Houston Canary 0 Posted August 3, 2008 Huckerby drew a yellow card on a pretty tame tackle from behind by Donovan. It didn''t help as LA scored in the 75th on a defensive error and hard shot. SJ as controlled the game and LA gets 2 goals on their very few offensive forays.

scott 0 Posted August 3, 2008 Huckerby, what a waste of talent playing in that mickey mouse League! I know that friendlies are deceiving but after watching the not very inspiring two home friendlies against Spurs and Colchester U anybody saying that a fit Hucks wouldn''t get into our first 16 would be so wide of the mark! Could really do with him in our present squad...can you imagine with Hoolihan as playmaker/in the hole and Rusty & Clingan behind...Lupoli(once fit&sharp) + powerful big mystery striker...?!?Oh well , we can but dream of that team. ps. I am over it ok. What are you doing on this thread anyway?

Houston Canary 0 Posted August 3, 2008 The LA Galaxy commentators are going on and on about how LA deserve the win, are playing great football, etc. - FozzieI was watching the game with Spanish commentary so if there was bias, I couldn''t tell you. However, it seemed to me that SJ had the ball way WAY more than LA did, and they certainly had 5 or 6 more good scoring opportunities than LA did. Ball movement, passing, attacking SJ looked very much in control, although a couple of Doherty moments got the score tied at 2 until the last minute winner. The LA announcers are obviously very biased if they seriously thought LA should have won that game. The fact they COULD win that game was surprising after being outplayed so badly. As the game progressed, I heard "Hockairby" mentioned by the commentators more and more frequently.
