The Cantwell thread
Worthy Nigelton replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Yes he was. First half he was excellent... second half he dropped off a bit. -

Get your point but generally you expect to lose those eight games and not be particularly disappointed if you do. I dont put Leicester in that bracket. -

No reason why we can't win this one. There are only eight games a season you can write off and this isn't one of them. -
Buendia or Rashica, Sargent and Tzolis?
Worthy Nigelton replied to Thirsty Lizard's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
C. Too early to tell by a mile. -
Emi Buendia - Transfer details
Worthy Nigelton replied to Bovril's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Good point. Ultimately, only two mid table teams wanted him. -
I know people are jumping off the deep end with how we're doomed again but I wanted to point out that in each of Farke's four seasons we've had a slightly ropey start. Two of those we went on to win the league! Season one we won one in the first five. Season two, the same, one win in five. Season three, two wins in five. Season four, two wins in five. Give the players and manager time and judge the season in April/May. Nothing is won or lost in August. Long way to go.

Fine to say he's been poor today etc. Premature to declare him as past it. -

This, but replace 'country' with 'world'. -
Pep is the best manager in the world. He wasn't a bad player.

Man City v Norwich predictions

3-0. I cant see us scoring. I just hope we dont get smashed by 6 or 7. -
Spurs vs Man City- SKIPP starts
Worthy Nigelton replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Skipp did okay after an extraordinarily poor opening 5 mins where he got robbed in his own half and nearly gave away two pens! He'll get better for Spurs as the season goes on and will be a top 8 player most of his career I think. Grealish was very average. -
maybe *MAYBE* it’s time up for Teemu
Worthy Nigelton replied to The Real Buh's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Dont agree. He was up against one of the best teams out there after having covid a couple of weeks ago. 26 goals last year. People forget very quickly. -
Brentford and Watford were playing teams that are beatable though. We were playing Liverpool who had finished last season in amazing form and with the best centre half in the world back in the team. Perspective needed here - we wont stay up or go down based on Liverpool, Citeh, Man Yoo or Chelski results. If any of those teams turn up they probably beat every other team in the world. And Liverpool turned up yesterday.
-
Not yesterday as Liverpool are one of only four teams that can win the league and ultimately if they're playing well (as they were yesterday) it doesnt matter who we put in the starting line up, but he may make a difference against the other 15 teams in the league.

Things we are likely to see this season

A stonewall handball penalty for us against a top 6 team that doesnt get given or referred to VAR. -
Closing the door after the horse has bolted
Worthy Nigelton replied to canarydan23's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It is frustrating for sure. That is why he doesnt do it too hastily though. -
Closing the door after the horse has bolted
Worthy Nigelton replied to canarydan23's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Farke's entire philosophy is that he trusts his players. If he starts subbing people every time we go down then that means nothing. Although sometimes it is frustrating, I do agree. -
Giannoulis 👋

Stop reading after the first bit about Aarons -
Agreed 100%.

I'd argue the forum is set up to discuss Norwich City with strangers though? It's not set up to swear at people you disagree with. And that is how I would frame it if I was discussing Kenny's abilities with anyone. I have a mate who has said virtually the exact same thing about Hanley to me, I really rate Hanley, but in no way would I react like that to him or anyone else because of a difference of opinion on a sportsperson. It's weird.
-
It's okay then?
-
It's ridiculous. Nobody would act that way in real life. People should be allowed opinions without being sworn at.
