1.
Huckerby is getting slower each game, he is a one trick pony that everyone has sussed out.  This was shown by his sending off against Ipswich because most of his runs were fruitless and he took his frustration out on the ipswich player
They normally suss him out be putting two men on him for most of the same, so if he is a one trick poney it''s a damn fine trick. I guess there defence wouldn''t have dared pushing up to get Cureton offside if there was the threat of Huckerby on the left.
 2.
This is a reply to McD''s Perm, but I keep getting "non-matching quote blocks" - Mods why is this?
Try taking any punctuation marks out of the user you are quoting: (quote user="remove punctuation marks here")
 3.
Not wanting to hop in bed with a scummer or anything... but this is exactly why the rest of the country are laughing at our shambles of a football club and it''s daft fans at the moment!!!
No - this is why Premiership clubs look in envy at the support and atmosphere at Carrow Road while their grounds are only 3/4s full. It is also the reason we can attract any decent player or manager while still bottom of the league.
 4.
Do you think the atmosphere was helped by everyone standing?
Completely! It always seems slighly ridiculous singing an chanting..while sat down.
 5. Worrying times...in a few years when we are all forced to carry ID cards there will be more and more "papers please" under any pretext. http://www.no2id.net/ Is swearing in public an offence now? Most uncouth of you though Jas! Did you give your name as "the Barclay King" to the officer? Re the Ipswich fans in the home stands - they should have known better, but that is no excuse to try and attack them.
 6.
suddenly all is well because we get 1 point from a game against a bunch of teenagers.....I somehow feel a Chelsea moment coming on.....
You''re right..we should have got 3 points today. I actually felt at the end like we lost 2 points, there was a 10/15 minute spell in the second half when Ipswich were broken and hoofing it out of play was their only option. A win would have been perfect given the sit-yoo-ashon. Good job Ipswich put out a young / weakened team in these unimportant matches  [:^)]
 7.
Cureton was suffering from cramp so needed to come off. It was either Smith,Murray or Gilks....i think he got it right. [;)]
That would explain it better. I thought we looked as though we could have gone on to win if we had kept the same team out there. Where did you get your info re the cramp from? When Smith came on did Huckerby move up front? We didn''t seem to create much in the last 10 minutes. Hartson is a great player to hold up and provide flicks, but up front on his own is not going to produce anything.
 8. Two decent players challenging for the same position is exactly what we want in all areas of the pitch. I always think there is a bit of excitement when Croft is on the pitch. With his pace he goes past many players with ease. Just needs to get an early ball in - there was an example of this today when I think it was Cureton had moved to the near post and Croft cut back before crossing. Chadwick looked a different player today. Where was he playing in the second half, because he appeared on the left of central midfield a couple of times bursting into the box.
 9. Have to agree that I didn''t really notice Brellier today. Maybe it''s because it is hard to pick him out from the central defenders, but Russell and Chadwick seemed to be everywhere. Dublin had a few really bad touches, but he still got a few decent attempts at goal so wouldn''t say he had a shocker. The Ipswich front two in fairness looked class. They obviously have a good understanding - something that surely comes from having a consistent team. They also played it on the floor. Our central defence I''m sure would have been happier dealing with crosses with their height - and this will be fine for most matches as most Championship teams play this way. Even though they did get a goal from playing this way I felt overall Ipswich''s style of play was in our favour today as other teams could really have exploited our left. With Huckerby sometimes AWOL and Lappin a stand in left back a team with a decent winger could have had lots of time and space to get plenty of crosses in. To get anything out of the game from 2-0 down at half time was amazing...but I couldn''t help feeling disappointed we didn''t go on and win. They were there for the taking...and for a good 10 minute spell could do nothing but hoof it away from our constant attacks. The Smith substitution was a strange one IMO, it seemed like we were happy to settle for the draw when we could have had 3 points. Still with the Ipswich counter near the end when they almost scored, maybe this was for the best.
 10.
Hartson made a real difference when he came on.
Your mom''s so fat...[:)] Chadwick for me - finally an attacking midfielder. Thought Ostemobor looked good today too.
 11. I''d far rather the money went to the players and team management than faceless investors behind the scenes. It has to go somewhere. OAP / unemployed / U21s subsidies would be nice though to keep the crowd reflective of society. The reason footballers get so much stick is their wages are published week in week out in the press, and that season ticket holders feel they have should have a say if they pay 100s and turn up ever week to watch them. A concert is normally a one off so fans don''t mind the price as much.
 12. First priority must be a left back - with Drury out for a couple of months we have none.. Bristol strated ripping us to shreds down that side when Drury went off injured. After that central midfield - although with Smith back, and Fotheringham back soon maybe things will improve there. Finally a centre forward with pace - we need this as an option against teams with slow back 4s. Riordan?
 13. I hear you''re a racist now Wizard! It''s not the Scots it''s the Catholics he''s after! Any indication of Roeder''s religion? Did a non-papal follower slip through Delia''s net? Any even more mysteriously why does the wizard need to put stops after exclamation marks?!. Very strange!. [:D]
 14.
[ Im see where you are coming from Jas but for me thats it. Im not attending another game untill this board has left the club.
I thought you wouldn''t miss the derby match? Do you have a spare ticket going and are you open to offers?
 15.
Didn''t know Allen had managed Luton, think you must mean Newell.
Quite right.....Jewell...Newell...Allen.... It was a few pints...
 16. I was speaking with a Luton supporter last night about the merits of Allen..he was not highly recommended.. - much of Luton''s progress was the work of Joe Kinnear the season before Allen was appointed - Allen was voted..by one vote in as manager by a Internet poll (perish the thought..) - can anyone verify this?
 17.
She would be leaving us in our lowest league position for nigh on 50 years. She would leave us facing relegation to the old Div 3 for only the second time since we moved to FCR. She would leave us Managerless. She would leave us with one corner of the ground effectively hockedoff (well for 147 more years anyway). She would leave us £20,000,000 (and the rest I suspect) in debt. She would leave the once magnificent fanbase divided and bickering with each other. She would leave us with a squad worth just a quarter of that which she inherited. She will have been responsible for the two worst extended periods of football I''ve witnessed us play in over 40 years (Three worst if you throw in Worthys swansong period but Hamilton and Grant  does it for me). She would be leaving  with most if not all of her Investment possibly even a small profit. Am I wrong? Some legacy...
We "face" relegation every season..if Delia left now the chances of us being relegated in the following 5 months is nil. Lets see where we are at the end of the season. We are interviewing managers, it''s not like the board have decided to not have a manager anymore is it... Noticed the brand new stand at Carrow Road? The corner infills? I thought the debt was less than 20 million. What do you mean "and the rest"? Well one sided posts like yours don''t really help with healing rifts between fans do they? I''m just trying to balance out some of your subjectiveness. Proof the squad is worth a quarter of what it was? I don''t remember buying million pound keepers, or 3 million pound strikers in the past. Investing millions and getting no return is not great for your finances..
 18.
It seems to me our Board have two decisions to make. 1). Invest money in the hope it will secure the avoidance of relegation, but risk the financial future of the Club with relegation. 2). Baton down the hatches, take the flak, accept and budget for relegation to protect the financial future of the Club and hope for a miracle.
Well it''s far better it''s happening now than with 13 games of the season left. We still have plenty of time to turn things around, and there''s always the possibilty of a club being docked 10 points for administration (hopefully not us..). Option 1 - if it is really investment then it won''t risk the future of the club, just the money of the investor. Risking the club would be if the board succombed to pressure and took out more loans to get new players in. Option 2 - we are managerless at the moment, but a new manager, 2-3 loan signings, and a couple of wins and the need for a miracle seems less likely.
 19. A good point that he could well be off if he gets the results, but right now we need some points! If we do tie him up with a 3 year deal, and get compensation, then is it not a good investment, much like Ashton? Also if he moves us up the league then the job may attract a higher calibre of manager next summer. Lets face it this and next season are not going to see us promoted.
 20.
Safri will now serve a two match suspension, go to the African Cup of Nations in January, with warm-up friendlies in December, and miss vital games through fasting come Ramadan. If Peter Grant did one thing right during his tenure here, it was off-loading Safri.
Ramadam finished two weeks ago, and I''m glad our midfield is a hotbed of competition...
 21.
utter rubbish!! for the next 70 mins they dominated without getting out of second gear! we may have had a good first 20 mins but what about the rest of the game? you are obviously another one who thinks all is rosy at the club arent you?
I said we played the best football of the match in the first twenty minutes. For the whole of the second half we were second best, but largely due to a lack of confidence from our players rather than the quality of the opposition.
 22.
No we bloody dont-look at the mess he left Hull in. Fair play he had a good season when Colchester went up, but from what i gather Williams is the man the credit should be given to. Why has no  effort been made for Gary Johnson of Bristol City? Good record, limited funds, poachable? Please dont appoint Parkinson though for christs sake!
Bristol City manager? Sorry they looked dire against us, even if they did win 3-1. The football we played in the first 20 minutes was easily the best of the match.
 23. I''m glad that Norwich''s economic development plan is reliant on 11 players kicking a ball around...How about some investment in some goals with nets in parks, or trying to keep the last remaining tennis courts open, or finding out why the only cultural product of recent note has been a fictional comedy character? MPs should concentrate on their own jobs. Strange that only the former MP backs the out of favour board, where as those that need votes jump on the bandwagon. If the club is so important why not put local taxes towards paying extortionate wages and transfer fees? Probably not too popular that idea, whereas a slagging off of the board at a time of crisis in the press is free publicity. I''d suggest NCFC start using its high profile players to point out the failings in local government the next time an election is due.
 24.
He''s a lawyer, in a fair and democratic society everyone is entitled to a defense in court, therefore who he has defended shouldn''t be an issue as he''s just doing his job - and in a fair, democratic and civilised society, thats the way it should be.
Mmmmm we''re starting to sound like Man City fans..
 25.
Whilst I hate to drag in religon here, I will. Grant, Duffy, Worthy, Hamiliton all Catholic I believe. Delia is a devot Catholic, ergo!. Anyone know about Mr Staunton?.[:|]
Italian World Cup winning team? I thought we got over religious bigotry not too long after Guy Fawkes..
