  1. Just saying - At kick off it doesn't matter what anybody else does! Just don't go backwards! OTBC - the £160M game so no pressure then..
  2. Agree with this. I will so pleased to see Vrancic start and Tettey and/or Leitner for Trybull etc. Back to winning fluid football ways.
  3. All I can predict is that we'll get one or two we've never heard off and none we are talking about. In Weber we trust 😀
  4. This is nonsense - it isn't that black and white. We've done really well overall but we haven't been at our best recently - less fluid and incisive. There are several reasons for this - and we all have quite valid opinions. 4 unexpected draws on the trot does cause questions and in truth even in that winning streak we may have ridden our luck more than some wish to remember! For what it's worth I think Vrancic should have come back earlier and one or two others may be mentally exhausted and not on their game at present possibly due to playing week in week out. Overall I really enjoy the kind of football Farke likes to play - but he's not infallible either!
  5. Agree with most of what you say - except Vrancic and Trybull to start. If Vrancic doesn't deserve his shirt back now he never will - and that would be a very bad position for City. No fault for McLean, Leitner or Todd. This match is frankly all but a must win!
  6. Not sure I entirely agree with that. I'd have put Vrancic in for EMI or McLean wide. Both are more offensive players than Leitner who naturally is more defensive. I'm sure Farke had his reasons but Vrancic in EMI's position is the one we all thought but was never tried !
  7. Simply Vrancic must be full of confidence and rearing to go following his Friday might special. McLean to make way. Emi back in his berth. Same team as destroyed Leeds please. Once we are three up rest or rotate key players.😊
  8. Yes - I sometimes think Farke makes a rod for his own back by refusing to change or even rotate the team even when missing a key player. That's fine if you have a true like for like available nut Emi and Vrancic are the playmakers at present - possibly with Mo in his natural position.
  9. Yes - But the spell-checker on my phone intervened it seems . My point still stands - was pleased to see Mo but why oh why out wide? Not his position at all. Tryball and Vrancic surely on Monday to start (with Emi). McLean does well but we need the creativity, speed of thought and frankly incisiveness Vrancic brings. Vrancic also has fresh legs and is more match fit (something I alluded to in an earlier post - always playing the same team means those that don't play lose their edge -and are then rusty when you need them most! Rotate a little when you can.
  10. Didn't understand Mo out wide. Made his sense to me. Vrancic as ever should start. Simplest.
  11. Same view. I'm hoping this will be a very good day!
  12. A Reading win will pile the pressure on Wigan to get a result Spoke too soon 😂
  13. Sense this may herald or give an opportunity for a more significant change. Tettey and Leitner at the back. Vrancic possibly too.
  14. Yes. Wigan had a sense of deja vu about it from the start of the season. Unconvincing.
  15. The disease is called being a Canary fan. Been there too many times to worry but even stuttering as we've done in the last two games we should be OK. Sheffield Utd. have almost no room for error even now! That said - Each or any of the next two games could be worth £150M to the club. No pressure then!
  16. Just want to add one thought to the mix. Does Pukki's lean spell correlate with the loss of Vrancic - he would quite often play Pukki through. Without a doubt we've played differently without him and perhaps not too our best strengths. We are not a one man (Buendi) team - we have lots of other playmakers and players feed off each other.
  17. This is what most of us think. Don't blame Cantwell - Farke needs to hold his hand up for this one - he has loads of credits already and admitting a mistake (albeit for the best intentions) is human.
  18. Totally agree with this. Makes me really cross those that are on the backs of McClean or Cantwell. They play to their skill as best they can set in a team and style Farke chooses. I do believe Farke however made a mistake with the 'mix' in the recent two games lacking the creative heart and soul of the team at kick-off. Buendi filled that role recently as do Vrancic and Leitner.
  19. In the last two matches we've given ourselves a handicap (or Reading and Wigan a sporting chance of 3 points) before we made our subs. I don't think that was really our intention. One or other or both has to start Friday.
  20. Agree - I think Farke just got it wrong yesterday - but he's allowed the odd mistake as w all are. Cantwell has his place in the squad as all the rest on merit but he can't replace Buendi like for like without a Vrancic or Leitner being present as well to dictate the game.
  21. Ougt to say I'm a Farke fan but not changing the team today is the first time I've had some doubts.
