  1. Says the guy supporting the club whose star goalkeeper and striker were signed on free transfers.
  2. Have to say I'm enjoying these replays of full games. Think it helps that we had such a good season last year with plenty to pick from! Now watching the Ipswich one.
  3. He reminds me a little of Phil Mulryne. On his day, he's (who said this? Can't remember but it fits so well!) a Rolls Royce of a player. Problem is when he isn't on his game he's entirely ineffective.
  4. Some good shouts in this thread. I remember being pretty impressed by Matt Le Tissier when he came to Carrow Road. Whoever said Wes when he came with Blackpool is so right. Alex Pritchard did the same when he came to Norwich on loan with Brentford. Last season Callum Paterson impressed me at Preston (now WBA on loan from Sheffield United).
  5. Just **** off with the Brexit crap. This isn't the time or the place to be reopening old divisions. You should be ashamed.
  6. Surely there's got to come a point where everyone has everything they could need and super markets become like ghost towns again?
  7. Sean Raggett has been diagnosed. All the best to him and his family - hope he makes a swift recovery
  8. Editing the above post for the very embarrassing missing words!
  9. What's it like working in a hospital in these times Midlands? Must be tough. Hope you know you're all doing such an incredible job (no matter what role you do).
  10. To the contrary. I'm very clear that the preservation of life must be the priority for the government and wider society. That won't stop those who run football - or any other industry - making their own plans. The individual parts of society won't stop when trying to mitigate the issues presented, will it?
  11. The Great Depression was an event that occurred a hundred years ago. I absolutely understand the economic hardships of this are going to become absolutely paramount, I just think we are at a stage where life needs to be take precedence over economy.
  12. I think we have to get through the illness saving as many lives as possible before we consider economic consequences of all this.
  13. But you can't just forget it. It's a multi billion pound industry. Saying just forget it is as impossible as imaging us going back to what was business as usual.
  14. This match! When we went 4-1 down my Dad told me he wanted to go. I told him no. He was so pissed with me we didn't talk until that Drury goal where we spent the next 90 seconds jumping up and down together celebrating. Sadly my Dad has now passed, but it's memories like this that I remember most when I think about him. Not to go too deep - but it's also why I think I haven't enjoyed going to NCFC games as much since he passed. It's taught me it really is the people you share these things with rather than the football itself that makes this.
  15. The Daily Mail have published an article claiming plans being considered if the season ends now include promoting WBA and Leeds, having a 22 strong premier League next season with 5 sides relegated and no EFL cup to make way for the extra fixtures. Could we really keep our Premier League status because of all this?
  16. I have to say I will be playing it safe and not going. I cannot risk passing any virus on to elderly family members.
  17. My team vs Southampton GK Krul DR Aarons DL Lewis DC Hanley, Godfrey DMC Tettey MC Vrancic, McLean MR Buendia ML Cantwell ST Drmic Dropping the no 10 role completely in favour of a second central midfielder (Vrancic). I would also give Pukki a rest as I agree with the school of thought that blames his poor form on the incredible workload he's put in for club and country as of late. Time to see what Drmic can do.
  18. Stiepermann has had 19 appearances to Duda's 7.
  19. Why don't we need cover just because Lambert managed to go without it with Fox?
  20. Why? I think that's adding 2 + 2 and coming up with 5. He's a player whose place on the bench was taken by someone else. No big deal.
  21. He's a talented player. But I think by the time he's settled and he's back to match sharpness, the season will be long over. A shame. I had hoped he would be able to hit the ground running.
  22. Spare a thought for Ralf Fahrmann. He comes to Norwich City and finds his way into the team impeded by Tim Krul. He now faces the prospect of returning to Schalke and finding his way into the team impeded by ... Tim Krul. Would love him to stay, but wouldn't begrudge him a move to a side with European football. The pink Un podcasters were all discussing whether Sheffield United might be interested were Dean Henderson to move back to Man Utd. That's a good shout too.
  23. 1st paragraph is spot on. 2nd paragraph you have to remember we have had more injuries to centre halves this year than most teams get in three years. Farke sees Godfrey as a centre half, and with bodies needed in that position, he was never going to be moved into midfield. 3rd paragraph - We're keeping Tettey because he's the best defensive midfielder we've got, he's a former international player with experience we don't have a lot of within the squad, and he's a popular member of the team. I would hope that there are plans to purchase/develop a replacement ahead of next season, but it doesn't mean there isn't space for him in the squad. And, of course, its exceptionally likely we aren't going to be a Premier League side next season, and he is still good enough for the Championship.
