****The Official Lapps Match Thread v Preston (H/L) ****

Recommended Posts

Look away now if you feel we were dominated, couldn't attack, carved out so few oppertunities and deserved flat out to lose due to such a poor, poor, poor league one performance at best...

Not happy with Sinani. Saw him have one good game & thought I might have misjudged him, but now convinced he' just not good enough.

Honestly think he’d get a 0 or 1 out of 10. Must’ve given it away every time he tried to progress the play (apart from one short pass through for Pukki).

The best one was when Aarons ran from deep, getting past about 3 players, playing Sinani in behind and bombing beyond him for a 1-2, however rather than playing the simple pass back Sinani slows play down, cuts inside and immediately loses the ball.

I think this was coming. We’ve been very lucky for several games now.

How can you bring Sinani on hoping to get something out of a game. When he was starting a game at the beginning of the season we had good players to bring on to take his place but he’s not going to be a super sub ever.

It's clear you don't watch any of the games...

Their third goal was a deflected cross. So and og.

You're right, my posts in this match thread are a result of clairvoyance.

After Reading I said the results have masked some poor performances, that we lack identity and fluidity, and I don't know what system Smith is trying to implement.

Today, the result catches up with a poor performance after Smith changes the base formation and the players look lost in the process, especially at the back.

Your reaction? "It's clear you don't watch the games".

It's laughable. Have some humility.

In other words the majority of the team is poor and no where near a top 6 champs side

As I said earlier on today, I cannot see this lot getting promoted

Watford next last time put hoodoo to bed with 3-0 win.  Gunn and Gibxon played is this a sign?

Lol. Tell me you didn't go today without telling me you didn't go.

Football is played on a pitch, not a BBC web page.

We were ****ing ****.

Now, now. It's those of us who did actually watch the game who "clearly didn't watch the game"

🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm sure our xG was brilliant. They should let the fans in the stands know then they might be less disgruntled at what they're actually watching.

Given our lineup and Prestons defesive powers I would be happy with a 0-0.. Much as it pains me to say it

The Lilywhites.  Any of you think PNE's nickname is offensive or at least politically incorrect?  I say this because this is the world we live in now.

Has football changed? It’s goals that are counted all of the above stats is garnish.

TV games coming up Watford, Luton (red button), Burnley and QPR on Sky all before 3/11.  I will be able to see how poor we are, saw how bad at Reading

I'd normally agree but in this instance I think that even I could get this norwich squad promoted so....

I'll stick to wishing we don't concede 3 goals at home to a team who have scored 4 in 11.

It's the best squad in the league being managed by the 15th best coach.

No. But then that would be a change in argument.

When we score the goals and win games we're lucky. Even if the stats suggest we got what we have deserved.

When we lose the odd game in 10 all of a suddenly luck isn't a part of it, despite one opposition goal being incredibly lucky being that it wasn't a shot. Suddenly it isn't the opposition that are lucky, it's all about putting the ball in the net and nothing else matters.

You see, you can't argue both without looking like the only thing you care about is being right to the degree that you will chuck your last argument in the bin if there is a new one that disproves it, but suits you better.

Just back from the game. Most of the posters on here weren’t there so their views can’t be relevant . You had to see the game to really know what happened .

Anyone there put your hand up? Your views , I’m interested in.
