More seriously, perhaps a weight off his back as this won't have been a recent decision, and now playing to thank the fans and the club.

I disagree. There have been plenty of top midfielders without much physicality and dynamism, with Pirlo and Xavi probably being the best examples, but I can't think of a top centre back. It's also probably much easier to come on as a fresh sub rather than starting. He's also a proper professional, always works hard.

Exactly, which is what Sorensen should be. He's composed and good on the ball, but not the most physical.

Gibson, Hanley and McLean out in the space of a couple of days. Do not shoot me down, but is this the moment for Hayden?

Worthy Nigelton 1,066 Posted April 7, 2023 Idah's feet are too slow. He doesn't get it out of his feet quickly enough and that half a second means he gets tackled or the chance goes. I'm not sure how they train that out of him.

It wasn't the best pass really, in that situation you want it well ahead so the only option is to hit first time, the second Idah has to slow down to control it kills the momentum. Could start by getting his first touch right, it spun to his left and in reality at that point shooting with his weak foot was the right option.
