JonnyJonnyRowe 472 Posted January 31 (edited) Seems to be a huge number of rumours about all sorts of players joining various clubs, got about 4 rumoured signings ourselves. And yet there have been just 5 completed transfers in the top 4 leagues of English football so far today, 31st January, of which 2 are loans and none are in the Premier League. Its eerily quiet in terms of actually completed deals. Almost feels like there football has hit its credit limits, like we might be on the precipice of some sort of huge English football financial crisis? Branston Pickle 3,689 Posted January 31 With SvH seemingly about to sign, we do seem - as supporters - to have been rather distracted from the cdm that we were mainly expecting. Hopefully there’ll be a late surprise on that score. Re: the lack of general transfer activity across the board, perhaps the Everton/Forest situation has helped clubs to a realisation that peeing endless money away without any comeback has finally caught up with them.

Indeed. Not as much as a CDM rumour. Infact not many players linked with us at all. Bar a random Twitter mention of us being interested in Portsmouth winger, Paddy Lane. Who has played most of this season for them and only joined last January, so given they are on the way up I’d doubt that one has legs.

To be honest, it’d actually be quite fitting if they decided to rename it ‘Little Ipswich’. Edited January 31 by mrdi

Albeit they probably bank on someone just tuning in for ten mins here and there
Paul101 94 Posted January 31 lots of clubs skirting FFP multiple premier league teams needing to sell or cut the wage bill before they can bring anyone in West ham ,Aston villa ,Newcastle to name three none of them have money worries but just can spend the money they do have due to over spending rumour has it Man cities crimes are so great they might get a Juventus style kicking out of the league due to the 115 breachs of FFP outside of England there is even less money but thats normal

Google Bot 3,316 Posted January 31 (edited) What is a little eerie is that Binfield's local derby is vs Bracknell Town. And they just so happen to have a bird sat on a ball as their badge: I think we've found a glitch in the matrix. While Kris and Jake from Talk Bracknell Town seem nice chaps, Binfield Crazy seems a little unhinged. Edited January 31 by Google Bot 1

Pretty much zero activity, therefore no ripple effect. Whilst FFP is good in some ways, if you need money through player trading then it must be a right PITA. Many teams do **** all business in January, they all talk about what a difficult window it is. But as Norwich fans it seems many think it's a pre requisite for us. We simply HAVE to do something... So I guess we should be thankful for the bit of excitement we're experiencing, even though we have absolutely no idea how it is going to end up and whether the players we're almost forced into signing are any good.
