  1. I love the way AN is blaming the team here! He is the manager who 1 Didnt invest in defence over summer assuming same defence which without Klose struggled badly 2 put on a defender for attacking midfield thus disrupting back formation
  2. Any sports reporter seeing two goals in injury time is going to ask questions and to be fair even Grant Holt agreed that he didnt understand what the hell AN was doing!
  3. Addressing the title of this thread if Klose stays injured and get another say Martin who after all appears to have lost his mind and misplaced how to captain you are left with Turner or youth players such is AN masterclass of summer signings! Maybe should draft striker in as CB oh sorry only two of those plus Laffs , still plenty of midfielders ............
  4. Sorry there is only one person to blame for this and thats the manager , you do not take off an attacking midfielder and put a cb on with minutes left maybe a defensive midfielder, never change a back four in last five minutes unless injuries etc. You just invite more pressure and mess up a back four that have played together for most of the game.
  5. Oh by the way I love the AN said last year did not in anyway scar him for this years encounter. It also shows he has learnt nothing either , last year getting back into game looking better change. This year solid holding out lets panic and change things again! This squad deserve a better manager , to go to Newcastle and score three and lose to two injury time goals is beyond pathetic, oh remind me how many new backs did we buy over the summer! Midfielders midfielders midfielders.....
  6. For me the squad is carrying him not the other way round, anybody who can defend such substitutions at a critical moment is as bad in their judgement as AN. As everybody said you are basically telling the opposition we have given up attacking go for it! If AN must take the blame for this loss , I really struggle to see how AN will get us promoted like Houghton before him the Premier League has ruined his confidence which I doubt he will ever gain again here!
  7. Because we have a manager who is completely clueless, both should have gone this summer and replaced with one or two decent cb . Instead he buys more midfielders and more midfielders I honestly believe any half decent manager would sort this team out , trouble is we have one whose confidence is shot and panics which spreads to team. If he had held his nerve we would have had one if not three points, instead he does what he did at this ground a year ago , thats the trouble he isnt learning
  8. I have to say that although he played OK , he was the captain and at two set pieces he was very much a part of a complete amateur defence that looked more Sunday League than Champs. So very hard to see how he and not one of the attack or midfield did not get award. RM will never be a solid CB as he really can not challenge effectively in the air. Dropping Bennett again must make it clear he will never be first choice under AN
  9. So at least we get some facts if not from our own club, clearly went for him with usual low offer didnt up it enough. Then Forest sell another one for 12 m plus and pressure to sell gone. Makes sense to use some of that money to up players wages contract terms as by all accounts he is a 20 plus striker in this league barring injuries.
  10. Oh dear we are in a mess really , how many of our squad really are happy to be fighting to go up again. AN should have made certain anybody who wanted to leave left over the summer, get best possible deal and move on! As I suspected we have too many in the squad who are not thrilled at another year in the Championship!
  11. I have a lot of respect for Pullis , he at least has the guts to say it as it is, not hold back in case he gets told off or given the push. Same with Bruce at least he knows when to move on when relationship breaks down. Someone is to blame for not getting our targets , its either finance, bad management of bids or not setting realistic targets. We had lots of time to get it right this time yet failed!
  12. I must say that over the years the arrogance of NCFC to its fans at times staggers me. This is a business that relies on public support and yet the access the media gets is frankly pathetic. The media in Norfolk also seem reluctanct to ask the tough questions fans want answered. AN himself said after last years fiasco it was sorted wouldnt happen again. However here we are again. Both Villa and Newcastle our relegation partners have invested. Anyone could have told you the stakes and thus fees would get higher thanks to Skys Premier money. It just feels like mushroom management where we the fans are kept in the dark and fed s**t. Please AN if you are not happy then have the guts to say so , for once lets really hear what is going on!
  13. You are right to say Wes Martin and Ruddy have been great servants of the club as have many before, however players will always be judged on their recent performances not the past . We all now Russell Martin is Norwich to the core however I struggle to see his future here now. maybe as RB rather than Whitts but his weakness in the air gets so exposed as a CB . Unfortunately all players have a limited playing career and the one thing Managers can not afford is loyalty over ability, as Naissmith proved at Birmingham.
  14. Please do not let AN off the blame here, read the statement about strikers he made a couple of days ago as deadline approached . He made it clear yes he would like another striker HOWEVER he did not say we must have another striker. Personally I am fed up with these managers who will not just say the truth ie can not afford another unless someone goes or what we have is good enough etc. We have too many players in the squad now who should be gone but will instead train all week knowing full well they will not be playing on Saturday!
  15. Oh Hogesar, Really you have a go at Lafferty for having a go at fans and in same statement call them f ... Ing morons yourself, you really havent a clue have you. At least have the decency to not immediately assume that everyone who has a different opinion to you is someone to throw abuse at. There seem to be two types of fans on here, ones who think AN is some form of idol who to question any of his efforts is treason and those who have seen enough of NCFC being that nice little club every now and again pretending or trying to muscle in on the big boys party in the Premier League. Lafferty is one of a group of players that should not be here anymore like Turner Bassong , who will only play if AN has to. AN is unfortunately showing all the hallmarks of a bad manager, in that he equates what goes on off the pitch with the ninety mins on. However most fans really dont care if the entire squad goes awol all week if they play well when on the pitch. Typical example is Naismith who is well off form yet against Brum is elevated to CF against Lafferty who can head and hold up the ball pretty well and more importantly has played there more than once!
  16. However you look at it a very very impressive result tonight which proves given right team we can play and score freely. Yes it was against Posh but it was away . Well played lads hopefully will see more getting a chance to play in senior team and wake up some of our more experienced players
  17. Ok TC et al usual abuse etc . If I said to my boss I could do with someone else to help me if opportunity arise etc which is effectively what AN said then how much urgency would my boss put into that task. If you are happy that AN goes with two strikers until January say so not just have a go. If you think Whitts Bassong Martin etc are good enough this year say so . In other words backup your post with your opinion , and if you bothered to follow what AN said even you would know he was concerned with high injury list and was checking if anything to do with training regime! Last season I was staggered when AN failed to get enough backup in defence and said so , AN said that had been solved this year with decent setup in scouts etc yet once again we have failed to get our primary targets while our rivals do so. Only time will tell I hope I am wrong but if you feel confident AN will get us up again with this squad say so, then we can check back in New Year.
  18. I have tried to keep the faith with AN but enough is enough. 1 He really thinks we have enough forwards even though Laffs is only played as last last resort against Brum so yes we will only have two forwards this season! 2. He has kept players who should move on even given Whitts new contract which he repays with interest at Brum. The like of Whitts Martin Turner Bassong Dorrans Jarvis are not the future and should have gone when we came down. 3. Something badly wrong in training to have this many injuries so early is unacceptable. 4. The Laffs situation reminds me so much of Grabben and suggests AN doesnt deal well with stroppy ones. Alex F once said is not how you deal with good teamplayers that matters but real management is getting the best out of difficult players that counts . 5. Starting against Brum with no recognised Forward for me was last straw , we could and should have won that match and probably would with Laffs on from start. AN is demonstrating complete lack of plan and has a squad dominated by midfield players with not enough quality depth upfront or in defence. Games are not won in the center of the pitch as we proved at Brum with majority of possession.
  19. Well give you that this post is so hard to believe it could happen, would not be happy especially with Lyle who has not always impressed as at Shef Utd but anything this late is going to be a punt and two strikers is what we need.
  20. Middlesboro are not short of cash at present so why would they sell him ! I really struggle to see why we have left it once again so late , the longer we leave it less likely to happen as club will struggle to replace whoever we get in time left. Rhodes is good but for reason above I would prefer Forest striker , they are short of cash and struggling , so he will want out and make decent offer he will come. However no doubt we will instead get last minute loan panic signing instead .
  21. Sorry any fan that isnt shocked to see our team finish with no striker on the pitch for last third of game should the ones being ashamed! This is after all meant to be entertainment and I think crowd deserve better than this . Beginning to think AN hasnt a clue messed up last summer , now going down same path , could make another team out of midfield squad! Squad needed real refresh not tinkering with
  22. And if AN really needs to show powerpoint slide on injury then slides down again in my view, Grow a pair AN if media , fans dont believe you tough their problem not urs!
  23. Yes he is having a medical at Everton to assess if he will be ready for Premiership start !
  24. Always think its a mistake to go back in time, Chris is agreat footballer nearly lost his way here, found it at Derby luckily just when he was about to sink without trace. Goal scoring is all about confidence it can come and go so easily , Vardy could switch off tomorrow and be worth little in a year such is football . RVW is an example of that you can see he has the talent just lost the confidence to finish which is so hard to get back. Try to hard and like Jerome you get offside or snatch at chance. We need a hungry striker young and connfident, the Forest lad is my best bet.
  25. Ruddy isnt going anywhere soon I am afraid. AN honestly thinks last years squad with a bit of tweaking is good enough to go up again. I hope he is right fear he is wrong. Ruddy Martin, Whitts, Turner, Bassong, Dorrans Jerome , Lafferty , Jarvis should have gone this summer to freshen up squad. To be in AN squad you seem to need to be Scot or midfield preferably both , we have effectively two forwards on books no new defenders or forwards , great! Personnally would have given Rudd a chance in this league with McGovern as competition.
