I hate 1p5wich 0 Posted June 29, 2007 why did we let him go for only 3.5 mil ? time for the broad to go & now

7rew 0 Posted June 29, 2007 buy out clause - the mistake was made a year and a half ago.At least we got our money back.
Mr_Chimp 0 Posted June 29, 2007 Non-promotion clause, we had no opportunity to bargain for a better deal.Nice try, though.
Tom NCFC 0 Posted June 29, 2007 Cause that was the minumum buy-out clause in his contract.... sadly we could have got more but somehow Derby knew how much his buy-out clause was, thanks Earny''s agent!
Michael Starr 571 Posted June 29, 2007 Yeah, we''ve just been screwed!!!!!! I''m absolutely fuming! I''m the most positive person on here but i''m angry now.
mbncfc 1 Posted June 29, 2007 Once the clause is activated, I guess it''s up to Earnie from there.People need to remember that the clause was put in by Robert and his agent at the start. Without them, we probably wouldn''t have had him for 18 months.I would guess that is the problem with making last minute, deadline-busting deals when there are only small transfer windows to deal in. The player holds all the cards and can pretty much demand what they like. Alas, the club will go on.NEXT...
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted June 29, 2007 More cleverness from NCFC...Thats what you get when a player signs at 23.59 on deadline day....

Jarroldstander 0 Posted June 29, 2007 Shocking news for us. We have to go get Eastwood otherwise i seriously worry about next season.
Hairy Canary 754 Posted June 29, 2007 You can bet your mortgage that his agent has told Derby the level of the buy-out clause and negotiated a nice fat signing on fee for the privilage. If Derby felt he was worth £5m that gives Earnshaw £1.5m in his back pocket. Money NCFC should have had for squad strengthening.
Smudger 0 Posted June 29, 2007
why did we let him go for only 3.5 mil ? time for the broad to go & now
Absolutel agree 100%...This board of directors are an absolute disgrace.... far worse than Chase ever was!!!!Time to go and time to go NOW!!!I WILL BE DEMONSTRATING AT THE FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON.... Who will join me???What is even worse... is like as I have stated all along... Doncaster is today making hints that the measly £3.5million that we have got for Earnie is all that is going to be re-invested in the team!!! [:@]
Green and Yellow 0 Posted June 29, 2007 Re: 4.5 million fee agreed for Erny!! (Apparently) You are 100% correct some one I know has told me that Earnshaw has had a medical and all the negotiations are complete he will be signing. Part of the transfer includes Derby not getting relegated from the Premiership in their first season. On which additional money will be paid. Hate to say I told you so. Attached is a copy of my post from mid-May. The deal to sell Earnie was done long ago. And still some people on this site slate Smudger and Cluck and like minded people for being negative. The board are treating us with utter contempt. How long do we wait before protests start?
Yep absolutely... if that was what Earnie''s clause said then why haven''t we invested in other quality players to back this clause up???Now we will lose out on Eastwood as well... and have no chance of anything other than another relegation battle!!!! Cluck 0 Posted June 29, 2007 Why should this come as any surprise to anyone? Unpopular as it is I''ve been banging on about this shower of a Board for a long time...and despite endless cock-ups we still have some deranged believers.Time to wise up...and to accuses Earnshaw or his agent now of any skullduggery is childish in the extreme. He was far to good for us despite his weaknesses and used us purely as a stepping stone....Enjoy your free transfers...and congratulations to those who were conned into renewing their season tickets on the basis of any ambition. The proof of ineptness is there if any more were needed.......

We''re all entitled to our opinons on here. The fact that you''re "not in the mood" for Cluck today, does that not suggest that he is right?Personally, I couldn''t agree more with him.
