2.
I was once doing news bulletins for a radio station and had to say "kick off" and accidentally said "cock off"...luckily it was a pre-recorded bulletin so could edit the gaff out!
I can remember years ago when Jimmy Hill used to present Match Of The Day, he finished one programme at the end of British summertime by urging the viewer "don''t forget to put your cocks back."
 3.
I really cannot understand why they need time to "gel" or to "settle" and Lamberts remarks after the loss last week echoed my thoughts in other threads. The new guys are professional footballers being paid good money to perform as a team. They have had weeks of preseason training and if they cannot be a success now they are not goig to be any better "by Christmas". If Norwich intend to reach the play offs they need to win these early matches. There are few injuries and there should be no excuses. Get in there City and beat Scunthorpe. No one is playing on the common at Mulbarton now. This is for real!
Than you have clearly never built or managed a team before. Without getting too w*nky about it - google Tuckman''s Stages Of Group development. I reckon we are between the forming and norming stages. Lambert knows exactly what he is doing. There was more than enough evidence last Friday to see we will be more than relegation fodder this season. Keep the faith.
 4. Going to a BBQ later for me so bangers n burgers. Humble Pie is apparently being served in certain households.
 5.
I don''t imagine the work he does is public, for a reason. And a prize to the thread''s first "witty" Orville joke.
No-one would surely be that dumb. Anyway Cuddles The Monkey was much funnier. Is the prize a good ''un?
 6.
I don''t know why everyone seems so certain we''re going to do well in the Championship?! Yes once we got going we steam rolled our way out of a division we shouldn''t have been in the first place, but even Leeds would''ve got out first time had it not been for a -15 deduction. Lambert has never managed at Championship level before, so who''s to say he''s already taken us as far as he can? If you sign predominantly League One players the danger is that you end up with a League One side. I''d like to see some proven Championship quality arriving before i''ll even entertain a finish outside of the bottom six. I remember clearly Posh being tipped to do well last summer, with hot managerial property Darren Ferguson. They fell flat on their faces playing a very similar brand of football. We are going to look like a bunch of right mugs, if we''re sat bottom at Christmas. Beware overconfidence.
"come back to haunt us"? When have we ever been overconfident before? I, for once, am enjoying that rare feeling of confidence in my teams (and the managers) ability. This is after more years than I care to remember of not knowing which team is likely to turn up on match day. Go and worry about something else.

 11. I don''t know if it''s just me, but I still can''t get used to not seeing him on the corner off Carra Rud fending off unbalanced Canary Callers concerns and questions with his smiling shield of pure bulls4it.
 12. Being totally childish about it...£465,000 or Championship Football next year? SWAP YER!
 13. I''m not sure if the picture on this page was chosen as the best representation of Razor or is a subtle bit of vandalism...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Ruddock
 14.
Brilliant! I love Wiki vandalism. Every week there some examples on the WSC newsletter. 16.
2. Drazen Muzinic v Rotherham away. Lost 4-1n and their tricky winger (Tynan i think) ran him into the ground. And we were 1-0 up after 15 minutes (Greg Shephard)
I have to take exception to this... ...I was far worse against Middlesbrough the season before - we lost 6-1 including an OG from Clive Woods and a brace from the mighty Bosko Jancovic. Against The Merry Millers I was in the number 3 shirt against a very skilful Tony Towner and even big Ronnie Moore scored that day. It all turned out OK in the end - City went back up and I was long gone by the end of the season! "Taxi for Scamps please..."
 17. There is 1 performance that really stands out for me. Paul Dalglish (in fact probably the whole team that night) away at Cheltenham in the League Cup 2nd round 2nd leg 1999. He could trap the ball further than I could kick it that night and so many ''crosses'' ended up on the bowling green behind the away end. We went into the game leading 2-0 from the first leg and scraped through by LOSING 2-1 in extra time with a Lee Marshall goal that looked about 10 yards offside (but Phil Dowd was the ref so it couldn''t have been, could it?) That was the night after months of kidding ourselves that we realised he definately wasn''t his old man (or ever would be) - however many times we chanted "DALGLISH!...DALGLISH!" at him in the style of the Kop. He was so bad, Rioch substituted him with Pape Diop!
 18.

"might as well be Ipswich as they finished mid-table-ish last season and let''s face it, if we finished above them then I think most would consider that an achievement" You have to be kidding. A team that struggled all season and barely wheezed above the relegation places. A team whose top scorer struggled to beat Docherty''s total and will now be cut back even further. Remind us who is having to sell players to balance the books and whose manager has talked of bringing in out of contract players. If we finish outside of the playoffs we will have failed. how many places above relegation the paupers finish matters little to us. The are relegation fodder and should not feature in any realistic comparison.
You do realise the reason we ''wheezed above the relegation places'' was because of our terrible start, don''t you? Our form from November onwards was virtually top six form... Who are these players we are selling to balance the books then? It makes me laugh when you mock us for letting deadwood such as Alex Bruce and Alan Quinn go - it''s like that because we have money we are supposed to have a bloated squad! Why should we? Yes, Keane has talked about 1 or 2 out of contract targets in mind but he has also placed a 3.5m bid for Michael Chopra and is also very keen on Gary Hooper - two players Norwich would be very keen to have. Potentially, Chopra and Wickham Vs Holt and Martin - and you say we''ll be the relegation fodder? Just remember, we may have had our worst season in many years, but we have still finished above you guys for the last five years and have a squad packed full of Championship experience that we will add to for next season.
Your squad packed full of Championship experience will continue playing at this level even based on your assertion "Our form from November onwards was virtually top six form...". This statement doesn''t quite stack up. From the last 28 league games last season you earned 40 points at an average of 1.42 per game. Assuming this form from the start of the season, you would''ve achieved 65 points - enough to finish 8th or 9th...

Roger Hansbury Jurgen Colin Elliott Omozusi Roger Brown Brian McGovern Paul Heckingbottom Julien Brellier Davie Robb Elvis Hammond Trevor Benjamin   I would arrange them in an ''attacking'' 4-3-3 formation and expect clean sheets and goals to follow in abundance.
Drazen, you do realise you''ve only listed 10 players there! Or have you left your name out through modesty[:$] and are perhaps playing in goal (about the one position Bond never tried but possibly should have done...) and Hansbury is the right-back?[:^)]
No modesty here - I will be playing a roving role in as many positions as possible and try to emulate my City career in one match. I will also be substitute and aim to give myself a run out at some point during the second half - replacing me of course!
 20.
Expect mr roy to be gone sooner rather than later.
Mr Roy?!?! That''s far too nice a name for Mr ''Up Yer B0ll0cks''. This is the only Mr Roy for me...

 22.

Norwich will sign Charlie Austin from Swindon now the Robins have not joined the Canaries in the Championship. The deal will be done over the coming weeks for around £750,000. Michael Foulger will provide part of the money for the deal. In other news at Carrow Road, Paul Lambert is also looking to sign Danny Green from Dagenham, though Green''s price has risen on the Daggers'' promotion, Lambo is still keen to add the winger to his squad. The Canaries other targets include striker, Borja Viguera, plying his trade in Spain at Real Sociedad. He''s recommended by new Chief Scout, Ewan Chester. In midfield, Solomon Taiwo will be signed from Cardiff as cover, while Billy Celeski may also be recruited from Melbourne Victory. Defensively, Tommy Spurr is likely to join from Sheffield Wednesday. Fraser Forster''s loan deal should be confirmed early this week. Leaving Carrow Road will be Owain Tudur–Jones to Charlton for around £300,000, Jed Steer will join a League 2 club, likely to be Lincoln City, on loan for the first part of next season, Josh Dawkin may also join a League 2 club on loan. Cody McDonald may be loaned out, while, Matt Gill, Simon Lappin and Russell Martin may also make way.
Crystal ball, tea leaves or wacky backy?
Or ''D''...All of the above!

 24.
LOL, good to see your English has improved Drazen! Love that old City shirt-Admiral classic.
My English has improved greatly from a five year membership of the Pink ''Un messageboards. Back in the day, I struggled with simple words like; ball, pass, header, shoot. However I did quickly master the phrases; ''wages'' & ''taxi for Scamps please''.
