Yup - the lack of team spirit and fight, combined with a lack of direction from the coaching staff through confusing tactics is what is likely to get us relegated;   the ability of the players is what will save us.  And last nights result didnt help.

All I can do is cheer the team on and hope they respond,  not much is it?

Unless somehow Safri and Dion can play two full games each week, and we avoid further niggling injuries at the present rate, then I am worried. It is difficult to play consistently when injuries, tiredness, tightness cause massive changes each week. New faces are a disruption, but when surviving players have to play in new positions it is even worse. We need a "rub of the green", and a settled side for a few matches. After all we give Chelsea some concern for 40 minutes!

Since Plymouth it has been very worrying.

The problem is we are not really on a bad run, we have won the odd game. The fact is we are actually not very good, for several reasons...

That said, I have been worried in seasons before. It does not mean we will necessarily be relegated. It really starts tonight...

Even if, God forbid, we do go down, we''ll still have the biggest gates in League 1, because we''re City fans...................and thats what City fans do.

But yes, I''m now very worried.

Not on a bad run? We''re practically bottom, if not bottom 3, of all the form tables...

We are on a terrible run, and with Barnsley winning last night, things are going to get VERY interesting.

[/quote]Don''t let smudger know your going next year if we get relegated, according to him attending games is one of the reason''s we are in the trouble were in , in fact we should all stay at home for the remainder of the season that should help us out a bundle  with the team playing in an empty stadium.

If you talk to fans of other clubs it''s interesting that few of them think Norwich will go down.

I spoke to some Leeds fans and they''re convinced they''re going down. A guy I know who supports Southend says they''re actually enjoying their tussle at the bottom and are cheering their boys on with good humour, which sounds like a healthy attitude to me and part of me hopes they stay up accordingly (although not at our expense!).

QPR don''t look too clever, Luton tonight will tell a tale about them and us.

I think we''ll stay up, but I''m sweating.

Ricky & Alex,

I think if you read my post again it is pretty clear what I am saying and has nothing to do with rosey specks...

I''m also dreading tonight. Especially as Barnsley won last night.

I am starting to seriously question Peter Grant''s ability to be a manger, and more importantly the Board who appointed him.

There will always be fans sonny.

I am seriously worried by our position but it won''t stop me from supporting the team.

I am bricking it but if you cant be at the top fighting for promtion then the next best thing is to be in a relegation fight.......beats just playing to finish mid table, I think.[^o)]

Then justify your statement we aint on a bad run when we have won 2 in 12, that is relegation form. bottom line, i am not knocking you personally but the statement is abit naive.

In my opinion we are not on a bad run because, to me, a run is a short-term situation which could be corrected by a positve equivalent. EG: a good run. Would our entire season be a success if we went on a good run for the remaining 14 games and ended up in May in 14th?

I believe we are actually not very good - something indicated by our performances over the season and the quality of the results and teams we have put out. We have won the odd game but have spent a long time in the lower reaches of the league table. To me it seems quite the opposite to naive.

I know you could term our whole season as one long bad run. Maybe Chelsea have been on a good run for 3 seasons? But for me the crux is we have been poor, as measured by results, for far too long in my eyes to simply call it a bad run of form. This season we simply, and for a number of reasons, have not been very good.

I hope this at least makes where I was coming from easier to understand... [:D]

Whether we are not quite as bad as 3 other teams, and Ipswich, will only be answered in May. Will we be as poor next season? If we stay up and PG works some magic in the summer, then I think we''ll be a much better side for it.

I understand where you are coming from but do you seriously believe we have it in the locker the end of season run you hope for, i hope we do, but judging on our last 12 games results and performances i feel it could be a forlorn hope.

I just want us to stay up, but if we keep getting the same results we won''t.
I have absolutely no idea if we will stay up, or how. But then, I don''t get paid £5k a week to figure it out.

Judging by our season, and the players we currently have missing, as well as other sides who have been prepared for a relegation scrap for much longer, we are in serious trouble. Hence why I''ve been worried since the Plymouth match at Carrow Road.

We are IMO a poor side which is still in need a lot of work. But we are capable of going on a good run, if that is what you mean. All sides are and there is not always any logic to it...

Like most of the time I''ve spent as a Norwich fan, it is keep-your-fingers-crossed-time (for all the good it does)... [:)]

I think performances have (generally) improved, but strangely there has been no upturn in results. I see a bit more bite in midfield now and Martin looks promising up front with his two goals so should have bucketloads of confidence.

For me, we have genuinely been hit by extremely bad luck with injuries- this has resulted in constant chopping and changing exacerbated by the need to rebuild the midfield. The result? No settled side and the loss of the dvision''s most lethal striker.

So we may well be a poor side but we need a good run with a stable team. Trouble is, time is running out fast.

Next two games will have a BIG bearing on our survival chances. There are a lot of tough looking games ahead............relegation shootout with Ipswich in April anyone?
