I’d play the same team again but put Stiepermann in for Hugill. The extra craft and link up play will set Pukki free IMO. Krul Aarons, Hanley, Gibson, Quintilla Skipp & Rupp Emi, Stiepermann, Cantwell Pukki

2-2 Pukki with both

I think now we’ve got this trio of games out of the way against more physical teams hopefully Steipermann will be restored to his usual position and ditto Pukki and we’ll give a lot of teams a good rogering this season. Hugill can come off the bench in an emergency.

Is it me or is Hugill not suiting our style of play and lacks quality? He might be good for the last 10 mins barrage of the opposition if we’re losing but what I’ve seen of him so far I’m not impressed. Don’t get me wrong he certainly tries and gives 100% I just don’t think he has the quality of say Holt or Robert to work for us. I’d love to be proven wrong. We’ll see.

If he carries on like this he might get snapped up by one of the bigger boys before actually putting on a Norwich shirt!

Gunn, Culverhouse, Bowen, Butterworth, Linighan, Townsend, Crook, Huckerby, Fox, Sutton, Deehan Subs/Squad Bruce, Watson, Woods, Fox, Eadie, Holt, Ashton, Pukki, Buendia, Phelan This is based on players who actually made it at the highest level IMO.

Maybe we need to think of who are likely to finish above us and with that I’d say Watford and Bournemouth are the most likely candidates. So I’d go for any two above from 3.

You’re going to need Emi to open Wycombe up. Playing without him is madness.

Idah looked more dangerous than Hugill but it might be his place as an impact sub for the time being.

Hugill didn’t do too much tonight and doesn’t look nimble enough to be a starter for Norwich at the moment. He seems to be on his heels too much. Best bet is to stick with Pukki up front especially as we seem to be playing a lot quicker now. It makes it easier for Pukki’s clever runs to be picked out.

Excellent performance from Rupp. Seems like he’s growing in confidence.

Last time we got promoted Farke liked to keep a settled side so I would expect fitness of the starting 11 to improve as it takes around 10 games to get match fit. Hopefully by then Farke will have found the last couple of pieces of the jigsaw and where they fit in I.e. Cantwell, Vrancic etc and gel. From there hopefully we can start to climb the table with some vigor.

Buendia, I’d play him there and Placheta on the wing. That would be an interesting combo seeing Emi thread balls behind the back 4 for Placheta and Idah to run onto. With a fit Pukki in the middle to get the left overs.

If you consider the fitness of the current 11 first teamers I would say we are well below being a fit and fully functioning team. For example: Gibson has played something like two matches in two years. Hanley has hardly played since lockdown. Idah has only played one full game at this level. Steipermann has hardly played since lockdown. Buendia hasn’t played too much recently. just think the improvement in the team once they are fit and gelling.

If Trybull is on loan then surely he won’t be able to play against us but help Blackburn stop our rivals. 😉

Any news on him as he seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth? I didn’t know whether he would be loaned out again or be given a chance in the first team or not?

It should be enshrined that there will always be 3 up 3 down without a vote from the 92 clubs. The League Cup should be maintained but if the big teams don’t want to put a strong team out them fine so be it. From our point of view it gives our fringe players more chance of keeping fit and gaining experience. FFP rules or a salary cap need to be implemented in the EFL with the caveat that if a club over spends they have to convert the debt to shares.

During my period of supporting Norwich it’s got to be Chris Woods, Dave Watson, Ian Crook, Mark Bowen, Ian Culverhouse,, Steve Bruce, Mike Phelan, Andy Townsend, Grant Holt, Dion Dublin, Teemu Pukki, Emi Buendia, Bryan Gunn, John Deehan.

Actually I’m wondering if some of the other youngsters will be going out on loan as well such as Hondermark and Dennis? That’ll really fast forward their progress I would have thought.

I wonder if Norwich will send him out on loan now he’s made a great impact in the EFL Trophy. If he can get in at Div 2 for a season will really boost his development I would have thought and who knows we might have another new gem on our hands.

I’d take him on a pay as you play deal even if it’s just until Dowel is fit in January.

I’m more worried about the team who press us. We’re still not good at playing from the back. Preston showed others the way to stop us.

If it was me and Farke went (which I am not advocating), I would consider Thomas Frank as first choice followed by Mark Robbins with Culverhouse assisting.
