Liverpool v Manchester City to come. I hear Alexander-Arnold has said something stupid just to wind it up a bit more. I can think of 115 reasons City will win but I hope they both lose.

3-1 now.

They have a pretty easy run in. Looking good for 5th unfortunately.

Yes those 3 points taken from us on Wednesday could well be crucial 😡

Possibly, but equally missed opportunities at Blackburn and QPR haven't helped.

I see the gap is now 5pts but with their goal difference it's effectively 6. No easy games this stage of the season and if we chase 5th, we should get 6th!

A play-off final against WBA wouldn't be a disaster as I'm sure that lot down the road are also thinking.

Obviously you'd rather be in WBA's position. But nine games to go in the Championship is plenty of time for anything to happen. I think we can catch them. I also think we can finish tenth. Going to be fun finding out.

Looking at the Home and Away tables highlights just how bad the away form has been with less than a point a game so far and is on course to be a lot worse than last season.

How did we not get him as part of the Idah deal??

Anyway, looking like 1 from 3 for 6th. Think WBA are certs for 5th.

We were interested weren't we?

Yeah we were… which is why I don’t know why we couldn’t do a deal… I suppose it was before Rowe getting injured…

Because he preferred West Brom which, especially at that time, isn't surprising.

Everytime Liverpool have a shot the camera pans back to Klopp. It's getting a bit boring now.

We could have manoeuvred it so that he didn’t have a choice, given the Idah interest.

He'd always have a choice, we're not City it's a bit naive to think everyone we're interested in is going to jump at the chance to come here. We were mid table fodder at the time

Pretty sure the Pinkun boys confirmed Johnston was a player we sounded out in the event of a late massive bid for Rowe. I suppose it depends which we would rather have.

Whatever the case, Rowe's hamstring injury is on a par with Sargents injury in terms of bad timing.

Not so long ago, everyone would have said Leicester were certs to be champions.

Spot on, to say a 5 point gap is enough to make them a certainty for 5th is silly, there are 9 games to go and towards the end of the season results can get very unpredictable e.g. teams at the bottom scrapping for survival can become a lot harder to play.  WBA are definitely front runners in the competition for 5th & 6th but that's all, the chasing pack is close behind them and we're the form team of the bunch.
