Is £40m enough though? Factoring out goals and assists in his Prem season he had similar stats to De Bruyne with chances created and beat other players such as Grealish and Mahrez. Would they get sold for that price? Obviously they have more Prem Experience and brought goals and assists to their game which Emi didn’t, but who’s to say if he had the players around him at that time he couldn’t have achieved better stats. His Argentina call up will make him more in demand and i’m not sure Arsenal is the stepping stone he needs. He’s good enough for an Atletico, for a Chelsea. Leeds and Villa are delusional if they feel they have even a remote chance of signing him.

Arsenal are a bit of a joke at the moment. Out of their squad you could probably hand pick 5/6 that are good enough to play for them. The rest need to be put on the scrap heap. As mentioned the value they are putting on their fringe players is absurd. Arteta isn’t right for them and are the Kroenke’s really going to splash the cash. I can’t see it.

Plus i think The Championship has definitely become a better league. It gets moaned about every year with the level of teams, saying its a weak league but their are hundreds of International players plying their trade here. Obviously bar the EPL, La liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 i imagine it is probably the 6th best league in Europe. You have the Belgian, Dutch, Czech, etc but really only 2-3 teams per nation that really contest for anything

Brentford, Blackburn and Qpr all interested. Hilarious that they could have got around £3m from us a few seasons ago. Now lucky to even get £1m -
I tend to agree. I don’t think Buendia is replaceable, he is hands down the best player i have witnessed at this club. That is probably the only part of their interview i thought was wrong. Only thing i would want is for him to get the chance to represent Argentina while he is still a player here as i feel realistically he will give us one more season before moving on to that Champions League club. Everyone compares his stats to Grealish and says how Jack performed better and got more goals and assists but they don’t add that Villa invested £100m on new players that season in the Prem to make them stand out more compared to our budget to help Emi and co out.

Will we be Champions?

Reading have been woeful away lately and Barnsley may rest a few players if they have secured their play-off birth by then. Its not out of the realms but am happy that we have promotion secured and Webber and co have a head start on the other 2 promotion contenders. -

Would be a shame as we have been up there all season. Personally i’m not to fussed but will be good for players like Skipp, Gibbo, Gianny and some of the youngsters that have featured to get a medal -
Official transfer rumour thread

Not a rumour but would quite like us to look at Samuele Ricci of Empoli if we can’t get Skipp back on loan. Big future in the game, currently playing in Serie B, 19, Italy u21 international. He has a good passing range as well as being a gritty tackler. Only drawback is Arsenal and Leicester have been alerted to him. -

Trio of Spanish clubs interested in Emi. Sevilla, Atletico and Villarreal. God its going to be a long Summer😆

Emi is class pure and simple. He has that raw talent that can’t be coached. I can honestly see him in a PSG or Juventus team he’s that good. A lot of people may scoff but we’ve had Barca, Bayern, Dortmund, Leverkusen, United, Liverpool, etc all take a look at our players. We’re obviously doing something right. No longer the feeder club who sells to a mid table prem team who eventually sells them on for inflated prices.
