The win is great but bunny how can you critisize Mulryan he was brilliant in the heart of midfield. I believe that we miss the type of playmaker player and he played a large part in helping us win the game.

Why is it that many Norwich fans seem to be so negative? We win a game and people want us to be playing like Arsenal AND winning the game. Can''t we just be happy that we''re won the game? If we win in the league that''s 3 points and a win in the cup brings more money in. If we''re playing badly and still winning then be gratefull that we are winning. I''m just fed up with people critising Norwich when we win. I know I said this on an earlier post but I feel I have to say it again. It''s not going to give the team any confidence if we are critising them and getting on their backs. We have played 7 games and in those 7 games we have played, Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool and Aston Villa. All of these teams except Villa are playing in Europe this year and are expected to do so next year and Villa are going to be up there again. Going by who we have played we have done really well to get four points. So please stop being so negative and give the team some support.

The diamond is no excuse for lazyness. He could of got the ball 2 or 3 times on tuesday night but didn''t bother. I agree that the diamond isn''t a very good system but players should always give thier all no matter where they are asked to play and in whatever formation.

Now that Malky has gone/is going, we only have two central defenders at the club, shackell and flem. Charlton is a left back, although he is doing fairly well in the middle, but if we get any injuries between now and january we''re going to be playing players out of their natural positions which will put strains on other parts of the team. Although Malky wasn''t likely to get a first team place this season I think we should have kept him at least untill january, as cover.

Hey, would it be possible to talk about something football related instead of slating other posters. I do recall that this forum is called ''Norwich City - matches / tactics / players/ rivals / gossip'' which suggests to me that we talk about football, not what people choose to have as there signature!

I''m lucky, my dad works a County Hall, so we get to park there for free. Although it does take forever to get out. If we''ve won it''s worth it just to see us win but if we''ve lost it seems to take forever to get out.

You have to remmeber though that they are all playing in lower divisions they may not have cut it in the prem although now we will never know.

I can see what your saying but wouldn''t you rather be outside the relegation zone at christmas than having to buy players in the january just to stay up?

Ofcourse he not going to say who he wants to win because he would up set either the Norwich fans or the Arsenal fans. He obviously wants to go back to Arsenal at the end of the season and although he is loanded out to us he is still technically and Arsenal player so maybe that was what he was referring to when he said "we". He is a good player and we are going to benifit from that. Everbody makes mistakes and we should give him the benifit of the doubt.

I agree with the Francis/Holt pairing to play palace but when we come up against the teams that have been in the Prem for a few years then I think that we would be better off play Mullers purely because his game is more suited to the Prem. We need a play maker in the team now that we''re in the Prem and Mullers is the only one at the club. Although before I get shouted down Bentley could be classed as a play makers but I''d play hime out on the left and not down the middle.

What I don''t understand is that everyone is saying that if you have a bit of money you''ll get out of that division. We ddin''t spend loads of money and we got out. We just had quality players, a quality manger, a good board and backroom staff, good team spirit, of and exceleent fans who don''t get on the players back after losing 1 game.

Charlton is far better than Malky and I think that it will be Flemming and Charlton to start the season next week.

NC it may not be the game we hoped for but it will probably start us off on the winning road rather than a losing one if we were playing arsenal etc.

MG7 I like the formation and I think the players in it are the best the we have at the club, but I would swap Bentley and Huckerby. Bentley is more of a winger than Huckerby. This formation allows us to play our best players and if necessesary you could chnage this formation to 4-4-2 when defending, with Bentley on the left Jonson on the right and Hucks going up fromnt along side Sven.

I''d say Holt. Worthy didn''t drop Holt at all last season but he did drop Francis and many people believe that Francis is the better midfielder which suggests to me that Worthy will play Holt unless forced to do therwise.

Apparently he hasn''t had enough rest after Euro 2004 yet.

It finished 0-0 and by the sounds of things that was a fair result.

To be honest I''m not really bothered what the Baggies do. If they want to spend all there money on unproven players thats fine with me. Its one less relegation place to fill and when they get relegated Megson will realise how stupid he has been.

Kamara has warned the Celtic fans that he is not going to be the new larson. Which could mean that Sutton is going to off loaded as well although I personally cant see it.

They''ll probably start Arsenals first game on august the 14th, its just mind games.

As I''ve said before I think McKenzie will prove a few people wrong next season. He coped with the jump from div 2 to div 1 so there is no reason why he can''t do the same from div 1 to the prem if he gets given the oppertunity. Worthy has to give him a go and if Leon proves that he can do it then he has to stick with him.

Could we not play the same way as we did last season. Green Edworthy/Fleming, Mackay, Helveg, Charlton/ Drury Bentley/ Safri, Holt, Francis, Mulryne/ Huckerby McKenzie/Svensson I would play Flem and Helveg at the back and Holt and Mulryne/Francis in the middle. It worked last season with Huckerby down the left we may as well give it a go.
