? If it was a short term loan then fair enough but its not, he is here for the season. OTBC

If things go very well and we get promoted (unlikely I know) but we, in theory, will be in pole position to sign him. If he gets crocked or doesn''t do well he goes back to Italy and we aren''t saddled with someone on high wages who we can''t get rid of. Of course we may be in a situation where some of the loan players do very well and we don''t get promoted and they may all return to their parent clubs - then we have to start again, that is the down side to loan players but we know this and it has been discussed on here before. The counter argument is that we probably couldn''t afford to buy all these players and in some cases the parent clubs may not want to sell (Owosuzi, Koroma & Lupoli being examples). For me, we have enough loans and any further additions must be permanent signings. Arturo Lupoli 0 Posted August 24, 2008 Lupoli has now got that much needed confidence to score lots of goals this season.success in front of goal is contageous and hopefully Lupoli''s new found confidence will help kick start the Norwich campaign and start to rack up a few wins and put Norwich City in touching distance of the top six. This is the season! Rocky Rocastle 0 Posted August 25, 2008 IMO Lupoli is still 2 weeks away from match sharpness and the Cardiff game shows intent (although one was a blatant mishit!)Surely in signing him we would have negotiated a purchase price at the end of the loan period??????? nutty nigel 7,902 Posted August 25, 2008 No Blah, I think it''s it''s how you move on from those mistakes.Last week - Lupoli is cr*p and couldn''t score in a brothel and Pattison is pants and is the worst player who played for us all this century [:O]This week - Cureton is crap and couldn''t score in a barn door, Lupoli will play in place of him when we get our new player. Now Pattison is finding some form Fotheringham brings nothing to our side and is now the worst player for us all century [:O]I bet all our players are looking forward to Doherty returning from injury. ncfcstar 342 Posted August 25, 2008 To be fair Nigel, Cureton and Fotheringham have been getting a bashing for a while now, especially Cureton after his pretty terrible performance last year.
