  1. As far as I’m aware we’re trying to get rid of them as they’re out of contract next summer and not in Smith’s plans for this season
  2. Was hoping for a 0-0 draw as that’s always best when the season kicks off - us to win with a clean sheet and all the other teams to draw 0-0. Looking at the match stats I’m now very interested to see how we do in our game against Huddersfield in a few weeks time. Can’t judge any team by their opening game of the season though as there’s still another 45 games to be played
  3. I did, but they can’t help me out as according to them I don’t have an active subscription. From what I’ve read I think I need to cancel the direct debit, and restart, making sure I subscribe via the Pink Un website
  4. Hello, I downloaded the Pink un app to my iPad and then to android phone a while back. My free trial ended a long time back and when I’m logged out on my iPad it says I have an active subscription and so can still view, but when I’m logged in it says I don’t have an active subscription and so I can no longer view it via my phone. I emailed about the problem yesterday but they can’t help as according to them I don’t have an active subscription. Does anyone know if there’s a way that I can link my subscription on my iPad to my account or cancel my subscription and restart again?
  5. I from what I’ve seen pre-season I believe Gibbs is a defensive midfielder. Sinani is more of a winger/no 10, but like Cantwell has also been playing as a central midfielder in a 4-3-3 in pre season
  6. You get a free trial for 30 days, after that you have to subscribe
  7. It’s certainly worth having. However, I messed things up by not putting in my email address when I downloaded it onto my iPad, so I can’t get it on my mobile (if I log in via my mobile it says I don’t have an active subscription, when I do)
  8. We certainly seem to do better when we spend less. I think Buendia only originally cost us about £1.8m increasing to about £5m after he helped us to promotion, not to mention Pukki and Krul have only cost us their wages...
  9. I would like to see Martin and Soto go the same way as Famewo and Bushiri so we get something for them whilst we still can, even though it would be a very small fee (~£50k) as I can’t see either of them having any future here, although I’m not fussed if they don’t. Byram is very questionable because he’s so injury prone, but he’s quite good when fit. I’m not massively bothered about losing Hugill, provided either Pukki signs a new contract or we sign a Pukki equivalent this summer as otherwise we will have to sign two new strikers next summer, which is the last thing we want if we get promoted. The rest I would like to see either sign new contracts or sold this summer, as I do believe we could be missing out on quite a bit if they go for nothing. It may take a few games before it happens though as you can’t judge a player on their pre-season performance and Sinani is yet to make a competitive first team appearance, Hugill and Hernandez are yet to for Smith, and of the few games Cantwell featured for Smith last season there was an issue regarding Cantwell’s mentality, which looks like it may have been sorted out now
  10. The transfer window is still open for over five weeks, and so there’s no certainty that Aarons or any of our other first choice players will stay. As it stands though Byram, McLean, Sinani, Cantwell, Dowell, Hernandez, Martin, Pukki, Hugill and Soto are all set to become free agents next summer, and so we might see some of them signing new contracts and some possibly departing in the next few weeks
  11. The transfer window is still open for over five weeks, so there’s no certainty the likes of him and a few more of our first choice players will be staying. As it stands though Byram, McLean, Sinani, Hernandez, Cantwell, Dowell, Martin, Pukki, Hugill, and Soto are all set to become free agents next summer, and so I think it’s highly likely in the next few weeks we w see some signing new contracts and some possibly departing
  12. Krul, Aarons, Hanley, Omobamidele, Giannoulis, Sinani, McLean, Cantwell, Rashica, Sargent and Pukki in a 4-3-3, although I think Sorensen will take Sargent’s place if it’s a 4-2-3-1
  13. Never judge a team’s strength on their pre-season friendlies. It was a very poor performance against Celtic in comparison to the starting XI, although the first goal should have been disallowed for offside and the second was down to a poor pass by McCallum, who I think will probably be backup for Giannoulis this season. Friendlies are also used to try out new players and tactics, and although I do believe players try very hard to do well I’m not convinced they take them quite as seriously as league fixtures, as the result of the game means nothing. As with all games, you’ve also got to take absentees into account - Hayden and Sara sound good so why didn’t they even feature in the squad? With Hanley being our captain and first choice CB you would expect him to usually play the full 90 minutes so why on earth was he subbed at HT? I’m not bothered about the game against Hibs either. The performance was better than yesterday’s, and before the Celtic game Smith said he wanted to try and give all of his squad 90 minutes of game time - are we really expecting Tomkinson, Shipley, and Hills to be above Hanley, Omobamidele and Gibson in the CB pecking order this season? I think Sorensen, Hayden and Byram will be above them
  14. If they were moved to the English Championship for this season I can see them finishing in the top 6, but can’t see them winning the title. Everyone says about how uncompetitive the SPL is as the title is always solely between Celtic and Rangers, and I think most of the teams would struggle in the English Championship. Celtic often exit Europe at the group stage, simply because their players are inexperienced due to weakness of their league opposition. If Celtic’s squad got a year or two of good Championship experience though I do believe they could become strong title contenders. If by chance they did get promoted this season I think next season they would face a relegation battle in the EPL though
  15. It will certainly be a very inexperienced squad. I seriously doubt Aarons, Omobamidele, McLean, Cantwell, or Sinani will feature as they all played the full 90 minutes yesterday, or Hanley as he got injured. Rowe, Gibbs and Tomkinson may get the full game as they were all unused subs yesterday, Riley will probably feature at right back and possibly even Tomkinson as he has also played there in some of the friendlies. Like you’ve said about Shipley and Hills, Kamara was also there so they may very well all feature. When Dowell got injured there was belief that he would be back for this game, although he wasn’t in yesterday’s squad. Sara may be ready to feature as a sub but if he is strongly in Smith’s plans for this season I doubt he will, as really it would taking too much of a gamble. I think Gunn and McGovern will feature in goal
  16. Tzolis is only 20 and has 4 years left. Smith said he wants him to have a future here but that he won’t be able to give him regular game time this season, so he’s sent him out on loan. For us to never see Tzolis in a Norwich shirt again I think all his loan spells will have to fail to benefit him
  17. I’d definitely send him out on loan now as with Krul, Gunn, and McGovern we don’t need him, and so won’t need to bring someone in to cover his absence It was sad how last season got ruined for him, but it would be great if he can get regular game time in League One
  18. Sad as I was expecting him to do great for us this season. No huge blow though as I think with Sinani, McLean, Sorensen, Hayden, and Sara should all do fine. Gibbs has also looked very promising in pre-season
  19. I think you’re actually very right. There’s no saying that a good season out on loan won’t put him above Rashica in the pecking order
  20. Well if he also has a good season out on loan he’ll probably be in the squad as backup, and if we go straight back down again he might become first choice. However, if he has a poor season out on loan then he’ll probably only go out on loan again
  21. Smith has said he wants Tzolis to have a future with us but that he won’t be able to give him game time this season, which is why he’s looking to just send him out on a season long loan. I think sending him out with an option to buy would be crazy, as his contract doesn’t expire until 2026 and he’s still only 20, so there’s still plenty of time for him to develop. Hopefully he’ll get regular game time in the 6th highest ranked league in the world and improve a lot. Have heard of FC Twente before but don’t know how far they tend to get in Europe. Hopefully the Conference League will help develop him, it’s just he’s not even ready for the PL yet
  22. He’s gone. The club have just confirmed it
  23. A flashing green dot with “LIVE” to the left will appear in the top right corner
  24. I don’t think fans are necessarily expecting him to become the next Buendia, but I think you’ve made a very good point about fan expectations there. No new signing is guaranteed to turn out how they sound, and if they sound positive and turn out negative they can get huge stick from the fans - I think that’s what caused Gilmour and Tzolis to get so much stick last season, also with RvW and Naismith. I think Krul, Pukki, Buendia and Grant Holt got the exact opposite though We think Sara is going turn out to be a great signing, but we’ve got to bear in mind that we’ll just have to wait and see - he may be great, he may be ok, but he may turn out to be awful
