1. Replace Crofts and Fox with Smith and Hughes and it wouldn''t be a bad team
 2. The motoring offence was in a Peugeot 307 - Holt failed to notify the Police who was driving.  He must be the only footballer around driving a 307!  Perhaps Mrs Holt was already on 9 points............
 3. I can''t necessarily claim to know more about football than you, but I think that it''s fair to say that the managers of the 23 clubs in the Championship do.  They all had the chance to sign Doc in the summer.  They didn''t even have to pay a fee.  None of them did.
 4.
Re Smudger''s remarks -- "Our midfield did not win a tackle all night. Missed Russell and Korey badly!" -- I also feel we really missed the Doc. The two CH''s allowed Watford too much space, and that has to be resolved asap!!
We didn''t miss Doc.  He would have been just as exposed as Ward and Nelson, probably even worse..  What we missed was the player sitting in front of them.  I hate to start the Docherty argument again, but during the summer, 23 Championship managers had the opportunity to sign him.  None of them did.
 5.

Draw a fair reflection?! You were diabolical, second to every ball, one-paced, square at the back, lightweight on the deck and in the air... need I go on? A severe reality check for you boys.
Spot on... [Y] Our midfield did not win a tackle all night.  Missed Russell and Korey badly!
Thank God.  I was beginning to think I had been at a different game to everyone else. The reason that we got away with 2 very average centre halves last season was that Russell was in front of them.  He wasn''t there last night and they were exposed as a result.  Most people on here seem to be raving about Crofts, and although he scored a good goal he was outplayed by an average Watford midfield and his mistake led to the first goal.  Bring back Korey Smith as soon as possible. I can''t help but think that last year''s starting eleven would have done better.
 6. Official - Of or relating to an office or a post of authority (Concise Oxford English Dictionary) Sorry Wiz - you''re not an official so you cannot make official announcements. Morty probably has acted in an official capacity at some time in his life and I am therefore prepared to accept his official judgement that you are a cock
 7. Radio 2 interviewed a vermin/bug expert today and these bugs were mentioned.  They are prevalent at this time of year and are strongly attracted to anything yellow, but they''re only a problem in daylight.  Apparently there''s nothing you can do about it.  It''s probably a good thing that we''re playing Watford at night. There''s another sort of vermin in the City tomorrow.  Strange accents and very good at nicking anything they can lay their hands on.
 8.
Fully support the Watford fans view - £ 31 is ridiculous for a second division football match - somewhere around £ 20 is probably reasonable , We now have no grounds for complaint at any other clubs prices at all and in fact can;t be surprised if we find that other clubs reciproate the pricing levels , local clubs have for a long time moaned about lack of crowds , well if NCFC charge as they are - increase in ground food and drink prices as well , you may find clubs such as Wroxham , Norwich United , Dereham etc gain fans who prefer to pay £ 8 - 10 and see a decent level of football Ludicrous costs now to watch preofessional football , out of my league completely
Dereham charged £5.00 for Ridgeons football last season. As regards the £31 charge - you need to make your minds up.  There has been constant moaning about a lack of investment in our club, but when supporters are asked to pay the amount needed to provide a competitive team, the moaning starts. You should remember that season tickets were available interest free over 12 months.  Mine works out at around £16 per game.  Several people have suggested that teams will now charge more when we visit them - surely that would just be punishing their own fans?  I seem to remember that it is against league regulations to charge visiting supporters more than home supporters. Pay up, or shut up.
 9. Not named in today''s squad - does anyone have any information?
 10. Perhaps it should be changed to incorporate a club motto. On The Ball City is the oldest football song still being sung in the world.  Shouldn''t that fact be recognised in our badge?
 11.
Iwan Roberts talking about a City player "He may not be the greatest on the ball but he has a lot of energy, closes people down and will run through a brick wall ..." Who does that sound like? Andy Hughes? Actually it''s......Andrew Crofts. Be afraid, be verty afraid!
Be careful - I got slagged off for suggesting on here that Crofts couldn''t pass the ball after watching him at Dereham.  It now appears that Iwan Roberts doesn''t know anything about football either......
 12.

yep . decent crowds at bot hlegs of the final and replay and semi final - practically no players from either team made it into either our or Evertons first team ( except Mark Farrington - who played for them but got signed by us and was an awful player )
Well, I don''t think that Louis Donowa, Tony Spearing and Jeremy Goss did do too badly for themselves afterwards. Although I agree that no-one reached great heights.
Louie Donawa played about 18 months on and off in our first team , Tony spearing was a second choice full back and Jeremy Goss had a good six months , but I believe holds the record for the longest time to get to 100 appearances - none were ever first choice for a long period of time and had Goss not scored against Munich he would be remembered as a very poor bit part player
The players who went on to play for the first team were Spearing, Goss, Donowa, Clayton (including the League Cup semi final at Ipswich),  Godbold and Crowe (both once only I think) and Rigby.  Mark Metcalfe looked like he would have a first team career but was badly injured. That was the best youth team I have seen at Norwich
 13.
Cliff Richard was born in India
So was Kevin Keelan.  And Gandhi
 14. Try  telling the Dereham centre forward that it was a friendly.  Nelson tried to kill him!In answer to many criticisms on the post (including the twit who says I encourage players to get it forward at every opportunity), I agree that you can''t draw many conclusions from the Dereham game.  It is reasonable to assume, however, that if Crofts (for example) struggles to control and pass a ball against Dereham he won''t be able to do so against Championship teams, whatever the temperature.
 15. Ruddy had nothing to do.Fox played in the Russell role in the first half and wasn''t particularly impressiveCrofts was very poorNelson made one appalling late tackleHolt and Martin looked OK up front but Wes struggledSecond hald was a completely new team but Dereham kept the same players and they started to struggle in the heatBest second half performances were Korey Smith (at right back) and Steven Hughes who both gave us much more energy going forward.Josh Dawkins was the other impressive performer.
 16. Colin Jackson used to jump the hurdles left foot first (if you get my meaning) so I think she''s wasting her time there
 17.
I will be specific. When Ali stopped playing possum and knocked George Foreman down against all the odds.
Also one of the great sporting quotes.  Foreman had been pounding Ali for 6 or 7 rounds and eventually his arms dropped.  Ali caught him with a punch and Forman went into a clinch to get his breath back.  Ali whispered to him - "Hell of a time to get tired, George"
 18. Chanting "come and have a go if you think you''re hard enough" at the West Ham fans.  Then shitting yourself when they did.
 19.
And there was me thinking football was invented in 1992
To think there are posters on here who have never experienced the joy of slipping on the piss on the Barclay terrace
 20. Here''s 2 to start http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sAZJtl6Qz0&NR=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nkd3HWQu32Q
 21. Russell is a far superior player to Doyle.  He''s the main reason we got away with having two donkeys at centre half last season and we missed him when he wasn''t playing. The fact that it''s dragging on would suggest to me that Russell is using Leeds to get a better deal out of us.
 22.

This MB has been well dull lately be glad for tomrorow & Thrusday for fixtures maybe a little bit of excitement
[Y]  Ipsh*t 1st game...best them 5:0 and stay at the top of the league...the take the Prem by storm............................well i can dream cant it?[;)]
Yes, you can dream.  You just can''t spell.
 23.
How do you get it up?
I saw a physio with a sore neck last week.  She recommended a massage. I saw the masseuse today - seemed to do the trick for me
 24.
How much are they charging for this one?
All details are on Dereham website - see link at the top of this thread.Tickets are £8.00 - there is a discount for kids etc
