  1. Yeah. LYB's point makes no sense to me whatsoever. You can't have faith in not having faith.
  2. This is the issue though Hog, he's 23 and doesn't want to sit on the bench waiting for his 15 minute cameo and he's not good enough to start for a team with promotion ambitions like us. Basically, he doesn't fit here and needs to move on IMO.
  3. I absolutely want him to stay and hope that he does. A good bloke and a good manager.
  4. I don't know if you're being contrarian or whether you fully support Israel regardless. Which is it?
  5. These two regimes are dreadful. The world is in a very dangerous phase and more right-wing populism won't help... but I fear that's where we're heading.
  6. He was ace. Problem is the team is fairly settled but it's great to have him back. Quality player.
  7. Ordinarily I'd agree but their form generally is dire. Their recent results have not all been 'one of those games'. They're clearly bottling it.
  8. They beat Brum 2-1 last week?
  9. None of them are any good. Idah isn't either.
  10. 89/90 was the first one I owned and then 92/93. 89/90 I was far too young to understand but remember Rosario scoring a corker against Saints... and 92/93 I loved but probably didn't understand the magnitude of what we were doing. Great days never to be seen again unfortunately... for us and 97% of teams out there. Football is dead.
  11. I'm glad someone made this thread because I thought he was awful and gave them literally everything. The only reason I'm not moaning about it is because we won, but he bottled loads of decisions. Morsy didn't pick up a yellow despite making about 6 challenges that should have been bookings, Tuanzebe should have gone, Morsy wiped Sargent out as he's about to shoot and no foul, plus loads of others that went their way which were completely wrong as well. Poor, poor, poor.
  12. They'd **** themselves if they have to face us in the play offs. We'd beat them again.
  13. Err... I thought we were already ahead of them? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Anglian_derby
  14. We also should have beat Leeds after being 2-0 up and were more than a match for them when losing 1-0 at Elland Road. The only team that's beaten us well both times is Leicester.
  15. Angus Gunn as number one is a really odd pick, but the rest is fine.
  16. Many parallels with Lambert - took a team that were far too big for the league they were in and got them promoted (which was the easy bit), then kept the momentum up and could do a back-to-back promotions with a team full of journeymen with one or two players of quality sprinkled in. The football is similar as well, massive focus on attack, a very fit team, last minute goals/never say die attitude and they're running through brick walls for him. If McKenna gets them up it will be harder to do what Lambert did and keep them there purely because the gap is so huge now. His big test will come when he takes his next job or if he has to re-boot them after a Premier League relegation. He's still very early into his managerial career and he has proved nothing of note... yet. But he's not really put a foot wrong either in fairness.
  17. Klose header was arguably mu favourite derby moment of all time. I went nuts.
  18. McKenna has been quiet in the lead up to this one as I think he messed it up for them at Portman Road by making it bigger than it needed to be. So he's keeping it low-key and that is a much better tactic from their POV. That being said, we are very good at home and they aren't good defensively, so there will be goals for both teams. This is a tough one to call but I think another Desmond is very possible.
  19. Good points and it is a complex question I agree. I guess the point is we wouldn't want Gary Glitter on the radio nowadays, why is MJ different? Is it coz he's dead?
  20. As art yes I agree - his songs aren't suddenly crap coz he's a wrong un. It's a question of morally whether they should be sold anymore, profits should be made from them and a sexual abuser should be promoted/celebrated. Personally, I don't think they should be played anymore (as much as I think he was a great artist).
  21. I can't believe I had to put that.
