Pukki looks inspired. What the hell is going on?

Needs to impress for that desired new challenge at a new club.

More seriously, perhaps a weight off his back as this won't have been a recent decision, and now playing to thank the fans and the club.

That's more the argument against putting him in the centre of midfield to be honest.

I disagree. There have been plenty of top midfielders without much physicality and dynamism, with Pirlo and Xavi probably being the best examples, but I can't think of a top centre back.

And both of those were more deep-lying playmakers than anything else.

It's also probably much easier to come on as a fresh sub rather than starting. He's also a proper professional, always works hard.

Also easier when we are winning.

Can we not have goalmouth scrambles, please.

Maybe I'm getting old, but I can't see where the ball is when it's in our area because of the sun.

Exactly, which is what Sorensen should be. He's composed and good on the ball, but not the most physical.

I read Lungi a bit differently - he usually shows up well in tackle stats. Would say Gibbs is a better passer than Lungi is, generally.

Well, Lungi will go centre-half, but who's going centre-mid? Gibbs dropping back?

Think we can abandon play-off hopes now. Gibson, Hanley and McLean out in the space of a couple of days.

Do not shoot me down, but is this the moment for Hayden?

It's likely to be just a moment, too.

In theory, yeah. Depends how fit he is/how well he's recovered.

Idah's feet are too slow. He doesn't get it out of his feet quickly enough and that half a second means he gets tackled or the chance goes. I'm not sure how they train that out of him.

Marquinhos has actually had a good 2nd half.

Yes. And at the very least he's helpful defensively away from home.

I don't disagree with that, as I prefer Gibbs in midfield to Sorensen.

But I also prefer Sorensen in midfield to Sorensen at centre back.

It wasn't the best pass really, in that situation you want it well ahead so the only option is to hit first time, the second Idah has to slow down to control it kills the momentum.

Could start by getting his first touch right, it spun to his left and in reality at that point shooting with his weak foot was the right option.
