  1. Oh yes, because he was a big help for their second goal. He did ok, but it is depressing that after a bad game like this, and with a bad mistake as well, we still think he should be in the team for Saturday. Sorry for this depressing reply, but today I am just not happy.
  2. So, with Arsenal failing to deliver at the Olympic stadium in Munich last night, Norwich remain the only British team to win there. When we are all worrying about the league position, this gave me some inspiration and positive feelings! With the Ipswich result, and the West Brom v Southampton score, a good night all round.
  3. Agreed, close the door behind you. Expect Delaneys to issue a profits warning early September though!
  4. Perhaps we should also have a board solely dedicated to the correct use of grammar and spelling?
  5. City Angel & DD, totally agree that Royle has not wasted time. Unsworth was great business, and it does anger me that they seem to be able to do deals quickly and efficiently without a lot of fuss. Unsworth would have been good business for us, dont know if we were sniffing around or not, but clearly the old Everton connections paid dividiends for Royle when looking at him. Anyway, we persevere, onwards and upwards, never mind the danger!!
  6. Thought he was being lined up to go back there on loan. Read some sort of drivel in the paper over the weekend about how "he could not really go to norwich considering his Ipswich past" , etc, etc. Some sort of old gumph he had been told to say by his agent no doubt, so he could line his pockets with a move back there on loan. They belong together. He has done nothing this season, and I am glad we did not get him here.  And his haircut is done by the same bloke who gets stuck into Docherty, which aint good.
  7. Absolutely spot on. Personally, I feel a lot of the "eight gamers" who renewed at the start of the season are amongst the most fickle, and seemingly unable to remember the dark dark days of Hamilton era. The "Premier League" fans probably wont be around next year anyway. As much as it pains me to say it, they will probably try and get a ticket "down the road" to satisfy their murdoch inspired cravings for premiership football.
  8. Cant say I saw any of this either. Richardson was asking for a reaction by "celebrating" in the way that he did. Not that it is right to throw things at a player of course, but he made a point of running away from his new colleagues to the snake pit, and incited the crowd. He should be reported for this in my view. Also, anybody else on here see Geoff Horsefield warming up, blowing kisses at home fans, mouthing off at them, etc? If people do this in good nature, then fine, but good natured this was not.
  9. We did not play a good team on Saturday, just a team who played better than ourselves on the day. We just had the rub of the green for a change. They are no better than ourselves, that is why they are bottom of the league. Their defence is a shambles, over paid flamboyant players up front, and a manager using past glories to help him succeed in any job he fancies.
  10. Good speech Flick Fleck. Personally, I am still positive, confident, and loving the pressure. Fantastic. Do I care if we go down? Well of course I will be disappointed, but I will still be there next year, rain or shine.
  11. Thorpe Wing does not automatically mean snake pit, but with restricted view, I would think that it will be snake pit. Have a great day chap, will be agreat atmosphere, and that will be where most of it is created and expressed, so you have got a great seat. Just make sure you get to the bar early at half time, or else you wont get served. PS Can recommend the hot dogs. Enjoy.
  12. I''d be nervous if we were playing a good team. Face it feller, it is all over for you boys, and I for one am looking forward to seeing Bryan Robson''s face on TV in the post match interviews.
  13. Your dad is spot on my friend. Have never liked Everton, or indeed Coventry a great deal since. Total injustice, and if it happened today, radio phone-ins, 606, etc would be swamped with callers. Disgusting.
  14. Well clearly you did not pay attention at school either, judging by the poor use of english in your thread title. I have to agree though, as some cannot differentiate their prose from their toes.
  15. Popped down there myself yesterday. Picked up a John Wark facial hair trimmer and an Eric Gates beauty kit.
  16. Just heard this one at lunchtime. All good as far as I am concerned, and another piece of shrewd business by the club. People soon forget that Ashton is the club''s record signing, and it took the club a long while to beat the Jon Newsome transfer record, so be realistic people. Stuart should be a good addition to the squad, and if he stays, will probably fill Francis''s shoes if he clears off in the summertime.
  17. At Villa park, Birmingham, from 3 pm onwards on Saturday 15th January. Sit back and enjoy
  18. That is not Sutton''s car, well not Chris Suttons anyway, it belongs to another Sutton I believe.
  19. Why would he go there to be behind Kanoute, Keane and Defoe? Unless of course any of these are on their way? God I hate this waiting, just announce he has signed so we can get on with life again!!!
