  1. Just seen he is reffing the Blackburn - Villa game! Total disgrace to the game!
  2. Looked tidy, playing out of position. I think he was just brought on to mark Waghorne (however its spelt), as he was tearing us apart. But then he moved up top, so it didnt really work :/ Looked tidy though.
  3. Unfortuanately, it would have to be Wickham. The thing you have to remember, is that Wickham is only 17, and Korey Smith is 19. Two years is a HUGE difference at that age. I mean, when Korey was 17, no one had heard of him, yet Wickham is already playing most games in the championship, and tearing apart defences. Watching the highlights last night though, his composure and finishing could do with some work, but that will surely come by the time he''s 21. This is nothing against Korey, as, in my opinion, he will become a great player (not that he isn''t one already). However, I think he also needs to work on his finishing, he''s already had a couple of great chances this year that he hasn''t put away. If he adds that to his game, and grabs maybe a goal every 4 or 5 games, he would suddenly become a really top player.
  4. http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/HomeTickets/0,,10373,00.html It doesn''t look like they do a student ticket, but if you''re U21, I''d guess £40-£50 for the pair
  5. There have always been U-21 season tickets available - so it is no mistake, I have had one since the beginning of the season. They just don''t have U-21 casual matchday tickets, and so anyone over 16 has to pay £31 for an adult ticket. Really stupid though, cause the U-21 season ticket is cheaper than a Seniors, yet, if you want to go as an U-21 and upgrade your ticket from a seniors you have to pay the twenty something quid difference between a senior match day ticket and an adult (as I found when trying to take a friend on my dad''s ticket). It really needs sorting out (a U-21/students matchday price, the easiest solution). I was really annoyed when I went down to the ticket office the next day to sort it out, and then they said if I wanted to upgrade my U-21 to an adult for a match day, they''d charge me twenty something quid again! What a stupid system! It''s all a massive con! I got the sense, when talking to the people in the ticket office that it hadn''t all been thought through, just a last minute push to take some more money! Its no wonder we don''t sell out with hair brained schemes like that!
  6. Chris Gunter is suspended, so is it worth maybe throwing on Mcnamee down the left to dominate their second choice right back, who my Forest supporting mate reckons is pretty bad?
  7. Just thought this may be worth mentioning: Former Aston Villa manager Martin O''Neill could be in line for a shock return to management with former club Nottingham Forest. Full story: Sunday Mirror That was on the BBC rumours page today. I realise, it''s hardly the most reputable source, but a bit worrying if it should go on! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/gossip_and_transfers/8934414.stm Is the original story, its about halfway down, first story under other gossip (Sorry I can''t work clicky links, but I suppose you can all copy and paste okay!)
  8. For sure, when at the MK Dons game, When Luke Chadwick came over to thank the MK dons fans, Some guy behind me in the Lower Barclay, desperately searching for an insult eventually mustering "You''re... You''re... You''re INJURY PRONE!" Must admit though, It made me laugh my arse off :)
  9. Very good! However, I was a tad dissapointed with the lack of a mention for Lappin! Surely the King of Spain is worth a mention ;) But yeah, put a smile on my face :P
  10. I think people forget that Tom Adeyemi is a full year younger than Korey Smith when they compare them. I mean, who had heard of Korey this time last year? Also, last I heard Tom was suffering growing pains, which is quite common for people his age, especially when they''re ''beefing up'' like Tom has been. I think he''s training for next year in that respect. But yeah, he is a really top prospect I feel.
  11. Totally disagree. Lappin shouldn''t be dropped. Him and Drury compliment each other perfectly. Although he''s not amazing going forward, he''s not too bad, but he gives us a great balance. Not all players can have the flair of say a Mcnamee. He always is winning the ball back for us in the middle of the park, and is the basis for alot of Drury''s overlapping runs. His left foot is decent, and his short passing is alot better than that of say Russell, who gave the ball away far too many times for my liking on Saturday.
  12. Korey Smith is a full year older than Adeyemi, so I think its a tad harsh to be comparing them. After all, who had heard of Korey Smith this time last year? However, a loan out to league one may do him the world of good. I also think that Lappin can do a job for us next year. Nobody else can offer us the defensive cover from midfield that he can. He add balance to our midfield. I think people forget that we can''t just play all out attack, and Lappin is vital to the formation we play, and he can definately play a part in our squad next year, if only even as cover. Other than that, I think we could do better than Rose at cover for left back, maybe sign a younger left back to slowly integrate in, as Drury is aging. We could use another striker to provide competition. Our midfield I think is solid enough, with maybe another wide player to be signed to add variety, an out and out left winger, to give an option to the formation we play, rather than lappin in a 4-4-2. We could maybe do with another rightback, as I dont think Russell Martin will make huge inroads in the championship, else he would have still been with Peterborough, and I''m not sure about Spillane, how good he is, and if he''s injury prone. Centre backs seem fine, four solid, if not spectacular centre backs. As for goalkeepers, Declan impressed me on Saturday, and he''s certainly a talent. I''d love to have Fraser back, but if that doesn''t happen, I''d like us to sign an experienced goalie, and hope we dont shift out our young talent , like we did Joe Lewis. Other than that, I think we should be aiming for mid table next season, and maybe play offs a year or two after. To sum up, Santa, I''d like a GK, RB, LB, LM, and a Striker please!
  13. Pisses me off. No one seems to remember that Ferdinand was banned for not turning up to a drugs test, numerous times. The probable reason for that is clearly that he was guilty. Yet some how he''s in the running to be England Captain. Dwayne Chambers isn''t even allowed to represent his country for not passing a drugs test. Why should Ferdinand be captain?
  14. To be fair to the lad, I did read this on BBC sport live transfer feed. Don''t see why he''s getting so much stick. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8484330.stm (sorry I don''t know how to do links) 1145: Another reminder about the BBC''s new regional Monday night football show Late Kick Off. Why not watch it tonight as you relax from the Transfer Deadline Day drama? Speaking of drama, over to our friends at Late Kick Off (East): ''''Norwich''s midfield maestro Wes Hoolahan is being linked to a £2.5m move to Hull City IF the Tigers decide to offload Stephen Hunt to Wolves for £5m." Well maybe he reworded it a bit... But still... Cut him some slack
  15. A possible solution to our debt ;) Great idea from the board :P
  16. I thought, in all honesty, it was a clear red. He went over the top, and their guy was lucky to not have a broken leg. A moment of madness. If a Brentford player had of done it to Holt, we''d be hounding the ref if he didn''t give a red
  17. Today, I thought Chris Martin put in a good shift. Better than usual, maybe the latest pressure for his place egged him on, but I thought he chased down well today. I was impressed
  18. I''m 90% sure it was mine. ''Simon Lappin, King of Spain, King of Spain, King of Spain! Simon Lappin, King of Spain, He looks Spanish! '' Thats what I was singing in the Lower Barclay, and it sounded about right :P
  19. Nah, it was: Simon Lappin, King of Spain, King of Spain, King of Spain! Simon Lappin, King of Spain, He looks Spanish!
  20. I went last night, and me and a couple of my mates are trying to get to all of the games so we can have claimed to see the whole cup-run (assuming we win :P)
  21. I''m reserving my judgement on Maric. Yes he looked poor yesterday, but that could be expected when he hasnt played in nearly a month.. A good squad player i think he could be. Good cover for Grant
  22. Just watch SSN, and they commented on how more people came for that than to watch Sunderland :D. Top effort
  23. I assumed Gunn''s hasty sacking was to do with the fact to give the new manager time in the window, to bring in new players, and remove any dead wood... However, he has done nothing other than realease Stefanovic (assuming a deal hasn''t been completed and not announced yet). Is this a complement to Gunn''s signings, or did he not have any money to spend, in which case, why didn''t we give Gunny more of a chance? Don''t get me wrong, I praise Lambert and his managing skills, but it just got me thinking of how much of a shambles we are..
