1. Is it because we usually kick towards the Barclay in the first half, and the game plan is to keep it tightish until half time and then step on the gas?  Therefore more goals in the second half, when we are usually kicking towards the River End. That begs the question of why we usually kick towards the Barclay in the first half.
 2. At first glance I thought this thread was about 43% of Arsenal fans being gay.  Do I need new glasses?
 3. They look like relegation fodder IMO even without a 10 point deduction.
 4.
In the office we''ve come up with Jumpers for Goalposts (my favourite), Goal-aoke (awful but Vince loves it), Video Killed The Football Star, and Play It Again Fans. If any of you feel like re-creating the goals from Tuesday night and sending us the video footage over the weekend that would be appreicated too!
"Play it Again Fans" - definitely.
 5. The frustrating thing is that we don''t need to spend multimillions.  We''ve got the makings of a very good squad that doesn''t have quite enough strength in depth to be really competitive over 49 games.  Another million would make an enormous difference. We won''t find out what our financial situation really is until the Annual Report comes out in the autumn.
 6.

How do you know if Worthy has or hasn''t spoken to Sutton or his representitive? If Sutton is as good as you all say he is then he would have been signed by another club by now.
Because he told me. The club havent even returned his calls.
Point of information.  Kathy, who do you mean by "he" - Worthy, Sutton or his agent?
 7. I''ve no idea what he means by "only half a million better off". The Annual Report shows a net profit of over £7 million for the Prem season. Even after wiping out the previous season''s loss, there was still £3 to £4 million left over.
 8. There''s another story about Cloughie and Martin O''Neill when he was a young player at Forest. Martin was playing wide right, but he was of the opinion that central midfield was his best position, and he told Cloughie so.  Cloughie said "Here''s two shirts, No.7 and No.12.  Take your pick." or words to that effect. So, for the best part of ten years, Martin ploughed up and down the right wing.  When he came to Norwich he played in central midfield and produced the football of his life, captaining NI to the quarter finals of the 1982 World Cup.  He was quite correct when he said he was better in central midfield.  But Forest needed him to play wide right, and in doing so they won the European Cup - twice.
 9. It also suggests that we the fans think the club is "awash with cash".  No we don''t, but the real point is that we don''t need to spend untold millions.  We have the makings of a very good squad that is just one or two players, or about £1.5 million, short.  With this year''s parachute payment it can''t be an impossible sum to find, unless we really are in financial trouble.  And if it saves us forking out for emergency loans it makes financial as well as footballing sense.  Prudence and ambition don''t have to be mutually exclusive, Neil. ND also says we were "only half a million better off" after promotion last time.  I haven''t a clue what he means by that, but according to the Annual Report we made a net profit of over £7 million, and still had around half that amount left even after wiping out the previous year''s loss.  What concerns me more though is the implication that if a year in the Prem left us only half a million "better off", is promotion really worthwhile?   He also has another bleat about agents.  Agents are like fleas in a dosshouse.  They''re parasites but they go with the territory.  Until the FA fumigates the place nothing''s going to change.  Neil, we don''t like it any more than you do, but it''s the same for every club so just get on with it.
 10. What REALLY gets me is when people wait until the second half has just started and then want to go out.  I thought that''s what half time was for.
 11. A good coach does not necessarily make a good manager, and vice versa. A lot of people seem to think the two roles are more or less interchangeable. Can the Pinkun do a piece illustrating who does what?
 12. I used to hope we would sign Giuliano Grazioli while Tano was here, just for the joy of listening to Roy Waller''s commentary . . .
 13. I''d like a cup run as well, but realistically our lack of strength in depth (plus a possible 49 league games a season) means that we have to prioritise. On a more positive note, it gives fringe players an opportunity to play proper games.
 14. It''s pretty clear that our squad lacks strength in depth, despite having some of the best players in this division. If we don''t field a full strength side against Torquay, personally I haven''t got a problem with that. (I''m intending to go to the game btw.)    What do you think?
 15. What exactly are you hoping for Sussex?  As if we didn''t know.
 16. The original Positivity Challenge thread is meant to be an antidote to the torrent of compulsively negative garbage normally found on this board.  It IS the alternative view!
 17.
Let us just picture the scene outside the main reception at carrow road next tuesday at 10pm following a poor performance against PNE and defeat at Elland Road this saturday not forgetting Chris SUTTON scoring on his debut at scum headquarters.X certificate stuff and not for the faint hearted. If this unthinkable scenario becomes reality there will only be one person to blame.Answers on a postcade please addressed to The Chief Executive NCFC
. . . then do yourself a favour and don''t think about it darling.  Until it happens it''s a figment of your imagination.
 18.
What''s better ?  Having a board that''s attempting to be self-sufficient, grow the business and protect it from takeover, or the Man U approach of listing on the stock exchange, only to have massive protests when a big fish swallows you whole ?
There''s no need to go from one extreme to the other, blah3.   There are sections of the local business community for whom association with a successful football club would boost their own enterprise, thus benefitting the area as a whole.  It''s a virtuous spiral. A degree of self-sufficiency is fine, but if our burden of debt becomes too great that''s when we are vulnerable to predators.
 19.
what is it with Worty''s obsession with signings not ever being upto our required levels of fitness? The prem starts a week after the championship but our new signing isn''t fit enough as he has been pacing himself for peek condition 7 days later. I can''t believe its that an exact science
According to the press report, Man City did not have him training flat out because he was likely to be sold and they didn''t want to risk injury.  Also there would be no point in picking him for friendlies if he was not going to feature.
 20.
there is no point joining because i have it won already
A true champion defends his title Chris.
 21.
I think they have investors. Norwich need more investors, not the fans I mean people with real financial clout. Do we not court investors?
Makes you wonder doesn''t it?  I get the distinct impression that our board is a closed shop.  Sizeable investors would naturally want a say in the running of the club.  IMO the board have borrowed too much money to invest in schemes that they hope will provide income from other sources, so that they won''t have to invite "outsiders" onto the board.  It ain''t healthy.
 22.
What is unbelievable Mystic is that you currently have only five posts to your name. Are you an imposter?
Well spotted Rude Old/Linda.  No, its me but I''m being pissed about by my ISP.
 23. In addition to those already mentioned . . . 1.  Martin Hunter 2.  An almost fully fit squad (looks like we''ve passed the injury bug on to Leeds) 3.  There seems to be a bit less bull**** from the boardroom, in comparison to previous years
 24.

point 4-that is my point-that worthington has no qualms about thornes age or fitness or he would have let him go this summer! point 6 - huckerby? i think you may have been drinking that mushroom tea again, because i dont quite think darren huckerby is quite as big as name as chris sutton
point 6: Sutton is not such a big name as he thinks he is.  His reputation stems largely from his partnership with Alan Shearer.  Hucks is an England B international.  Sutton is not, because he thought a B cap was beneath his dignity.
Ah but your forgetting that Chris has scored more runs for Drayton than Hucks.
Cheers Pete.  At last, a ''FACT'' that no one can possibly argue with . . . or have I spoken too soon?
 25.
We have bought a well respected young player ? no we have bought a Man City reserve lets not get carried away .As for McKenzie well carthorse may be a bit strong , but he would be better suited a division lower .
If as you say, Wnam, McKenzie is better suited to a division lower, then full credit to Worthy for bringing out the best in him. (If you think I''m trying to wind you up Wnam, you''re dead right.) btw, have you renewed your season ticket?
