1. What the hell is going on with the quotes!? Any ideas?
2.

Gutted. Somehow I''m still clinging on to the fact that we might stay up though the possibility of that becomes less likely as we show our inconsistency each week. I''m just praying that Barnsley cock it up and we pull two good results out of the bag. Though I''m worried that this has now flattened the players, as well as us fans.
Let''s hope so Nutty. I''m meant to be going back to Uni a week today...I can''t decide whether to delay it 36 hours and go to the Reading game Monday night.... Barnsley could cock it up Hoolahoop or they could cock it up for Plymouth.
3. The majority of the fans there today were either away season ticket holders, or have 10 away stubs. These fans follow our team up and down the country, and the majority I suspect, are also season ticket holders. These are our hardcore fans, and I for one, salute them. If these hardcore fans were applauding Delia at the final whistle it only justifies the fact that the lot of you on here that bleat on about Delia ''Satan'' Smith are really in the minority, and not the majority as you''d like to think.

5.
So what. Our away support always sits down as well. As annoying as that is.
Not strictly true, I stood up for the full 90 at QPR.
6. Good young blood that wants to play for the club, and has the potential to do a job and maybe more for us (unlike many that have pulled the shirt on at some point this season). I am pleased.
7. I am so tempted but I just can''t bring myself to sit amongst the scummers in silence while City are banging them in. I''m sticking it out with Chris Boreham and Mr Sit on The Fence on Radio N.
8. 1. Goal Line Technology. Just whether the ball has crossed the line for a goal, no more. 2. The stupid rule that makes players leave the pitch and come back on after treatment. What a load of tosh that is.
9. Our allocation when we go down there is usually their whole stand, which I remember rightly is around 4,000 so I shouldn''t think there''ll be too much trouble getting hold of them provided you get them on the first day of general sale.
10. I think Mooney is pretty handy but I''d really like to see McDonald given a bit of a stint along side Lee. Maybe if we can sign Lee over the summer we can give them some time together during friendlies. I think Lee''s experience and know-how in the air would compliment McDonald''s tenacity and fresh blooded hunger perfectly.   Anyhow, my ratings are as follows: Marshall - 7. Made one hell of a save to keep us 1 up, though needs to command his area more. Semmy - 7. A lot better than I''ve seen of him recently. Shacks - 9. Didn''t miss a thing. Absolutely superb at the back - a credit to the shirt. Doherty - 8. Superb also but Shacks positional sense and covering for his full back gives him the extra mark. Bertrand - 8. Definitely one of his better games of late, had their right winger is his pocket all game and offered us an option going forwards. Carney - 5. First half was absolutely appalling. Seems to take far too long in making decisions. However, second half got a bit better. Clingan - 8. Superb. Again. Really worked hard today, and his tracking back was good - I also love it that he faces the Barclay while On The Ball City is being sung before a game - what a legend. Russell - 7. Worked hard but still doesn''t have that touch of class that Clingan possesses. Gow - 8. Very tidy with his feet and worked space for himself a few times to get a shot off. I''m sure the shot he tried to bend round the keeper in the first half was on its way in until it struck their defender on the shoulder. Very dangerous going forwards. Mooney - 7. I thought he played ok. Showed some nice touches and was involved in a lot of City''s forward play. Worked ever so hard. Lee - 9. Absolutely awesome. Couldn''t ask any more - dominant in the air, chucked himself about and nearly scored what would have been goal of the season. Sign this guy up ASAP.
11. Barnsley certainly aren''t out of the woods yet, and neither are Plymouth entirely. Barnsley v Swansea, 15:00 Reading v Barnsley, 15:00 Coventry v Barnsley, 19:45 Barnsley v Wolverhampton, 15:00 Plymouth v Barnsley, 13:15   I feel as deflated and depressed as anyone on here at the moment but it''s in our hands. The games just get bigger and bigger as we get towards the end of the season but this is going down to the wire. We''re not down just yet. If we win on Monday and Forest lose it''s right back on it''s head again. We mustn''t forget Barnsley either, their run-in, though one game longer, isn''t pretty. I don''t fancy them to take anything of Reading, Coventry or Wolves, and can see them getting very little out of Plymouth on the last day. There''s sure to be another twist in this, I just pray it''s in our favour.
12.

This is something that really bugs me about Archant, every Norwich article refers to a ''Star'' We haven''t got any ''Stars'', we have ''Players''. On Lee Croft:-  "But after a full week of training, the former Manchester City star, who is out of contract at the end of the season" - Jonathan Redhead Now, im no journalist, Lee Croft has ever been a ''Manchester City Star'', he was nothing but a youth team player that got a few games and then got sold to a championship team. If you called Robinho a ''Manchester City Star'' you could probably justify that.  Thats not the only sensationalist journalism though is it? On Korey Smith: "the City boss believes there''s more to come from his midfield dynamo" - When has Bryan Gunn ever called Korey Smith ''his midfield dynamo?'' This club doesnt have any stars, you probably could have called Huckerby a Norwich star for a couple of years, other then that, the phrase is clearly overused.
It''s not really sensational.  It''s "format journalese".  It''s okay if you are talking about most of the Premier League but it certainly devalues the word "star".  In short, it is quite possibly an attempt to big up a fairly mundane story or, dare I say it, put a bit of spin on it.  Should you do that for a local paper?  Probably not. There is a perception that readers think it is boring if you do stuff dead straight.  I personally disagree but it is possibly an old fashioned view.
I used to really hate those teletext headlines: Norwich to loose midfield ace - when Norwich let Jarrett go . . . hardly ever an ace . . . .
Completely agree with this entire thread. Why do the EEN et al title players that were quite frankly dog siht, ''stars'' and ''aces''. I don''t get it, and it''s certainly not representative of the said players'' ability.
13. Deja vue going on here, i''m sure I answered a post identical to this about 10 days ago.
14. The first thing he did when he came on against Sheff Wed was smash their centre back in the side of the head when he went up for a header. That''s exactly what we need. Someone up top to ruffle some feathers and upset people. Sheff Wed back 4 had an easy afternoon until he came on. He HAS to start all of our remaining games if we''re to have a chance. We looked like creating something as soon as he came on.
15. I''ve been umming and arrring about this as I have been injured for the last two months. Though ''they'' reckon I could be kicking a ball again in a couple of weeks so I''d really like to get involved with this - really like the sound of getting a charity involved also.
16. Ha Ha Clarkie!!   Adrian Coote classic "As each goal went in, I thought ''this is just getting worse and worse as each one goes in''" Unbelievable Jeff.
17. saw him at Craven Cottage v Blackburn and can confirm that he is definitely still s**t.
18. The Fat Cat is brilliant, but it''s a bit of a way from the ground. The Coach and Horses is my preferred choice before and after the game. Good food too!
19.
Pink un posters are a digrace.
Don''t forget you''re one of them.
20.

surely it''s quicker to just look on the internet?
True. would of been quicker to type out www.bbc.co.uk/sport[;)]
Would have, not would of. Besides, I know of people that don''t know how to use the internet particularly well that may have also struggled to find out the score of the England game, so why some of you have jumped straight on Ryan''s back is somewhat petulant though sadly reflective of the nature of this message board at times.
21. Re: Shack Attack "embarassed is when your wife comes home and catches you knocking one out over dubious pornography" I am crying! that sentence has made my day!
22. In a room packed full of potential multi-millionaire investors, Mumbles can''t bare to look as Doomcaster introduces the seemingly innocent headline entertainment act of the evening, ''Delia Does Desserts''.
23. He''s one of those players I just cannot stand but would gladly see stick the ball in the net for us. Robbie Blake fits that bill perfectly also.
