Listened to the Scunthorpe v Forest game tonight and it sounded like he had a quality game. He made a couple of crucial tackles to get scunny the 3 points. His performance tonight got him man of the match and im pleased that he''s managed to settle in well at his new club. Top pro.

haha, looked quality against newcastle. Just lacking match fitness but its going to be a tough decision to pick from Jackson, Martin and Holt

Scored a few times pre season, including 2 today against Newcastle. He had a cracking season last season and my gut feeling is that some premier league / good championship team in going to make a bid for him sooner or later. Question is do you think he''ll stay or go??

RIP Roy, my thoughts are with his family.

Been Up Colney Today
Hoolahans Ped replied to Hoolahans Ped's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
* two 11-a-side teams -
Today I made my trademark summer visit to Colney and saw Doherty, Hoolahan and Maric training with the youth team. This could mean that Doherty and Hoolahan could be moving on but I was confused to why Maric was over there and thought that surely we wouldn''t sell him because he''s hardly played. Also watched a game of two 11-a-side games. One side consisting of what I think must be the starting line-up for Saturdays game ... Rudd Semmy, Askou, Nelson, Drury McVeigh, Smith, Hughes, Lappin Holt, Cureton ... and the other including players such as Whaley, Mcdonald and other youngsters. If the above team is indeed the starting lin-up for the Hartlepool game then I, firstly, think that Lambert must think quite highly of Cureton and must think he''s worth a punt at this level and secondly, it is worth trying to secure new defensive partenership in Askou and Nelson. I know that a lot of people that i''ve spoken to don''t rate Nelson because of his performance gainst Colchester but in my opinion, I think that everyone in that team was rubbish in that game but needs another chance (I would even give Theo one more chance, pehaps aginst Brentford in the JPT). Should be interesting!

Sunderland. My Grandad is a huge S''land fan and half of my family are from around there. Sunderland have always been my second team but nothing could really compare to or replace Norwich. -

Review of game from Palace Fansite
Hoolahans Ped replied to shortfatb's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think its a bit harsh to judge palace (and for that matter Lee) on one game. I''m sure (but hope not as I would love them to go down) that they will sign a few more players before the beginning of the season and I think that they will do ok this year. As for Lee, as soon as we signed Holt, I thought that we had finally given up on Lee and I wasn''t too fussed. Lee''s wages and transfer fee would have been a lot more than Holt''s. -
Scotland Tour Commentary ?

I very much doubt it. There wasn''t really commentry today, just updates whenever anyone scored. Would be great if there was commentry though. It doesn''t usually happen. -

This is old old news now James. We have known all week that we''ve been in talks with Alan Lee. Please keep up and don''t try and make out YOU are breaking this news! You only have to look at the other dozen threads on this!
Yes there''s been a lot of speculation about Lee this past week but to be fair James posted the news on the 23rd June and its not the first time he''s given us info re signings that happened.
here, here.

I for one am remaining positive and ambitious because whats the point in moaning about our club all the time.
What has you being ambitious got to do with anything
I''m just a bit fed up with all the negativity. Get behind the team.

probably just Llera.

Ok player but at 35 can he do a job for us. Probably would take him tbh.

Why oh why...
Hoolahans Ped replied to The Ghost of Percy Varco's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I don''t see how some can be so negative towards Doc?? At one point he was the only recognised centre back at the club and in a lot of games last season he was a rock at the back. His urges to play rugby has decreased and imo he is a quality centre back and we would be silly to let him go. -
Alan Lee is one of us, one of us, one of us
