1. I hope Reading but that''s purely because I think they will be less of a threat next season and they are also Welsh. But if we were a side gunning for Europe every season I''d probably want Swansea as they play total football.
2.

Nothing wrong with getting the signings in early, but to be honest these two seem to be happening in double quick time! In Lambert We Trust etc. etc. ........but it appears that Palace and Millwall supporters deem the fees bandied about as being way too high for the players we will be getting. Would still prefer a gamble on CMS with his work-rate and goal-scoring/assists record - but that could prove a wrong move once he played in the Premiership. Didn''t think we''d be splashing the cash quite so early - just so long as it isn''t knee-jerk....
Well Morison has outscored Mackail-Smith in Division One and the Championship so far, yet you would prefer to be held to ransom for an average player by Peterborough United? As for Vaughan, 9 goals in about 20 odd games for Palace last season I think it was? He also has 7 Premiership goals and has scored in Europe for Everton previously. Vaughan, only 23 in July undoubtedly has bags of potential, with Everton fans thinking that he could possibly go further in the game than Rooney when he first broke on the scene for them. These two signings would add competition for both pace and power to our forward line and I would see them both as excellent signings and the type of players I would expect Lambert to bring in.Let''s get these deals tied up and then start working on the midfield and the defence.
I have to say I totally agree with Smudger. I echo his thoughts entirely.
3. Reminds me very much of our own Grant Holt. Has a bulldog like approach. Looks like Lambo is targetting two strikers in Vaughan and himself. I am liking this approach to signings though. I think everyone will take us lightly as we are not signing big names and there won''t be much pressure on the team to stay up as no one thinks it''ll happen, apart from the fans. If we keep signing these type of hungry players with something to prove I think the Premiership will find it hard to cope with us. I do think we need to strengthen more in midfield now though.
4. Reading that page shows that they think of him highly and he seems like he could be a good striker to Holt. If he is as hard working as Holt it''ll be hard for opposition defences to cope.
5. I think he would be a quality signing. It all depends on how injury free he stays. I don''t think he is expecting to be on the same money as he said he was more then willing to reduce his wages at Ipswich, he just wants to play football. Would fit in with the players very well too, as he seems like a very down to earth lad. Go get him Lambo, espeically if they are willing to let him go for free.
6. Abit harsh. Vokes looked alright but he is an average Championship player really. We shouldn''t be signing him to strengthen a Premier League squad.
7.
Leeds fan here...Firstly congratulations on back to back promotions. You thoroughly deserved it!Re. Snodgrass. I''d be surprised if he went to Norwich. I think sides from mid-table up to 5th place would be looking at him. No disrespect but (for now) bigger teams will be sniffing.Snodgrass also has a couple of years on his contract so we are under no pressure to sell. However - if I were to sacrifice one of our better players (Gradel, Snoddy, Howson, Becchio) then Snoddy would be the one. The reasons being that he would command a fee of around £3-4 million and we could fund a proper promotion push with that money. What Snodgrass lacks is pace. If he had it he would be playing for a top 4 team in the Prem - no doubt about it. He is 2 footed, can beat men for fun, works fairly hard, good set pieces. I''m not sure he''d fit into your diamond system though unless he was at the top of it but then you''d lose his wing play. For the record I believe Gradel is more important to Leeds. His pace and directness gives him the edge over Snoddy even though he lacks the abililty of Snoddy. All the best!
He does remind me of a Scottish James Milner, but maybe even better when it comes to ability. It''ll be interesting to see developments of the next few days.
8. I believe Sky Sports and Talksport more then the papers to be honest, so it could happen. Would give us a different option in the squad.
9.

. Jermaine Defoe - wrong character to have around this team imo
I don''t know Defoe personally so I can''t really comment on his character but the guy is a proven Premier League goalscorer, football wise he''d be an absolutely awesome signing*. *Not that I think it''s likely to happen, of course.
Yep, proven to score 4 goals in his last 21 Prem appearances. Cody would do better for sure.
Seriously? You think Cody would do better? Just because he scored 26 goals last season in League Two doesn''t mean he will take the Premier League by storm! I''d much rather have Defoe, I think Lambo could rejuvanate the guy.
10. Now now, children. I really hope we don''t sign Johnson. Never, ever impressed me when I''ve seen him, an average Championship player at best but thinks he is at least a Premiership player. I''d be reasonably happy with De Laet.
11. Well done Lambo, much deserved. Hope you stay around for a very long time.
12. It won''t be too long I don''t think. They have only just got back from Vegas and will probably tell them just before the squad start their holidays. It was probably discussed in a long meeting with the coaching staff a few days ago. Things are starting to happen, considering the amount of rumours on here today. Obviously not all will be but a few regular posters have said we are close to some certain players.
13. He didn''t sound hugely commited when he went off to his car whilst being interviewed by sky in regards to taking over at Burnley, I''m sure Michael Foulger wouldn''t lie. He''s probably just concentrating on trying to stay up by signing new players then himself, which is in his selfless character.
14. Gives something completely different to the squad. He is also a natural left winger, which we need as Surman isn''t cut out to play on the left, I see him more of a central player. If he gets over his injuries he could be a very good free transfer (he is out of contract, right?).
15. If we were interested in him, I''d hope he wouldn''t be the only striker we purchase. I think if he shows he is good enough, he can force his way into the starting line up, but I''d want us to sign another striker to give us a few quality options. I think Long would be an absolute fantastic partner for Holt, as well as Maynard.
16. He really is top quality but he has been linked with some big clubs in the past and I''m sure they will want him again. It would be nice to at least try and compete for signings like these though.
17. Scott Dann, Roger Johnson, Seb Larsson, Craig Gardner, Ben Foster, Freddy Sears, Demba Ba, Mark Noble, Jack Collison, Charlie Adam, Thomas Hitzelsberger (or however you spell it!), Dj Campbell, David Vaughan and Matty Phillips are all quality players and would be good signings (even if they did get relegated).
18. http://www.canaries.co.uk/page/NewsDetails/0,,10355~2363645,00.html Abit insignificant really but it''s good to see we are playing stronger opposition then last year, should be a good test and even if the ground is a dump I think alot of fans will go.
19. I don''t understand how people are saying no thanks at £4 million for him. He''s be absolutely quality. Proven goalscorer and has been one of the most consistent English goalscorers in recent years. If he was available at that price, I''d like to think we are that ambitious and make a bid. Don''t get me wrong, if it was accepted I doubt he would join us, but at least give it a go if he is available. He''d be a perfect partner for Holt.
20. In previous years Man U and Chelsea both get two promoted teams at home, wouldn''t be surprised if we face either of them.
21. I heard this a few weeks ago. We should of really filled the corner in the first place.
22. His girlfriend is from Norwich. I do hope though that he is joining us, didn''t the SPL finish yesterday?
23. I want Birmingham and Blackburn to go down, they are the biggest threats next season out of the bottom 6.
24.

Just reading Dani''s twitter; he''s arrived back at Liverpool to be told he can''t even train with the squad, never mind get a look in for match days. He seems really unhappy about it too. I appreciate there are some good players at Liverpool and I don''t think anyone would have expected him to walk into the squad, but not even letting him train? Sounds like he''s not particularly in Dalglish''s plans.
If he''s putting that sort of thing out in the open he maybe trying to engineer a move away from Anfield.
I don''t think so, I think he genuinely seems frustrated by the lack of oppotunities there. I don''t understand why they don''t want him to train, he might of made quite an improvement here and they don''t even want to have a look at him.
