  1. Lambert can scurry off back to Suffolk, he'll still claim some sort of victory.
  2. Do you think that they're capable of doing that? I don't think that they've done that all season.
  3. It's what we've all been waiting for, what we've all been talking about and it's finally arrived, whatever occurs over the ninety minutes, the twists and turns, the old rivalries and ultimately the result. Keep safe everyone, from both sides of the divide, enjoy the day, we don't know when we'll play each other again so make the most of what still remains a great event in the area.
  4. This. His record is worse than Hurst's, no sign of a 'bounce ' since he arrived, despite all the talk of new arrivals in January, all they got was oldies, freebies and journeymen. When interviewed, his statement "I'm coming to win " begs the question, how? You're the worst Team in the League, your confidence is shot, you can't score, you're poor defensively and you're playing the best Team in the League. If you mastermind a victory you'll be asked, how come you can't do it every week?... unless it's all about you? They could still win, but if they do, it won't be pretty.
  5. All in all, another bad week for Spies United, what's that? 2 wins in 7 now? West Brom, Derby and Bristol City all won, the gap is closing and they've lost momentum.
  6. There was a time when they were well ahead but we've reeled them in more recently, to the extent that they now include the Texaco Cup and the Simod Cup games from the 70s and 80s to stay ahead.
  7. I can see him walking out onto the pitch just to get a reaction, I hope we just ignore him, get the 3 points and go clear at the top. We can celebrate our win, celebrate 10 years unbeaten, give there support (such as it is) some stick, that should be enough, Lambert isn't important anymore, that's why he's managing a Team at the bottom of the League.
  8. I still think we'll 'manage ' the game. Like Brum and Leeds last week, get an early lead and kill the game. At 2-0 we're probably safe, they don't have the quality to turn it around and while the crowd might want more, we've got Preston in a few days.... That said, I'd like a repeat of Scunthorpe, a hat trick for Pukki, bring him off for Rhodes, who also gets 3.
  9. .... except it has nothing to do with football.
  10. Watching the Webber interview, it's reassuring to know that there's a plan in place for any eventuality, he said that at some point even DF will leave and he will be replaced with somebody with the same mindset. That is probably the same for the players, if Aarons is eventually sold you can bet Webber will have identified a suitable replacement.
  11. Play that before the game and watch the Barclay lay down some moves. Classic 💃🕺
  12. It's starting to look like they've gone back to the MickMac model of management. Apart from the charm offensive of course.
  13. Mello, you're in danger of being accused of being northernerist
  14. Worth the read but it should be in the non football section.
  15. Wilder's press conference will be lively. If you're a journalist, tread carefully.
  16. Apologies, he said 'I'm coming to win ' which shows it's all about him. Best to just ignore him then.
  17. Has anyone seen Lambert's pre- match press conference? Didn't want to talk about Norwich, when asked about Pukki, he said 'I don't know much about him ' everyone was aiming at his link with us but he wasn't biting. No idea what players are fit or otherwise and he was very short with Paddy Davitt, stared him down, 'we're coming to win' was his response.... Pure theatre.
  18. Reading's Manager has piled in now, this isn't going away.
  19. I won't be there but seriously, I don't think Lambert is worth the effort. Cheer on our boys, make it a Fortress for the full 90, send them home with their ears ringing. Let's face it, they won't experience support like that where they're going.
  20. Something I was mulling over recently, every promotion we've enjoyed you could 'feel ' as the season progressed. I guess it's to do with momentum, we either get promoted or nowhere near challenging. This season again, has an air of inevitability about it, that's not to say it's definitely going to happen but as each game approaches we look stronger and more confident.
