1. Hopefully we''ve got most of the bad pens out our system already.
2. Great Win! So important, can put the Newcastle game fully behind us now.
3. Irrelevant, but Villa concede in the dying minutes again!
4. The whole throw in incident was completely bizarre. Neither player was ever going to back down, even though the ref tried to get involved.
5. A goal is a goal, but that is one of the jammiest finishes I have seen for a while! I think we''ve played some lovely stuff so far against a strong Everton xi.
6. McGovern Pinto Bennett Klose Olsson Tettey Howson Ja.Murphy Hoolahan Brady Oliveira Subs: Jones Martin Mulumbu Jerome Pritchard Canos Naismith Get Pritchard on at 60 to give him a proper first team run-out, need to get him fully sharp asap. Canos and Jerome on if we''re chasing, Jerome and Mulumbu on if we need to see something out. 2-1
7. We didn''t get our main targets in the window, but we still clearly need another striker. With who is available on a free, I''d say Chamakh is one of the better ones. We''d surely all rather have him than no one? Interestingly enough, it looks like another free option Lord Bendtner is set to sign for Forest. I''m of the opinion that he is a better player than Chamakh and with some years on his side. However, Chamakh doesn''t have the numerous repeated incidents of ''Being a dick'' that Bendtner has.
8. While this is obviously not the striker any of us were hoping we were going to sign this window, this is probably one of the best options available now the window is shut.
9. Some lad from La Liga according to Paddy Davitt
10. Haven''t seen anything from a reputable source on this. Would be surprised if he went anywhere.
11. i think he would have been a good loan signing for us, 3 strikers is certainly better than 2.
12.
As an almost positive, if we''ve let him go on loan, presumably we weren''t gonna play him anyway so technically its had little effect? :)
This is true, and a slightly brighter way to look at it. The downside to looking at it that way is the depressing idea that we had no intention of playing him, no matter how well he performed in cup games and no matter how poor his competition performed.
13. I don''t think our squad from before the window is significantly different in quality to the squad after. However, when you compare Canos/Pritchard vs Redmond and Oliveira vs Mbokani, there is an argument that it is potentially slightly weaker. That said, keeping Klose and Brady is obviously a significant development and has ensured that we haven''t moved backwards significantly. I think I''m feeling a bit down because Villa and Newcastle have significantly strengthened and we have failed to keep up. It was always going to be difficult as both of these clubs have money to burn, but I feel there really was the opportunity of us this window to do more than we have done to stay competitive. No matter how disappointing the window has been to us, we still do have quality in the team and I believe we can still get promoted with this squad. Despite this, it is vital we get a good run of wins ASAP as i fear the fans are on the verge on turning.
14. I really hate football sometimes. Thought this guy would be a big part of revamping the squad with promising young blood this season. Watching Eddie Howe''s smug face unveil Wilshere has really made this day even more aggravating.
15. Cracking piece of business to get this lad on a four year deal
16. Scoring 91 Championship goals in 4 years is a pretty good start
