Yes but its all those johnny foreigners fault. Don't they trust us? Don't they remember how good we were when we were members? No need for all this paperwork. And nobody knew they would do this. But its all teething troubles and will settle down in 40 or 50 years.

The EU has also declined in importance as a trading partner, according to figures compiled by the Department for International Trade. According to the latest Trade and Investment Core Statistics Book, trade with the EU fell 1.7 percent in the third quarter of 2021 - compared to the previous 12 months. Meanwhile, trade with non-EU countries rose 3.3 percent over the same period. However, a significant difference was seen in goods, with total non-EU trade rising 13.6 percent while EU goods trade rose just 1.4 percent.

I think they do have WMD.

I am guessing Swindon is trying to say we are a powerful nation now we are on our own and Russia would be no match for us.

So apparently, God Save the Queen is trending on Twitter in Ukraine as Britain sends tanks and other military equipment to Kiev to help support the Ukrainians defend themselves against Putin's Russia. And the EU? Well Germany is blocking NATO ally Estonia from giving military support by refusing to issue permits for German-origin weapons to be exported to Kiev. Germany pulling a 'France' as they need Russian gas supplies.

With Biden in lala land, the Russians have turned to Britain's defence secretary, Ben Wallace, inviting him to Moscow for talks this week on the escalating conflict.

Russia, obviously, sees Britain as a key, global player. The EU have not been invited to the talks.

We're not sending tanks.

We've sent 2,000 anti-tank weapons and 30 elite troops.

The Americans have also sent military equipment to Ukraine.

"They need us more than we need them". Oh.

https://www.cityam.com/uk-exports-to-eu-could-drop-by-another-8-per-cent-as-finland-luxembourg-portugal-and-greece-benefit-from-brexit/

Other countries that benefited from the vacuum left by the UK after Brexit included Ireland, Croatia, Greece, Lithuania, and Cyprus. The highest proportional increases occur in locations where trade was smaller to begin with, the firm found.

For example, in Finland, exports of aircraft, spacecraft and parts thereof beat estimates by 11,715.28 per cent, at €102.71m instead of its predicted €0.87m.

Meanwhile, Luxembourg’s actual figures for exports show an increase of 2017.99 per cent above estimates, at €16.38m instead of €0.77m.

American banks increasing workforce in the EU. London being overlooked.

Other than the euro doesn’t seem a lot different to not being in the EU. At least in the EU they will want to trade with us rather than keeping trade they would have given to the U.K. for themselves. Even then it could be to late as all the trade they would have done with the U.K. is now done with each other, why would they want that to change ?

The brexiters took back control and ****ed it up completely within two years. Let the EU parliament run us as it couldn't do a worse job. 😉

Most recent country to join the EU is Croatia and their currency is the Croation Kuna.

It's not a definite that to join the EU you must adopt the Euro, 19 of the current EU members are in the Eurozone, the rest have kept their currency.

Just ignore the bloke. Doubt he knows left from right or is it port an starboard without reference to some RWNJ site. There is very little he says which is true without huge caveats.

Well I’ll take it as a measure of progress that Swindon is admitting that we could rejoin the EU.

You don't actually think, which is why you post such absolute tripe - well, to be more precise it is one of the reasons why you  post absolute tripe.
