1. The whole Health and Safety thing is a bit of a non-starter anyway.  For instance, if the Jarrold had to evacuate rapidly because of, for instance, fire there would be all sorts of injuries caused by people trying to clamber over rows of seats and tripping over as a result and then being trodden on by those behind them.  Far safer and easier to evacuate an area of terracing where the only thing in the way are a few crush barriers (assuming, of course, some idiot hasn''t erected a huge fence at the front).
 2.
''Nice little Norwich, it`s the taking part that counts, what a lovely little club we have-shame about the team, we`re lucky to have a club, isn`t Delia and her restuarants wonderful?" brigade'' writes Mr Carrow. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. Personally I am totally tired of the '' we have to be in the premiership, such big crowds, just too nice, were so special cos we once beat B.Munich, she should take her pots and pans, infact anyone who doesn''t want her and MWJ hung from the nearest Lamp-post is an apologist'' brigade. Well done HISTON! Third Division South and lets not forget it!
Just as well you think that because the 3rd division is exactly where we''re going to be next season!
 3. Do I think we''re going down?  Too early to give a definite answer to that although it doesn''t look good at the moment (bit of an undestatement).  Do I think we are at significant risk of going down?  Absolutely.
 4.
Sadly Jim, yes.
I can understand why people are thinking this but in my opinion it would turn what is currently an unacceptably poor situation into a potential disaster. If we are barely keeping our financial heads above water on a monthly basis (interest payments on our enormous debt) despite our income stream being as high as it''s ever likely to be in this league, then presumably we''re going to find it nigh on impossible to find the money if playing in the 3rd division.  If we don''t make the payments then I guess we would go bust.  We know from other clubs'' experiences that nowadays the points deduction that goes along with that would mean a further relegation would be almost unavoidable.  Look at Luton - not that many years ago that they were in the top flight (horrible phrase - let''s call it the First Division) and will be playing in the Conference next season.  If we get relegated (as I fear we will) then we could easily be in that situation in another couple of years.
 5.
I cut and pasted the following post from a City fan on the Offy Site:  It''s me genuine belief under this board as is we will continual skirt with relegation season after season.  WHEN (not if) the luck runs out & we get relegated then we''ll pay back Delia as much as possible with all the immediate revenues available & take the bitter pill of recievership & write off the debts, point penalty and start the club over again Not a happy scenario granted but there you go Well do you agree with it? it certainly made me stop and think, I believe there''s some reasonable thought behind such an extreme solution/view............and no, I didn''t write it![:|]
Not sure who is meant when he/she states "we''ll pay back Delia.......".  After all, she and her husband effectively own the Club anyway.  If the Club went bust (which, if we were relegated, is I think entirely possible) then I assume all the external creditors would have to be paid off first.  I very much doubt that there would be anything left after that had been done to repay loans made by Board members.  One thing that I have wondered on occasions - if the worst came to the worst and we did actually go bust, presumably all of the Club''s assets would have to be sold off in an effort to pay off our £19 million of debt.  As we own the ground, does that mean that the ground would be sold?  If that happened it would make the whole concept of "the phoenix rising from the ashes" rather more difficult.
 6. Initially I was a bit surprised that most of the questions were going Roeder''s way and it seemed at the time that the Board were getting off a bit lightly but having thought about it there was probably little point in asking them the same questions over and over again as they''d already answered them.  How are the finances - we''re broke; is there any money for signings in January - no; is there any sign of anyone putting money into the Club or taking it over - no; what are you doing to attract a buyer - we''ve engaged Keith Harris; what is your 5-year plan - we don''t have one, but then again perhaps we do but we''re not going to tell you what it is; what are you going to do to get us out of this mess - don''t know, any ideas? All in all, not a good evening for the Board.
 7. Don''t be silly.  The squad last season was truly awful and, to make matters worse, we''re financially stuffed.  Roeder had no money to work with and had to reduce the weekly wage bill.  He couldn''t afford to buy replacements and the best he could do was to bring in (too many) loan players as at least there was no capital outlay on them.  Unfortunately we still look rubbish on the pitch but, short of clearing out the lot of them and starting from scratch with young, untested youth players and free transfers from the lower leagues, we have no real alternative.  Of course, if we did that it is certain that we''d be relegated and, given that we''re struggling to make our monthly interest payments, that''s probably a recipe for going bust.  Personally I was not impressed by the way Roeder dealt with many of the questions at the AGM and he was, indeed, grossly rude and sarcastic on occasions, but I genuinely think he''s doing the best he can with the pathetic resources he''s been given.
 8. I expect we''re paying a fair bit each week on his wages and considering he''s proved over a long period that he just isn''t up to the job he should be off-loaded as soon as possible.  Don''t care what colour he bleeds or what colour he dyes his hair - he''s just not good enough and frankly, given our fragile financial health, we can''t afford to be frittering away cash on something from which we get no benefit.
 9.
Wow. I agree with a scummer. Bang on, modern football is rubbish.
Modern football is indeed rubbish!  As everyone outside the Premiership knows, it has been gradually destroyed since the formation of that league and the huge amounts of cash from TV deals etc that the clubs in that league get.  The best thing that could happen to English football would be for the "big" clubs (and we all know who they are) to **** off and play in some European "Super League" instead (as that is what they seem to want to do anyway) and then for the leagues in this country to get back to the way they always used to be.  The top flight (we used to call it the First Division) would become far more competitive, the excessive salaries of players would reduce to more sensible levels throughout the league structure and there would be far less chance of clubs going to the wall.  You never know, matches might all kick-off at 3:00 on a saturday once again! Television has ruined football.
 10. He''s been sent off 3 times in the last year for totally avoidable reasons because of insufficient self-discipline.  Because of this he shouldn''t play again and should be sold at the earliest opportunity.
 11.

"If the price is right" is probably the significant point in your post.  Delia and Wynn-Jones want a realistic price for their shares and the new owner would then have to invest a load more to buy our own players.  Do you agree?
Far be it from me to suggest that the underlying purpose of the loan policy is to put off potential investors, and to leave the club in such a mess that it will take years to recover and give D&M the satisfaction of watching us fail . . .
Quite a cynical view Percy....I hope it''s not true!
You and me both Andy!
PS.  So why are we the only club that is using loan players as a substitute for a full squad?  It''s not as though they''re a cheap option, our wage bill is apparently above average for the Championship and no wonder. The expression "scorched earth policy" springs irresistibly to mind . . .
I guess that''s down to the manager, not the board.  They can only provide the funds for the manager to spend as he sees fit.  He clearly felt that we were going to do better on the pitch with loanees than permanent signings......
I''m not so sure.  I can''t help wondering if it''s because the manager was told that the fund for permanent signings was pitifully small but that maybe, just maybe, we could afford to up the monthly wage bill a little if loan players were brought in instead (even if we had to go cap-in-hand to a local businessman to help out).  If this is the case then it is another example of "no real prudence with a woeful lack of ambition" as loan signings are effectively wasted money.  It''s like paying rent every month - despite the monthly outlay you end up with no asset at the end of the loan period in either playing or financial terms.  What''s more, you still have a hole to fill once the loanee has gone back to his own club.
 12. I thought that at an AGM the size of an indidual''s shareholding was irrelevant and it was basically down to numbers of hands in the air (or proxy votes for those not attending).
 13. My God, what a mess this club is in.  A squad that is virtually worthless financially with half of it made up of loan players and which seems incapable of playing acceptable football more than one match in 4.  Despite being one of the best supported clubs in the Championship and having an income stream as high as it''s ever likely to get in this league we have a debt of enormous proportions that, although apparently secured and serviceable, means on a month by month basis we are only just keeping our heads above water.  A board of directors from whom nothing is ever heard other than from the salaried employee of the club who is their mouthpiece and from which 2 members walked away recently for reasons unknown. An apparent lack of any long-term plan - if there is one, I''ve never heard it being publicised or discussed by members of the Board or the CE.  And seemingly no money whatsoever available for transfers which, given we only own half the squad, must be a major cause for concern. I find it truly alarming that there seems to be an acceptance amongst those in power at Carrow Road that we should be happy to settle for what we''ve got and that survival as a Championship club is a worthy aim for us.  Have they forgotten the history of this club over the last 40 years?  Finishing 3rd, 4th and 5th in the top flight; winning the Milk Cup; playing in Europe (would have done it several times were it not for the ban on English clubs); 2 league cup finals in the 70s; 2 FA Cup semi-finals (not counting 1959 of course because that was before we were any good); being an established and respected top flight club for many years (yes, we got relegated 3 times but came straight back up on each occasion); beating the best clubs in the land on a regular basis and not being particularly surprised when we did; and always having players of true class in the squad.  Don''t tell me that those sort of achievements are now beyond clubs of our size - about half of the premiership is made up of clubs similar to Norwich.  Yet without any significant investment where will we be this time next year?  If we manage to cling-on to our place in the Championship we will have lost all of the loan players and there will be no money to buy any permanent replacements.  Consequently, even if we managed to scrape together 11 players each week, the quality would be even worse than it is now and relegation would be even more likely than it currently appears.  However, if we don''t improve this season than, make no mistake, relegation is a very real possibility.  If that happens our income stream would inevitably reduce, our crowds (and therefore season ticket sales) would drop, the loan players wouldn''t be replaced, the squad would be even worse than it is now, and I suspect we would find it increasingly difficult to make our monthly interest payments.  If we don''t meet our interest payments, we know what happens in those situations - look at Leeds, Luton, Bournmouth, Rotherham etc.  Given the stringent points deductions that go along with that, a further relegation would be almost unavoidable. Continuing as we are, although perhaps acceptable to some members of the Board in the short term, simply isn''t a viable scenario.  Selling-up by the current majority shareholders implies that the Club is actually really worth something - however, if the worst happens then presumably the value of the Club would be minimal and shares would be virtually worthless anyway.  There needs to be an acceptance on the part of those who perhaps have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo for the time being that the longer they let the current situation drag on the more likely it is that our club is going to hit rock bottom.  There seems to be a lack of realism in the Boardroom - there has to be a willingness to compromise, perhaps very significantly, if any potential takeover is ever going to be a possibility. Acting in the best interests of the Club is what is required.  Regardless of previous difficulties in years gone by I firmly believe that this Club is in as dangerous a state as it has ever been.
 14. I said last season, after watching him get sent off at Coventry in his first match back after suspension (having been sent off in his previous match as well), that his lack of self-discipline made him a liability and that he should never play for the club again.  I stand by that.
 15. How can anyone not believe in Gordon?  I''ve followed enough messiah''s in my time and He''s the one!  So what if He''s not right all the time, or even some of the time.  OK, so actually He was never right if we''re being picky.  Nonetheless, He''s good enough for me.  After all, He may be deliberately getting it wrong just to test our faith.  Woe betide the unbelievers - you will roast in eternal hellfire unless you change your ways and follow the one true light.
 16.
Typical for this message board, people swearing and having a go a Delia without all the facts...of course she''s in the wrong, it couldn''t be the billionaire businessman as he''s willing to pay £20m for players.  He could do no wrong. (Cue the insults) "Peter Cullum and the directors of Norwich City Football Club plc have been unable to agree a mutually acceptable basis upon which they can meet the stated objectives of Peter Cullum whilst still ensuring compliance with the current legal and contractual obligations of the Club" When you look at the above statement it throws up more questions than answers, and to me it throws up more questions on PC''s side.  Most importantly, what are the legal obligations that can''t be met with his proposed takeover? While I would love the club, that I have been a season ticket holder of since I started working, to have £20m for players; all along I have been questioning the deal.  I didn''t think that it was right that he uses headlines to push it without any detail.  Even now people don''t know if it''s £20m + stake in club or the £20m for players is what gives him a stake in the club.  And before anyone says, it''s fine saying that now the deal has collapsed - check my previous posts.
Although we may never know all the details, I got the strong impression from the statements in the EDP etc that the offer was £20 million for players but that was it with no more for shares etc.  If that was the case then presumably the expectation was that the current majority shareholders (and potentially all shareholders for that matter) would have handed over their shares for absolutely nothing.  Whilst I am as disappointed as everyone else that our "little" club is now going to contine being a "little" club, this offer was highly unlikely to succeed.  We''re simply not in that much of a desperate situation that all shareholders would be willing to give away their shares for nothing.
 17. The "Cullum Stand".  The "Towergate Stand".  Wouldn''t care what it was called if PC found the money to do it.
 18.
da best thing u can do is ignore ok
Fair enough but do you have to use irritating "textspeak"?  I much prefer the definite article to be spelt "the" rather than "da".  Call me an old traditionalist if you like but it really doesn''t take that much effort to compose a sentence using correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.
 19.

This has got to be one of the most disgusting, stupid threads in the history of the Pink ''Un - and the fact that Mr Chops is serious shows the depravity this board has sunk too and the sheer idioctic, absent minded tosspot that Mr Chops is. Wiz''s support is just another nail in his already well buried coffin - you, sir, are disgusting. Robert Mugabe is the head of one of, if not the most, tyrannical regimes in power. He is responsible for one of the most shocking and brutal campaigns of violence and death against his own people in the history of the earth - and here you are comparing him to Delia Smith? Grow up you bunch of idiots and show some compassion for those that Robert Mugabe has intimidated, injured and killed instead of diluting their desperate situation in this vile and disgraceful manner. And in case you have been living in a bloody cave these last six months, Robert Mugabe lost the last election, forcing through a recount by bribery, intimidation and violence and then forcing the electorate to vote for him by a similar campaign of violence, intimidation and murder against any who would support the opposition. He also forced the opposition party themselves into hiding, preventing any meetings, rallies and other political groupings. You clearly don''t have any idea what you''re talking about as well as no compassion for what is one of humanity''s most desperate situations. You are a sick, sick individual.
And you MM are a total prized tit!. No where did I actively say I support Mr C, I just went along with his obvious ironic post, and if you and others of your blinkerd. PC obsessed kind, are too damn sensitive and thick to grasp that, then its not Mr C or my fault!. Live with it!.
It''s got nothing to do with being PC (I have no time for politically correct nonsense) but everything to do with being grossly insulting and blatantly offensive as well as being in very poor taste.
 20. And as for "First Wizard" with his weazly sniggering snide response, well that just about sums him up.  You should both be ashamed of yourselves.  You''ve crossed the line in the sand I''m afraid.  No respect at all for either of you from now on.
