The squads not that good and Smith isn't a great manager he is certainly not good enough to keep us up. To be honest I said this when we appointed him. We brought Smith in on the back of losing 5 in a row with a good Villa squad. He almost got Villa releagted after spending 120 million and having Jack Grealish so there is no way he is keeping us up with the squad we have.

To be fair Watford have torn better teams than us apart when they have ran at them. They are actually relatively dangerous going forward just **** at defending. But yes we probably do look a little more organised but still not good enough for a realistic chance of staying up in my opinion. The question is Farke or Smith? In my opinion in all honesty I think it's a little bit rhetoric that performances have been considerably better under Smith. Farkes last game was a win also so maybe had started to figure a few things out. I was underwhelmed with the Dean Smith appointment, I didn't really rate him at Villa but let's be honest we have the worst squad in the league. .

First Prem season they were always going to start off relatively well and we will see whether they can keep the momentum going. To be honest we are evenly matched possibly even better than them in some aspects of the game but we have scored 8 goals this season.

And they signed Josh King on a free and he has 5 goals already. There are bargains out there! Of course money helps but recruitment could have been a lot better. It's too easy to just say we haven't got the finances to compete.

I think its important to consider that Villa spent the second most on transfers in the Premier League the year they come up with a massive £144.5m outlay and they had Jack Grealish. However, if it wasn't for goal line technology not working they would have been relegated. Smith was sacked from Villa recently because they were crap under him.
