  1. Good report as usual. You used the word lightweight in your last sentence, and that is the biggest problem for me. The Premiership teams seemed to have grown by a foot and a half since we were last there. And out on a couple of stone. Each week now is increasingly like boys vs men.
  2. So you're not season ticket holders then and you can't get tickets for Man Utd. Wow, what a surprise.
  3. Too weak, too lethargic at the start of matches, too slow at moving the ball. At this rate It'll be back to local derbies next season.
  4. Schlupp chucked the ball behind him and into the crowd to waste time. That's not wrong ?.
  5. Yes we are still in this. A pity we have to start so sluggish though.
  6. Blatter and Platini are having sleepless nights.......err, or maybe not.
  7. ThanksTilly, at last we've got a sense of how the meeting went, and what the club may have in mind for next season. All I've seen prior to this was when a lady re tweeted a message from the London meeting. And that carried **** all info as far as I could see. It just more or less confirmed that the tweeter, Mathew I think, is now in the kensell fan club. Then he proceded to give us his own ideas which I wasn't particulary in interested in. Now at least we have a flavour of what went on.
  8. Sorry but I wouldn't add Stiepermann as a 'shoe in'. He's a big unit and should be able to make his presence felt a bit more. But for me he anonymous in to.many games.
  9. It's very easy to say that someone not on the pitch would make a difference. Now you're saying Trybull would as well. He's had his critics this season. The fact is we get bullied out of these games all to easy. And we'll be playing more like Burnley than like Citeh.
  10. Doesn't help if you start the game by tip tapping the ball around at the back with no urgency. Looked like the players believed the hype from last week.
  11. I've been going since 1953 and had a ST for approx 60 years. Can't remember the exact year because my dad got the first few. I've no idea why I keep renewing, apart from the emotional attachment of going with my dad and uncle in the early days. I've lived in London for most of that time, and that journey is enough to drive a sane man crazy. Most of my QPR and Chelski pals think I'm nuts when they do the trip. In fact we've got a golf tour in Norfolk in a couple of weeks so that'll be a few more who think I'm nuts.
  12. It's not just the 3 vs 5 sets. I go to Wimbledon a couple of times every year and generally the men have tough matches from the getco. Lots of 7-6 sets and mostly 4 or 5 setters. Wheras the top women often breeze through their matches right up to the semis. It's money for old rope for them.
  13. Odd then that you mention a car journey. Is that a northern thing ?.
  14. Not sure that the first game, in scouseland on a friday night on the telly, will cause a protest blockage of tractors and combine harvesters around Carra Rud. But the next away game at the Olympic Stadium could well do.
  15. I was back in London earlier than normal from.the QPR midday kick off a couple of weeks ago. And the tube train I get home goes past Wembley. It filled up along the way with Man City fans going to the semi final. All I can tell you is that they were all really respectfull to us. Maybe they saw us as easy pickings, I don't know. But all of them, young and old wanted to talk about NCFC.
  16. I thought last Friday's 3pms were on the red button and that was a bank holiday so don't see the difference.
  17. Christ, United down to ten men and their main striker limped off. And Ben Marchall hits the crossbar.
  18. Ironic the Yorkie mentions WBA as not resorting to anything at the New York. They certainly went down easily when we played them at the Hawthorns. And the ref bought it. Plus a couple of weeks later Mr Gayle was banned for diving in another game. Sour grapes comes to mind.
  19. They made it easy for Utd. Trying to play like Barcelona without Messi.
  20. Is that selective reporting ?. I think you'll find they got it back to 3 - 4, and missed a penalty for the draw.
