    I really like Bowen, but can't see us spending this sort of money on him when we're so well stocked in the forward areas. But I think he's a really good young player.

    I sort of agree with this, but would like to see him get the chance he deserves. I think we're still potentially in the market for another CB, if the rumours of Hanley out on loan were true.

    Given Hanley's loan move to Blackburn supposedly fell through, I wonder if we are also looking at another CB who can challenge for a starting spot. Wouldn't surprise me if we were.

    I too think we have a chance at Anfield of a result, though I'm sure they'll have their big guns on the bench should they be required.

    I agree with Lakey. The cost of the loan is unlikely to have any bearing on whether he plays - we've simply strengthened in that position. Farke demonstrated with Oliveira and Rhodes - both expensive assets last season - that their relative cost didn't correlate to playing time. That said, I suspect Fährmann may well start ahead of Krul, but simply because he's probably the better keeper from what I've seen of both. Either way, this should keep Tim on his toes - which should definitely help with his shot-stopping!

    Provided the Schalke goalie is definite, I think we are only looking at a couple of positions, with CDM the priority. I'm guessing the situation is still fluid, given we need to find solutions to players such as Oliveira and Marshall, both of whom affect the budget.

    That's terrific news. Hope he takes the opportunity to play in the Prem this season - he's certainly built for man footy!

    Given that we'd already crossed the Rubicon with Leo Vegas, presumably this was simply a financial decision to sell to the highest bidder.

And they rate Vrancic our most valuable midfielder (£6.5m), followed by Buendia (£6m), then Stiepermann and Hernandez at £5m. Interestingly, Pukki's starting value is £6.5m - more than I thought he would be, so they agree with us that he's likely to get a few!

    I just enjoyed the interview for what it was - an almost celebratory reflection on a fantastic season. Any questions on transfer targets or which players might be leaving wouldn't have been answered, as he rightly plays his cards close to his chest.
