  1. Best ref performance all year, showed how Play-on should work , better than the carp the Howard Webb comes up with , It was great to have a game where we arent talking about the officials afterwards One comment though "My only criticism is that there were a couple of occassions when he allowed play on when he should have gone back and booked they player" He did this at least 2 times and possibly a 3rd and i the 2 cases I remember quite sometime after the play had stopped. The snoddy one I agree but as it was possibly the only time I thought he was wrong ill live with that. Always strikes me as a decent ref but I guess when you look like Jasper Carrott you have to get it right or get serious abuse.
  2. There you go...Razz was there and looks what happens !
  3. If the club has reduced itself to this hysteria for this match... I dread to think what it''ll do for the Villa and WBA games if we still need the points?!? Be good to see Razz the Clown back though !
  4. Eh ! cant the rest of the FCR join in, why do people think the only noise comes from Lower Barcley and Snakepit... At least Micky Turner smiles at the rest of us ;-) As for Day Dream, Villa support would probably join in too. Maybe The Green Grass would be a better choice !
  5. Well done Hogesar, anyone who hasnt read this before, take a look...classic gold. Think through all of that my favourite comment was Belmarsh or Scrubs.
  6. Hopefully Holty will make another statement on the pitch Saturday.
  7. Thank you Purple, better explained than my effort, if anyone could find that link got to be worth sharing again.
  8. Non-refundable means they have already spent it most likely.
  9. Great...all we need is a few more bent officials and bye bye Winkie
  10. Almost as funny, if anyone can remember, the Millwall fan on their hof message board having a rant because the girl at the ticket office told him he couldnt buy a ticket for his seat for the next match as it was already sold. It was a season ticket and didnt need it, reading the 30 or so pages of replys and people trying to explain had tears rolling down my face. Not the sharpest knives some of them are they ?
  11. Impaired in Lower N&P ? Can only think of Goalposts!
  12. Hogesar...Looks like the FA disagree with you, Webb downgraded to Colchester match. Never sure why everyone thinks Webb is so good, I admit probably the best of a load of carp but hate his Play-Ons when there is no clear advantage Lets not forget his World Cup Final (or Euros) where the Bruce Lee Flying Kick went pretty much unpunished & Dont get me started on a brillant 1-2 at Wigan. Dont care what anyone says that was a drop ball situation, completly changed the direction of the ball catching Wes on the hop and we know what happened next
  13. Whoever and whatever the other teams are doing ...its a must must win this weekend for us !! If the players arent up for it after last weekend then we deserve to go down. All Chrissy H has to do is show them a picture of the 2/3 officials from Saturday wearing their Sombreros with bandit belts on.
  14. I was wondering this Budapest, little concerned that choppers hasnt been on this thread since. I think if I was in with the Arsenal Fans on Saturday I wouldnt have got out alive in those final few minutes let alone when we scored. Chopper are you there ?
  15. Zamora in the box...He was pratically holding hands! West Ham... Joke of a Pen Both Twattenberk ! Man City agree, Kompany was sent off a couple of weeks later for the same tackle i think Villa Play on is a good example of why it is such a carp ruling. If it is a foul with contact, blow. A player knocked off his stride rairly has an advantage. Webb is the worst at doing this and it is too open to a pratts interpatation. Barton Headbutt, the fact he tried pick a fight with the 2-3 tackles in the 10 seconds before was enough for 2 yellows and anyway, you cant poke your head forward like that. (For those of us there, we had a better angle than the TV cameras and it wasnt clever)
  16. Think part of the problem is , its difficult for a Ref to overrule (he should do but...) when a lino indicates a flag across the chest for a Pen. Cant remember was the the action of the lino ? Far better a Lino just waves his flag to draw attention and offer an opinion so the Ref can then make a judgement call offer an opinion.
  17. Because football doesn''t have natural pauses. Eh ! The idea is good and not difficult to impliment, If you only allowed challenged for an offside or foul that resulted in a goal and a pen (before it was taken) thats seems a natural break to me.
  18. Yep, starting the 2nd half last week and continued today. Almost as if the shackles have been released and playing his game now
  19. For Chrissy H that is pretty strong comments about an officials performance. Sums it it up pretty well. Gutted, cheated and Narked off ! Great performance today only to be cheated.
  20. When was Holtys contract due to expire before throwing his toys out of the pram last summer ? Would he have left on a free the summer?
  21. Okay, fair enough Yellow Wall, just to clarify, can one whole foot be 6 inches over the line and the other touching the line ? If so bit surprised that Stoke dont try and gain and whole step inside
  22. True Webbo, think thats been a problem for us all season, Holt and snoddy seem to be in the book before the games starts. However for once Oliver didnt cause my Blood Pressure to rise to dangerous proportions,
  23. Im not a Micheal Oliver fan but I thought he didnt have his usual poor game on Saturday. However, has the law changed on foul throws does anyone know. Can you have 1 foot behind the line ? At least 4-5 times swansea had a foot over the line during a throw in (williams I think mainly) and that was in the 1st half when I could see. As for Holts first tackle, If MO hadnt been a little unsighted by a swansea player that would have been a straight Red , with or without history !
  24. Eh ! make you mind up Lambert makes comments from touchline and giving "advice" But Hughton doing the same is not. None of us know what is done on the training pitch and if something that has been worked on isnt being carried out then give them a rollacking. If they have a game plan (please dont start , that the game plan is boring etc etc) then he probably would like them to stick to it. Very often I see Hughton urging the team forward but that doesnt seem to get mentioned much. As for Bassong and Garido, all defenses have little spats during a game, they are at the sharp end where a mistake costs and Garido did keep dropping others in the doodoo on Saturday. Forget Lambert, he showed what he thought of our players by clearing off, didnt think he was on the training pitch much either and dont think he was the "mr nice encouraging guy" you try to make him sound !
