1.
Whoever the hell Keith is? I think it was Keith. Saying that Grant Holt should be dropped? He''s out Captain and puts 100% in even when he isn''t having a good game and today I thought he did reasonably well. We deserved to win the game, just didn''t take our chances. We''re 6th in the League, we certainly don''t need to change anything. Please think before speaking on Canary Call, the vast majority are complete tools.
Kevin. But close enough and I completely agree. Tonight there seemed to be more muppets ringing up than usual.
 2. Spot, chuffing, on with regards to the generally positive vibes in the thread. Regardless of which was our better performance of the season, we''re still kicking on and looking good. We''ll play much worse than that this season and pick up 3 points easily. It''s just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. F*** Hull and their away record, because despite getting the result they wont be able to get away with that again this season.
 3. Amen, though if they keep up this recent form  they''ll definitely be favourites to get the points.
 4.
It became quite clear last night that McNally and Foulger saved this club from oblivion. It also became clear that the previous stewardship were not taking difficult decisions that might upset some fans prefering to go with burying their heads in the sand than making difficult decisons. I think it is safe to say that the banks have shown faith in McNally and Foulger but would not have had the same thoughts towards the previous regime and Doncaster. As I have said on another thread dont know how you do it but McNally should be nominated for one of those legend things at the end of the season.
Couldn''t agree more. As I said, McNally''s arrival basically gave the club a second wind if you will. Under Doncaster we were getting absolutely nowhere. Actually that''s not strictly true, we were slipping further and further into the abyss. I''ve said it time and time again, but I really think if anyone has any doubts whatsoever about McNally, some of the payers or coaching staff, just look at what they''ve done in a 13 month spell. It''s absolute magic.
 5. I was initially top for around two or three weeks I think, but I''ve now plummeted to third. I was also top of the Facebook Canaries league for a time, but that''s gone to turd as well. Last week was an awesome week for me as virtually everyone scored points save for one or two players. Had a dreadful start to September, but I''ve planned my team more for the long term. Having said that, I''ve decided to ditch Kris Boyd because he''s basically produced naff all. I expect Bellamy''s Cardiff career to gather more speed as it progresses. Grant Holt is the new team captain, because he''s superman.
 6. I think a big part of it may be because we''re pretty much at that melancholy stage of the season. We''re past the start of it now and traditionally most autumn games don''t always have the added spice that opening games and 2nd half of the season games do. It''ll pick up closer to Christmas once the league table has had time to pan out some more, for better or worse. It''ll also pick up once the visits of Leeds and Ipswich take place.
 7. McNally is the real saint for me, because when he came in he basically gave the rest of the board the kick up the backside that it needed to get themselves out of the mess they were in.
 8.
haha oh dear get over yourselves. He won two or three headers and one tackle after Drury had already won the last ditch one cleanly in the box before the 50/50 fell to Lappin and the other player who injured themselves in the process on the edge of the box.  Elliot Ward was giving both Drury and Lappin a blast a few times during the first half for their poor defending and picking up the spare men on that side of the pitch.  Yes he also put one or two ok balls in to the box, but to suggest that Lappin was any more than average on Saturday is hysterical nonsense - perhaps brought about in many cases by some of his critics, because he raised his standard from a poor display to an average one?Russell Martin who gets slated however had yet another solid game.As for man of the match, don''t make me laugh.  Without the hard work and quality of Chris Martin, Crofts and Korey then we would''ve been lucky to come away from Deepdale with a point on Saturday.
You love him Smudge, you know you do.The guy is absolute class. After being frozen out of the team he could''ve moved, but chose to fight on and he''s reaped the rewards ever since. I love the guy. Although I did put a fiver on him to score on the final day of the season, proudly professing to anyone in earshot that today was finally going to be the day he scored. Last day syndrome and all that. I was convinced for instance that if we got a penalty, he''d be encouraged to take it so he could finally get on the scoresheet. Eventually, he got subbed by Lambert. LAMBERT OUT!!Still, a gem. It''s no coincidence Drury plays better with Lappers ahead of him.
 9.
These are games that we have to win if we are to be or ther abouts come May. Games because we are home, teams because both are ''struggling'' at the moment - that is in the sense of underperforming, we suppose. to what was expected. Odd how the fixture list can affect what happens. I''m certain that if it had been QPR away rather than Preston or Scuntorpe we would have three points less. It could be that when we do play QPR they have gone off the boild a bit and we have started to gel a bit more. Who knows but there is an element of luck in when you play a team as to what state they are in. Out of the two it''s Hull I fear most. Their unbeaten run has to come to an end at some point. I would settle for four points. That''s almost our average at the moment at two points a game - and those who can do sums will be aware that two points a game will give us 92 points come May !
This. It''s a cliche footballing strategy but home games are absolutely vital in our pursuit of a potential top 6 finish. We''ve proven so far we can at the very least string a run of results together. Now it''s time for the bigger test.
 10.
You were obviously looking at yourself in the mirror.
Playground humour? This message board is rapidly going down the toilet.
 11. I think Cardiff and QPR will be the top two come the end of the season. Ippy have started brightly admittedly, but I just don''t think they''ve got quite enough in the tank compared to the other two sides. There''s no bias in that statement intended though. For the rest of the top six, you''re looking at Burnley and Boro as shoe ins. Boro have had a crap start, but so have a lot of teams who have eventually got themselves promoted. After that, it''s a real race for 5th/6th. It could be basically anyone not named Scunthorpe or Portsmouth.
 12.
"Tangible Fixed Assets anyone?"Superflash, You are in denial. Have a nice day!
Thanks for that. I''d be inclined to agree, except for the fact that post wasn''t even aimed at you. Cretin.Back to the topic, it''s all very well Preston lowering their ticket prices but it''s still not drawing enough fans inside the ground. This is something we as a club have done very well over the last few years despite our precarious Championship years. Preston have fared much better, yet still can''t attract full houses. This may in part have something to do with their geographical location and the other teams which populate the North West and take most of the potential support, but it''s still surprising that the first ever football league champions struggle with such ax thing as this.
 13.
oh be quiet and stop moaning, we played well both halves and got the three points. be happy with whats happening.
[D] The voice of reason.
 14.
Here we go, financial insight from a citizen of the country that has given us the credit crunch. Rather like being lectured about the sins of pollution by the world''s biggest polluter. You stick to soccer and leave us to debate football.
What the? You insolent little toad.
 15.
Sure makes a sight for sore eyes, but am remaining grounded, still lots of season left.
Quite right to be fair. I''m not one for getting carried away after one result, despite what the thread might imply. I said the same after the Doncaster game when people were slagging off Lambert. Still, it just goes to show how far we''ve come in 13 months.
 16. It''s much more boring without Wiz to be honest. We need crazy characters like that on here.
 17. I''m with Brendo, maximum points baby. Failing that, I''d take 10 points and be pretty pleased.
 18.
Sorry, Superflash but you are talking out of your a*** Lambert is not above criticism and if he sets the team up wrong he lets the players down too. He gambled and lost by leaving the midfield to be over run. The only thing I don''t blame him for is the poor form of the holy trinity who need in the case of two of them to stop all the off field bollocks and prove themselves on the pitch at this level.
There''s criticism and there''s just heat of the moment horse manure, which is basically what all the Lambert critique is like on here whenever we happen to lose a match. At 2-0 down we got back into the match (via Chris Martin of the holy trinity no less. Talk about poor form. Sheesh) and by all accounts their third goal had a touch of luck to it. We really can''t grumble about that seeing as we''ve had our own fair share of the green so far. I really don''t think he "set the team wrong" as you put it. We lost to a good Doncaster side, it happens. But we certainly weren''t terrible and I highly doubt it''s the start of somekind of epic downward spiral for us. As for the holy trinity, recent results would suggest they''ve been doing just fine. Nothing amazing, but both Holt and Martin are off the mark and Hoolahan will find his feet in this league again soon enough. Stop being such a crybaby. We''ve had a more than good enough start to the season. If you''d have said this is where we would be at this stage we''d have absolutely taken it.
 19. Apologies for the odd typo there. Still, am I alone in thinking this?
 20. Please. Every time we lose a game, people come on here and talk about how poor his tactics were, or question whether he''s good enough for this level etc. It''s the absolute highest form of stupidity. I''ve already posted the below in another thread but it mainly applies for this. It''s time like this when I loathe and detest this message board. It''s ONE GAME. We lost to the better side on the night. Get over it and stop blaming Lambert every time we don''t win a match. It''s absolutely pathetic, because for the next win you''ll just be singing his praises again. I honestly thought we were more intelligent fans than this, at least most of us. Don''t make such idiotic comments after each game in the heat of the moment. Sorry folks, I just found it absolutely rubbish. The same thing happened after the Watford game. We need to remember where we were just over twelve months ago and what he''s done in that time. Show the man some respect, you wretched cretin.

 22. Most definitely. I think the witchhunt against him from some of the Hammers fans is absolutely disgusting. Last season Scott Parker got most of the plaudits for keeping them up, but I don''t remember him doing much of note at all for the majority of the season until right at the end. Greeno made some top saves for them and I''d go as far to say that he pretty much kept them up, or at the very least from getting absolutely battered week in and week out. His defence in front of him is absolutely atrocious, lacking any psychical presence or confidence (I''m looking at you, Matthew Upson!). Yes, he''s made mistakes, but that''s part and parcel of football. For every mistake he''s made, he''s made several cracking saves. Even in the USA game afger the blunder, he produced a great save in the second half, which the rapists in the press barely acknowledged. They also failed to acknowledge that England failed to take their chances up front during the game. Plus, West Ham as a club is in dire straits. I said it when Sullivan and Gold took over, they''d absolutely destroy that club if they didn''t buck their ideas up. I couldn''t believe it when they mentioned they were trying to sing players like Beckham and Henry in the press. What an absolute load of rubbish, they were trying to run before they could walk effectively. I fully expect West Ham to go down and I think Greeno should jump ship at the earliest possible opportunity, even if that means returning to the Championship for a short time. Surely it''s got to be affecting their morale. I''m confident Greeno will bounce back. He''s a club legend and by all accounts a terrific bloke.
