 Green and Yellow

Only a friendly

Recommended Posts

Score is completely irrelevant - all that matters is formd and avoiding any costly, long term injuries.

I very rarely go to friendlies because of the irrelevance but this time it has caught my eye due to the number of our new signings and the fact that it''s Spurs (one of my very best friends ia a lifelong Yids fan and I said I''d go along and report back with an update!)

Ditto, hopefully some entertainment but as long as no-one gets injured.

Wherever I watch the game I''ll be bringing my Spuds supporting

housemate along, so I''ll go for a 2-1 to us! She''s not a massive fan,

mind, but it''ll be fun if we win![:D]

[quote user="Yellow Rider"] what ever the score it is of no importance, all we want is no injuries on either side after all it''s bill''d as a friendly and a sell out at that, We can say that we were the only pre season sell out and ask the Binners whats it like to see a crowed, also not forgetting Setanta will also be showing it live,

If previous experience is anything to go by they will p*ss all over us for about an hour and get 2 or 3 goals before taking off a number of players prompting a late rally from us ana late consolation goal. With all the excitement over the new signings its very easy to forget the gulf in class between the champ and the prem and spurs are a decent prem side. When we played West Ham last year we struggled to get the ball off them at times and I can see tonight being similar. if it isn''t then that is a very good sign.

Agree with Wiz again, its going to be a fitness game and hope no injuries happen. I do work in Haringey where Spurs are and work with a lot of Spuds fans, so a good performance and not to be too humiliated would be an advantage.
