1.
Lita v Sibi As the film suggests..."White men can''t jump"
Quality. You are a legend
 2.

Marshall Otsemobor   Omozusi   Kennedy   Drury .   Croft   Clingan   Pattison   Lappin                   .               Hoolahan        .                Lita
What did Bell do wrong?
For me, he gave up too easily against Swansea. Although undeniably talented, I would question his commitment to the cause. Also, I would much prefer to play a natural left footer on the left of midfield. The quality of Lappin''s dead balls is as good as Bell''s and so I would rather give him a go on the left. And Croft offers more, for my liking, on the right.
I see your point.   Don''t you think we lack severe pace down the left with Drury and Lappin though. I didn''t see Bell giving up against Swansea, I saw a player who had been found out by the full back and should have been switched to the right flank early in the 2nd half but wasn''t......even though Pattison and Hoolahan were on the pitch he didnt get moved across.
Agree that Bell should have gone right wing but not convinced about the pace argument when dicussing the absence of Bell. Bell is extremely slow.
 3. Agree. Lita''s aerial ability is underrated. Nuisance to the defence and always a threat. Shame there is no money.
 4.
Its not just about results or points. Those that believe that should go shopping and look at the results on sky sports SO WHAT IS IT ABOUT THEN.............what a totally ridiculous statement.........every supporter at EVERY club wants to see a WIN result with MAXIMUM POINTS. that what success is about...........muppet.
Personally i would rather Norwich City played good football than won with rubbish football. If we started playing like Stoke hate to say but i just couldn''t watch anymore.
 5. The doc is willing to put his body on the line for this club. Willing to jump in front of anything to get a result. Great player, nothing fancy but solid.
 6. If any player should put more effort in it should be Bell. Good on the ball, but very lazy. Seemed to give up against Swansea and doesn''t appear to be up for a battle.
 7.
the sending off should also have bee a penalty in my opinion
Did you watch the game, the tackle was clearly outside the box. With vision like that you might as well train as a referee.
 8.

I think we would - at the very least he''d have been a fantastic option to bring off the bench. Such a shame the club won''t allow him to train with the squad - clearly because he''s better then  most of them.
Yes, we''d at least be in the play-off places if Huckerby was still here.
You are an idiot, how could you possibly say we would be in the playoffs. People are right you forget he was playing under Grant and we were bottom of the league there is no way you can have a logical reason for your opinion. Especially with huckerby''s defensive lack of work we would have bled goals.
 9.

Hucks was a great player, and one i''ve loved watching, but to say he is the greatest is the comment which is wide of the mark! Great going forward but never contributed defensively - I wonder how many goals we could have saved over recent years with a left sided midfielder who supported the full back! Hucks never really did anything in the premiership, and was deemed never good enough to play for his country (bar one appearance for England B). To say he is better than Martin Peters, a world cup winner, is just wrong IMO.
For god''s sake We Want Worthy Back, you really need to get over this. Everyone loves Hucks, no matter how often you piss on everyone''s bonfire, we''re still going to be talking about him for years to come because he was great. This thread was meant to be about players who we miss, something to clear the doom and gloom for a few minutes, and you''ve turned it into an ugly tirade against undesputably our best player of the last decade.
huckerby is by no means undisputebly the best player of the last decade! we''ve had so many better than him. agree with most of WWWB''s points.back on topic though, Crooky would be back in the team if i could choose.
 10.

Tactics - where do we start. Play a left footer right wing and a right footer left wing, that means they will have to cut inside every time and not beat their man on the outside where there should be more room hopefully. This tactic should be employed sparingly as the opponenets will rumble this pretty quickly, and if they do, why not swop the wingers. Hoof the ball down the pitch, another great ploy, especially when both forwards are big enough to play ''Tom Thumb'' in a local panto. Play players out of position, we have had several managers in recent times who like this old chestnut, in fact I would go as far as to say I don''t think Glenn knows what his strongest starting eleven is. The ''Tinkerman'' approach, Ok if you are Chelsea, or a team with a similar depth to your squad, if not forget it. I could go on...
I disagree with this a little bit. The reason Huckerby, Joe Cole, Thierry Henry, etc were so devastating on the opposite wing to their natural foot is because they can A, cut inside and shoot or B, put it back on to their "good" foot and swing a cross in towards the keeper - if you have a man who knows how to run across his Centre Back then Bob''s your uncle - goal. When Rooney is moved to the wing, he''s moved to the left, because he can cause more trouble cutting inside. It''s a tactic that works, old shool "hit the by line and cross it for the big number 9" is out dated in modern football. Personally, I think it will work once we get the full backs overlapping. Properly.
You forget there is no way you can adopt that tactic with Hoolihan, everyone knows he hasn''t got a right foot so cutting in every time loses its surprise. Also all the best teams when they play their wingers on the wrong side, swap them over every five minutes so the defenders don''t know who they are marking and can''t settle. Hoolihan needed to go left wing, and bell didn''t look interested at the end.
 11. I also have spoken to an academy lad who said that at all the training ground free kick practices Lappin scores 9 out of 10 times. He said that Simon is the best set piece man Norwich have, he also said he and Roeder hate each other.
 12. Fair play to defenders like Dejan if you can pass it out brilliant. I still maintain that possibly the best defence i''ve ever known was Arsenal of the mid 90''s. Winterburn Keown Adams Dixon, no nonsense solid as a rock. Effectively a brick wall across the pitch.
 13.
I have to disagree Fabregas, Swansea''s midfield is one of the best in the championship at passing and keeping the ball espesially with a two goal lead, they were very comfortable on the ball if we had put doc upfront with 15 mins to go i very much doubt the score would have as low as 4-2 they would have passed the ball straight through us. Everytime we went forward they were causing us problems on the counter even with men at the back..... but I do have to agree with you about changing Bell and Hoolahan it just didn''t work.
Whats the point in limiting the damage when only one goal behind surely especially at home you have to go for the win or in our position yesterday go for a point possibly sacrificing a extra goal for goal difference. I think most fans would have been happier if we had made a positive step and tried to get points even if it did mean we still lost. If we don''t throw people forward when we are at home then no wonder we never get anything away.
 14. I have defended Roeder all season but today i just think he needs to go. Refused to change Bell and Hoolihan around even when all the Swansea team knew they were always cutting in. Didn''t stick Doc up front until last 2mins. Needed to be up there for 15, maybe we lose 4-2 or maybe we pick up a point but he just stood there doing nothing.
 15. Not able to view his tur opinions through fear of losing his academy job again. Don''t see the point of him airing opinions that he doesn''t believe, might as well have someone not connected to the club who can say what they think
 16. After 60mins both full backs knew that they were cutting in every time. When good teams put wingers wrong sides like United with Ronaldo and Giggs they keep swapping every 5 or 10 mins so that the full backs don''t know who they are marking.
 17. Then theres Darren ''never passed, never defended, lost the ball and stood there hands on hips while the left back was exposed. Probably cost us more goals than he created'' Huckerby
 18. You both can write rude words well done. Just because i don''t love Hucks (Never was he a legend). Grow Up
 19. I would have thought, they would only let Legends get in. Apparently they have lowered their standards
 20.
come on you fickle bunch of wayne kerrs - too shy to chant the hux now???
How about people like you got over him leaving, support the current Norwich players and maybe we could inspire the players to put in good performances and pick up points.
 21. Barclayman maybe if you read the rest of the thread you would have known that everyone was saying Huckerby should have stayed to be an impact player off the bench. Without the space on the wage bill we wouldn''t have signed anyone so all we would have would be Eagle or Pattison
 22. I agree with Mook. Huckery wouldn''t have wanted to be a supersub and frankly we couldn''t afford to keep him as a supersub. His wages were too high and who would be starting ahead of him without the wage space his departure freed up, Robert Eagle bet huckerby would have loved playing secong string to Eagle.
 23. The way i have seen it over the last few games is that Lita is more of an aerial threat than Sibierski at both set pieces and from long balls. In essence Lita could double as a target man as well. Thus allowing lupoli a start and with him and Lita could tear defenses apart.
