Furthest Season Ticket holder
Sing Up The South Stand replied to Hog's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Well used to live somewhere between Jessop Road and the Avenues - miles away I know, and now I''m much nearer just off Dereham Rd in West Pottergate ;-) -
Season ticket prices
Sing Up The South Stand replied to Suffolk exile's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I heard/read somewhere, that Delia and Michael''s views are quite strong about that, and the Turner''s when they were here wanted to do things like hike up ticket prices, but Delia refused. As she really believes in the "affordable family football" thing the club like to tell us about. I''m not sure what I''d think about it, things are tight for me, and can only just afford it - and will go up next year as I''m over 21 - but if paying a good deal more helped secure the club financially and enhance the chances of success, maybe it''s worth it. If Doncaster was still here, I wouldn''t trust what they''d do with the money. But if prices were hiked but with McNally in charge, I trust what he''d do with it. -
Selling Carrow Road?
Sing Up The South Stand replied to DOGGER's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I guess the main problem would be, if we were to start doing well on the pitch again (I know we are but L1), reached top of the Championship and possibly the Premier League, and wanted to increase capacity, we would be unable to as we wouldn''t own it. And would mean buying it back, and then building, unless the council/company decided to do it which I can''t see. Also, wouldn''t all our income go down? As where would the money from food and drink etc go, would we get it or would it be the company who owned CR? -
Leeds or Man Utd?
Sing Up The South Stand replied to morty's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Think for me it''s Leeds getting hammered. Bring them back down to earth and remind them they are in League 1 for a reason. -
Cluck well done on the most unoriginal piece of "info" ever. Obviously his aim will be to manage a certain much bigger team from Glasgow, but that will only happen if he succeeds here. So not this league, as we were always - with a vaguely decent manager - going to do well. If he does well with us in the Championship, maybe then will they take the plunge.

BA - Away fans are often louder than home fans, and our fans away are noisier than at home. cufone or whatever it is, i agree, leeds have to be the most disliked team in the entire league... I do think Beckford and his antics, and Leeds are a match made in heaven!

Fans are kept out of carrow road
Sing Up The South Stand replied to CryBabeBinners's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Thing is with Cluck, he would prefer being able to turn up at a game just before kick off, but he would start slating the club as-per-usual for not being able to be good enough to be in a better league. Can''t moan about how we are doing now, so thinks of some excuse like that. Anyway, the elderly or people out of work, or people who are disabled like myself, can still get season tickets.... So you can''t add those to bash the club. -
No more evening reserve games
Sing Up The South Stand replied to mnc's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Could someone please explain to me how playing at 2pm saves us money exactly???
I guess mainly the floodlights, and when you consider a lot of people get into reserve games for free, or a few quid, and attendences are low probably don''t make much on food. It all adds up. Think they''ve previously said they make a loss on most reserve games... -
Celtic's John Kennedy retires
Sing Up The South Stand replied to aka_riise's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I seem to remember last season, we started with Stefanovic and Kennedy in the middle of defence, and didn''t do too badly. In the first 6 league games, which Kennedy played in we conceded 8 goals, 1.3 goals a game. In the rest of the season after he was injured, 40 games, we conceded 62 goals, which is although not much, is more per game than with him in it (1.55). So clearly he wasn''t that bad! -
Roger Munby at game last night
Sing Up The South Stand replied to Heffers Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''ve seen him outside at some game, and also sure I saw him in the director''s box another match. -
I was looking at possibly going, but I''m going to a gig that night in London.

Holt
Sing Up The South Stand replied to missing in action?'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I agree it can be frustrating him going out wide at times. But despite that, he''s still scored 10 goals already, so I don''t think it''s much of an issue. -
Marc Edworthy to quit football
Sing Up The South Stand replied to Camuldonum's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Eddy did actually play about 30 games that season, started off as a sub but started from about Sept-April (til the Arsenal game) -
Martin is 55/1, that ain''t bad either.

Fair enough that was arguably in favour for us, but how did the guy not get sent off for his terrible challenge on hoolahan? -

Best goal never scored a Carrow Road

Weren''t that the 3-0 win V QPR? Rusty did score from quite far out that day, shame Dublin couldn''t too.
