[/quote] If that''s aimed at me, what I meant was that the rumour is the most obvious RUMOUR to reprint in the News of the World so simply because it''s listed there, I wouldn''t take it as gospel. I think if the News of the World did run an article saying Kermit the Frog was going to be the next Norwich manager, their standing at being taken seriously would plummit somewhat. And I don''t recall either Ashton or Earnshaw saying they wanted to leave. Ashton stayed for half a season before West Ham offered us £7.5m and, although he had that ridiculous board-sanctioned clause in his contract, Earnie never said anything either.

This isn''t a slur on any of the OPs at all but if I were a writer for the NOTW and wanted to fill my rumour columns, all I''d do would be to trawl the internet and reprint the stories I found there. Aidy and Malky is surely the most obvious rumour to reprint and I wouldn''t read to much into it.

One of my friends trained with Web Team Pete when they were office juniors and they still keep in touch now. He''s told me on good authority that Web Team Pete is going to start blocking these rumours. My made-up best friend works in the job centre and heard that there are 2 people expecting an interview within the next few days. They are Glen Roeder and Adam Sandler! I have other sources that lead me to this concludion as well and it will certainly be happening.
