  1. ABC Very good post far too sensible post for this messageboard !
  2. Andy Who is to say we didnt do everything, we all knew that Lambert was going at the Last game and still believe the Last game speech had a touch of "come and get me im available". Im pretty sure PL got pretty much everything he asked for but it has to reach a point where he cant push any further.
  3. To be fair Andy, who says we didnt. You can only offer so much and if it still isnt enough there isnt much more you can do. In our hearts we knew he was off on the last day of the season, and I think we all knew to villa, its been banded around enough and his last day speech was as much to the Villa board as us Fans. Lambo hasn''t won many friends with the way he has handled it, and ex-players in the media have been very critical, you dont need to make to many enemies before they start on his back. If Villa do get away with paying no compo or fine then something is very wrong. McN said he wants Cully and Karsa to stay, that maybe to get compo, but Chrissy isnt a fool and to keep those guys on board would be a massive boost for the club as well as putting Lambo up a creak without.
  4. LDC I couldnt agree with you more, McN is too shrewd a cookie to let the agent get the upper hand and I can almost imagine the conversation going like you said. If you are in the Lake District keep an eye on GH tweets as you could play Where''s Wally with him as he tweets his location. If you see him try and talk some sense into his head.
  5. I understand that Ruddy, all i''m saying is Grant needs to think before twittering / retwittering. I for one would love him play for us next season (which his agent claims is the preferred choice) It all very well for his agent to blame social media for rumours and abuse but retweeting a Villa hashtag throws more fuel on fire.
  6. Ruddys Ring As I said earlier, if he didnt know what he was doing then someone/somewhere either agent or wife should take his toy away !
  7. How about both ? Hughton as manager with a very able Culverhouse as no.2
  8. What rubbish ! If someone in the Public Eye chooses to use Twitter the have to accept the full implications of what could and will happen. Contract discussions should be behind closed doors and no one should comment until after legal obligations are complete. I would imagine that DM thinks before pushing the tweet button. The #holt4villa was as unfortunate as it was stupid. If he didnt know what he was doing then someone should throw his phone in the River Eden and change the password on his computer. He is under contract to a business (like it or not) and if I slagged off the company I worked for on social media while still under their employment I would be sacked and quite rightly face possible litigation for libel. Social Media has become a loose cannon and for most, part of its appeal is the lack of regulation , but those in the public eye need to be careful what they do and say. Holt has made it clear he doesnt want to stay, we should thank him for what his done and get as much money for a player who has turned his back on all those who have supported him for his time a NCFC. I support Norwich City Football Club, we love the players and manager for what they do to make our support more enjoyable as equally they disappoint when they don''t. If he goes to another PL club then I cant wait for FCR to be chanting "he fell over" everytime he goes to ground. Maybe as a parting gesture he can pay for all of those who have a new shirt with his name on to buy themselves a new one.
  9. Mr B Are you seriously suggesting that he didnt know !! Anyone with any sense wouldnt retweet unless they had read the whole message, least of all anyone in the public eye. It can be deleted off his account but he has chosen not to do this which again suggests he knows what he has done. Personally I feel very let down by a player that the CLUB has given him the chance to be what he is today. He was bought pre-Lambert and all of us who saw him in the 1st few games under Gunn were excited by what we saw, I understand all that is said about not losing him and I am gutted he wants out. However both he and his agent has made his position untenable in the pass few days.
  10. Loved Ian as a player and was gutted when he left and love him as a coach, I would love him to stay with us,if as manager then so be it. We all knew Villa would do it underhand and I still feel that at the Press Conference last week when Lambert flipped , the reporter knew something and Lambert knew he knew which is why he reacted.
  11. You have also missed the year they were Champions and were allowed to play Coventry after the season had finished. Coventry needed a win to stay up and send us down and Everton were already on holiday and didnt even bother. Might have even been the reason all games on the last day are played at the same time.
  12. He has split up from his Wife hasnt he, thought they still were up in Scotland !
  13. I agree, I do wonder if done deal already, it would be nice to also think that as we paid him a wage for nothing in his 1st year there might be a little bit of loyalty....but then again we are talking about a Footballer here.
  14. Great....didnt cover half the pitch as he seemed very unfit...walked everywhere and kept pointing to his head when he stopped the game once the cheats kept going to ground clutching their heads. With the cheats playing for the reds he will be conned left, right and centre this afternoon !
  15. (have to say johnson attempts on saturday were a little laboured) I thought Johnson only seemed to hold back after a stern word from an overall poor Ref. He did also get a whack so I dont know if he was feeling that a bit also
  16. Not forgetting that they scored in the 1st half @ 3.45 minutes of the 3 minutes remaining. We our record we could have gone on to win !
