1. We have lost just 6 of our last 22 PL games. Why do some of you think we are going to lose our last 9 especially as most of those are against teams at the bottom. Those same people saying how magnificent Villa are lol. They have already conceded more goals with 9 games left than they had for the last few seasons. If you really think we are going down follow Wiz''s get rich quick scheme and go and put your money where your mouth is. Most bookies have us at 14/1 to be relegated if you go to Betfair and shop around you can get 20/1. The reason is because the bottom 5 constantly play each other they cant both get 3 points in the same game.
 2. Hi Pete For the more valuable / signed stuff ect you need a local specialist auction therefore attracting local people interested in the club and also attracting a large number of people via the correct publicity. I am sure one of the main local auctioneers would run it cheaper than normal purely for the local publicity. These auctions also go online so if there is more rare stuff or England stuff it will attract proper collectors. If you suddenly swamp ebay with this stuff it will go for next to nothing. The stuff is also very expensive to send and distribute so talking to the right people and possibly sponsors is very important. I know AVIVA read these message boards so come on guys give Pete a hand. Maybe 5 of you could do the crossbar challenge as a sponsored event to raise money for this cause ????? I would say this is a good time of year to buy kit as vastly reduced with new shirt coming soon, however did the club not do something last year of their own back where they send all the kit to a certain company ? not sure if I am correct but this could be why the club not coming back quick.   Hope you find that helpful as not meaning to interfere. Keep up the good work.
 3. Its a Norwich thing that says your main forward who scores all your goals has to be your best defender as well or he is c**p. Not that I disagree that £6m is to much I just fear for whoever the guy is brought in to take us forward as he wont be given a chance because of this strange attitude that a forward is rubbish unless he chases the ball everywhere.
 4. Come on then hands up who feels the silliest lol. Turner rubbish lol, Hughton wont get us a win lol, Swansea are rubbish lol, Reading and QPR are class lol, Reading and Southampton will buy themselves out of trouble lol, Hughton does not know what he is doing signing another goalkeeper and Turner when clearly Ayala is better lol.
 5. Like most I agree 100 % with the op. I suspect however that Hughton will consider Saturdays game as a must not lose game rather than go straight out for a win. Therefore I also suspect that on Saturday following a boring 0 - 0 or a 1 - 0 the usual suspects will be tearing your thread to peices, but hey just dont listen.
 6. Not sure this is anything to do with category 1 status as being a scholar there were no restrictions anyway other than cost. When we start to be able to develop kids from 6 years old then category 1 would have worked.
 7.
Can we include Beckham as a reject??? [:)]
And Jack Wilshire - to small lol
 8. You hit the nail on the head. Are you really telling me there were no boys from Norfolk / Suffolk / Cambridgeshire that we could not have developed into premiership footballers ? Dion Dublin, John Ruddy and Jack Wilshire were in our catchment area. EPP was the way forward but ala Barca and Bayern ie only one academy in England for the best elite kids. Nothing has changed at Norwich and will not untill European coaches take control of the younger kids ( 7 and upwards ) or the next lot of coaches from our kids that are presently 8 and 9 years old begin coaching purely on a development basis and not a win at all costs when you are seven. English coaches ( in the main ) at present do not even understand why somebody born in say July 2004 is not as fast as somebody born in September 2003. The academies refused to adopt the age rules that every other country adopt so kids born after oct / nov in an academic year are just ignored. To have an academy we need a stable premiership team we could not afford it in the championship. To get that premiership team we need to invest in our squad until they are established. If the money that we overpaid on our season tickets in league 1 had been put into the academy rather than Grant Holt I fear we would be a championship side at best. Surely it is upto the club to invest in academies. For what ever reason they told you via the money you used to raise fans money was no longer required.
 9.

Like Southampton! You name one club. When Sutton, Fox, Bellamy and Eadie came through the rules were very different from those the academy has had to contend with in the last 10 years. Added to the fact that the top divisions weren''t stacked full of foreign players making it even more difficult for local boys to play league football at any level. Anyway, over the last 10 years off the top of my head we''ve had playing for our first team Robert Green, Jason Shackell, Darren Kenton, Chris llewellyn, Darel Russell, Ryan Jarvis, Ian Henderson, Joe Lewis, Michael Spillane, Chris Martin, Luke Daley, Tom Adeyemi, Korey Smith, George Francomb, Declan Rudd, Jed Steer. (apologies to the lads I forgot). Now that''s not an unmitigated disater in anyone''s language.
Man City are investing £550 million we are investing £2 and a bit million and suddenly to be raised by the fans. The likes of Southampton, Watford, Cambridge, Crewe and West Ham to name but a few know how to develop kids when they are 7 upwards. I have no problem with our academy team but when it comes to developing talent from a young age we are light years behind still judging kids on wether or not they won last week and not what can be produced.   Like I said I am quite happy to invest in giving help to Hughton but not to something ( ie the younger kids ) that clearly has not worked.
Again, I''m not commenting on the 19 quid. It''s not for me to have a view on what others do with their money. I''m commenting on the opinion that for the last ten years our academy has been an unmitigated disaster.   This message board seems to be full of people who want to slag down everyone and everything to do with our club. I''m proud of our academy and especially the few local boys who have come through over all the years. Not many Norfolk boys have played at a better standard than Tom Adeyemi has the potential to attain. If you don''t think we are investing properly in our academy the have a look at this website especially the new EPPP. It''s an exciting concept and some thing I''m really pleased that our academy has embraced and I''m proud that we applied for and attained category one rating.   http://www.footballacademytalk.com/   That much vaunted tahn academy, much to their fan''s consternation didn''t bother to apply for category one. Of course they wouldn''t have attained it anyway.
Unfortunately it is not just our academy it is the English academy system, hence why Man City have employed a large per centage of the Barcelona academy coaches. Can you really tell me that over 10 years not one Norfolk born child could not be developed into a premiership footballer ? I am not a moaner I stick up for this club at every hurdle. Again I would happily invest into a group of kids each year contracted to this club to be sent to Barcelona / Bayern ect to be developed into premiership footballers. If you look at our scholars each year most have been developed by Cambridge / West Ham / Tottenham to name but a few and not us. kids at under 7 - scholars at our club can be kicked out every 6 weeks.

 11.
Hmmmm, just actually read my renewal paperwork after working away for a while, and I had till January 31st to opt out of the academy donation. Not saying I would have, but a bit cheeky automatically opting you in to it.
Thats interesting did not know that. Plan to renew ours next week and will be insisting on opting out. Will have to think seriously about all 8 of our tickets if we are made to pay it. Would love to see where that was highlighted in all the initial announcements. By the way for those who then scream unloyal ect I would happily donate the £19.00 to a Hughton help to sign Hooper fund.
 12.
We do seem to perform against CH''s beloved Spuz. He seems to be able to raise extra motivation against them. Perhaps we could try that motivation every week instead of being in awe as we are against Liverpool etc
I must have dreamt the previous 26 points
 13. Thanks KIO - should also have mentioned our subs are Camp, Whittaker, Howson, Jackson, Fox, E.Bennett, R.Bennett Got to say Salopian with all the injuries this is the first time this team has all played together for sometime. Once Whittaker 100 % fit assume he will be back in as much as I like Martin. Bit harsh on Wes has he not won 4 of the last 5 MOM at home ? Possibly in fairness you did not go on Saturday when the likes of Bennett had their chance and could not impress
 14. See what you mean Jarrold we could have played the players from Saturday and played for a loss. After what we saw on Saturday you cant really say this team is a shock can you ?
