Ou Est Anselin? replied to DumbleDelia is Magic's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I would just like to place on record my thanks DumbleDelia for the link. I managed to watch the game in all its glory(!). Just goes to show that us students aren''t the wasters that some think we are, our time is used very constructively! -

Wahey, can''t control my excitement. When can Radio Norfolk get a decent commenator in? -
Jamie Younge
Ou Est Anselin? replied to Bentleys Slicked Back Greasy Hair.'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
If its the same Jamie Young then he plays for Reading. He is a young keeper and plays for the England under 20 side, although he was born in Australia. He is a regular in the Reading reserve side. -
Team for Everton?
Ou Est Anselin? replied to DumbleDelia is Magic's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think this would be our best bet at the moment! Green Edworthy Fleming Doherty Drury Jonson Francis Holt Stuart Ashton Huckerby Subs: Assuming they are fit: Gallacher, Safri, Brennan, Mcveigh, McKenzie This is if Helveg and Charlton are still out. -
Ha ha!! Quite the comedian!

Forget Bellamy, it won't happen!.
Ou Est Anselin? replied to First Wizard's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
With Worthington saying he would love Bellemy to come on loan, i think that shows us that he doesn''t mind too much about his temperment. Perhaps he is thinking that returning to his roots will help and the fact that he would be surrounded by settled players and club, that usually makes for a player to settle in. As for the money issue, even if we paid his full wages (around £40,000 a week), that would still only be around £700,000 for the rest of the season. As another poster mentioned, next months TV revenue will cover that! £700,000 would be well spent if it keeps us in the premiership, and if he signed it would be a massive boost to the club, and help us in the push for safety. -
Stoke the only club in for Bellamy!
Ou Est Anselin? replied to stroud canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I agree that a defender or holding midfielder is a piority for a loan signing. However, signing Bellemy on loan would be a major boost. He has always been a threat in the Premiership and would definatly show a statement of intent from the club. I feel he would also be happy to come, when he left us for Coventry he later said he still held NCFC in high regard. As for the cost of it, if we were to pay his full wages then it could cost about £700k for the rest of the season, as mentioned by another poster. I would see that as money well spent if we stay in the Premiership. -
I am going. I am one of the lucky ones with a season ticket!

Team tomorrow?
Ou Est Anselin? replied to DumbleDelia is Magic's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I reckon we will be seeing: Green Edworthy Fleming Doherty Drury Jonson Francis Brennan Huckerby Ashton McKenzie Although i would like to see Hucks being moved off the left wing. When we get a fuller squad back maybe this will happen...... -
Hucks: Striker or winger? Vote here!
Ou Est Anselin? replied to bananaman's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Neither a striker or a winger but somewere in between -
Look on this page: http://new.pinkun.com/content/NCFC/Squad/Injuries.aspx Useful new page on the Pinkun. I agree, we really need someone with a bit of fight back in midfield. Mullers just isn''t on form at the moment. Need Holt back, he can cut out the attacks before thay happen by cutting out the early pass.
-
I would love to see Shackell play, but only a centre back. He has only ever played well in that position for us, never had a bad game. Like you though, cant see Fleming or Doherty being dropped.
-
Green Helveg Fleming Doherty Charlton Jonson Francis Holt Huckerby Ashton McKenzie Though we definatly need a new midfielder to partner Francis! Two up front is also a must having seen the performance on Saturday
-
Mulryne and Edworthys contracts are up at the end of the current season. There are quite a few players whose contracts run out June 2006
-
Well, i would go for..... Green Helveg Doherty Shackell Charlton Bentley Francis Safri Jonson Huckerby Ashton Think Charlton is too short to play in the centre of defence. Harsh on Fleming, but Shackell has that extra height and pace. Safri is in because he is the best of the rest. Another, quality, center mid is needed i feel.

Norwich v Aston Villa
Ou Est Anselin? replied to Northern Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''m going for a 1-0 win. Scorer, mmm, tempted to say Ashton, but will go for a debut goal from Jonson. Its about time he had some luck in front of goal. I''m also there to see Ashtons debut. Villa arn''t playing the best at the moment, i believe that on the form table they are near the bottom. The signing of a goalscorer will hopefully inspire the team. -
Bentley out for 2 months, send him back ?
Ou Est Anselin? replied to KeelansGlove's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I am upset that he is injured as he was starting to play very well and show his potential. However, if he is going to be out for three months that means that we will be paying his wages without getting a return. If it is possible to get two quality loan signings in, send him back, but if not, there is the possibility that he will come in at the end of the season and do a job again.
