Luton one up at QPR in the early KO.

And push us down to 6th - if they win.

And it's that man again:

Goal! The ball from the resulting free kick arrives at the feet of Carlton Morris (Luton) inside the box, and he fires a lovely shot into the right side of the goal.

There'll only be one point between us if they win. Now we don't have the clueless clown holding us back, we can't fail to claw back one point against a team like Luton over the season with all our world-beaters, even without a manager.

We had a whole half season and a complete nine-game unbeaten run taking us to the top of the table with people persisting to get rid of him. We're here because they wouldn't let go.

Unfortunately they were proved correct, that’s life and that’s football.

We had a whole half season of dross and a lucky nine-game unbeaten run taking us to the top of the table with people uncertain whether or not to get rid of him. We're here because he couldnt improve us after all that time.

Look on the bright side. Now Smith is out holding on to a top six spot should be a piece of cake with this squad. Shouldn't it?

The atmosphere contributed to the drop in morale that led to the drop in performance that led to the drop in results that led to him being sacked. Eejit.;-)

Can you imagine the atmosphere and number of empty seats tomorrow had Smith still been here?

No brainer decision from Webber and the BOD. They too had clearly lost all faith in him.

That is true, but the atmosphere was caused by the performances, not the other way around.  Once on the performance we’re poor, the atmosphere turned, and then the results dropped further. We

Can't  prove that.  Its just your opinion. And i quoted what you wrote about threads not atmosphere .  Try another wing mirror.  More than enough frantic pecking to keep you happy.

Down to 8th now.

It’s all the Smith outers fault! See we are plummeting down the table without him already - right @littleyellowbirdie 😂

I wonder if the ‘Smith got us to 5th’ argument still counts when we haven’t played a single game since he’s gone but our true position under Smith was actually outside the playoffs

edit: no need to reply with your ‘fans made the atmosphere which made the results cràp’

It is an opinion. But still nobody who adamantly insisted Smith was holding us back is prepared to bet we'll finish in the playoffs or better, even though we're in the playoff positions at the end of Smith's time in charge.
