1. My thoughts are that Martin and MacDonald will make the 25 man squad, Wilbraham might and Daley and Johnson definitely won''t. The thing with the 25 man squad is that under 21s don''t need to be in it. For us this means Dawkin, Smith, Adeyemi, Ball, Francomb, Rudd and Steer with professional contracts. I''d guess whether they are loaned out will depend on the cover ahead of them. BTW who was the last academy product to reach 30 goals total for city (at all)? Bellemy?
2. I''d much rather have Snodgrass than Gradel. My feeling is that Gradel is a right-sided, better version of MacNamee, where as Snodgrass is a right-sided, possibly better version of Surman. I''d also expect them to have the same problems/success fitting into a midfield involving Hoolahan. Especially if/when we get Bennett, we would have more use, and more success with Snodgrass. I''m not sure I get the we must have pace thing: what we must have is a way to score. We won''t do well if we try to cover every possible way to score and end up as a cheap version of whats already there, because those that are already there will do it better. If we go up with a coherent team which does what it does very very well, we have a much better chance.
3. I make it as these guys for the 25 man squad: Ruddy / ? R.Martin/? Barnett/? Whitbread/Ward Tierney/Drury Crofts/Snodgrass Fox/? Surman/Lappin Hoolahan/Bennett Holt/Morrison/Wilbraham Jackson/Vaughan/MacDonald/C.Martin With Rudd/Steer/Francomb/Ball/K.Smith/Adeyemi/Dawkin as the under 21s And Hughes/Tudur Jones/S.Smith/Johnson/Daley/MacNamee not making it. So that leaves: DCM, CB, RB and GK. Of those I think RB and CB could well be combined. Of course the 7 players in may be a smoke screen - 7 could well be the number going into the 25man squad, which wouldn''t include the likes of Lansbury or Pacheco.
4. This is a thought that was prompted by the race row and noticing how we have a team that is majority English, and indeed, majority white. This is I think a coincidence, although one caused by what I think is the real factor. What we do have is a team that is entirely, 100%, native speakers of English. I reckon that this is actually a deliberate policy. Players that speak the same language are more likely to bond with each other which should create a more together feel in the squad and better team spirit and so are more likely to play for each other - as evidenced in our performances. So what do other people think? Deliberate policy to aid team building or coincidence?
5. Right, so clearly we are all bored, with no real rumours to go on. Thus I feel its time for an alternative look at which players to sign. Last year we clearly had a policy of "look at their surname, do we already have one? If so sign them". This year we seem to be looking at initials: We already have: CM - Chris Martin. CMD - Cody MacDonald And are looking at: CMS - Craig Mackail-Smith. So I would suggest: 23 year old Burnley midfielder: Chris McCann - CMC 20 year old Wigan striker: Callum McManaman - CMM If anyone else has any others, I reckon it''d be more interesting that the endless "who would you rather have, Cody or X" threads.
6. If you offered me "in with a chance of satying up on the last day" I''d take it.
7. Another person on the waiting list due to the not knowing if they will be living sufficiently locally to go. I''m rather regretting waiting to have the money before trying to buy though, as by the looks of it, I''m quite high up (mid/late march).
8. I am writing him off totally. He''ll score no goals, get sent off early in every match and a wayward shot will put a knock out a fan in row Z of the Jarrold to much national laughter. go on fate. prove me wrong.
9. I''d be in, but after careful examination they turned out to be breeze blocks.
10. I''m worried that the story of our season makes that quite likely against Coventry as well.
11. Morty, why? Thats like asking to be beaten playoff finalists.
12. Thursday - Monday 4 days. Saturday - Monday 1 day Really?
13. The lack of Jimmy Kebe for reading is interesting to me.
14. Matty Gill. Would be consecutive promotions Conference to Premiership with actually getting promoted at the end of each season Unlike Holt or Jackson, who moved up a league when they changed club.
15.
Errr no. McNally has nothing to lose by moving on (a la Doncaster) whereas an owner faces residual financial issues and responsibilities. This is my point that nothing has changed at CR whatsoever and we are just two resignations away from being back to square one or worse.Neither McNally nor Paul Lambert have any ongoing loyalties to Norwich... and so it remains ''just a job'' to them. People leave jobs... business owners either SELL or go under.
And we are just one horrific road traffic accident away from not having a team. We are just one megaton nuclear bomb away from not having an inhabitable county. We are just one asteroid strike away from extinction. What was your point again?
16. It is difficult to get the section of the Jarrold near the away support to be that loud, because due to the variable size of the away section, there can be no season tickets holders in it, as the seats cannot be guaranteed for every match. ST holders by their nature go to more matches than non-season ticket holders and so know the words better and find it easier to join in. They are also more confident in the reactions of their neighbours to standing etc, That block means that it is difficult to join in further down the Jarrold, where there are STs, as from that distance the words can be indistinct, making joining in harder and less natural. A possible solution would be to have a block of season tickets that move dependent on the size of the away end*, but that brings its own problems with people not knowing what seat they will be in week to week. *ie Jarrold, ROW E, 17 seats from away end.
17. Jackson may have scored more goals, but Martin gets us more points. If you removed Jackson''s goals we would have 2 less points. (Would have drawn with Boro and still beaten Swansea, Bristol city and Scunny) If you removed Martin''s we would have drawn not won against Barnsley and Derby and lost not draw against Reading and Burnley. This is worth 6 point to us. Just putting it out there.
18. took me a while to remember one and even longer to forget him in the first place.

20. Don''t cha wish your manager was Paul Lambert. Don''t cha wish your manager was Paul Lambert. Don''t cha, Don''t cha? Don''t cha wish your manager was Paul Lambert. Don''t cha wish your manager was Paul Lambert. Don''t cha, Don''t cha? Tune being the obvious one.
21. I can top both School and America - I''m in a job interview.
22. I''m not sure that I get this, "its just banter thing". Sure, we all have banter with our mates. We may even continue the same banter when they aren''t present. But Gray and Keys aren''t mates with Massey. She is someone they don''t know. See the difference?
23. Its only 46k in chases favour adjusted for inflation. [185k in 1996 = 260k in 2010]
